After installing Octralchat, now Y!IM won't work.

It's not really a Kaiser related question, but it is my forum of choice right now. If anyone can point me in a better direction I'd also be appreciative.

Anyways, I was trying to find a free replacement for AgileMessenger when I cam across Palringo and Octralchat. I tried both and realized I liked Palringo more, so I uninstalled Octralchat.

However, now whenever I log into Yahoo! IM from ANY machine, including my PC, I get disconnected a few seconds later by my Yahoo! IM account logging in elsewhere! I've totally uninstalled Octralchat, so I'm thinking it's something on their service end that thinks I'm still with them.

Any idea how to fix this? It's pretty annoying.

some IM programs use jabber to log into yahoo messenger. i think you installed one of those and maybe it's set up to auto-login, which disconnects you from your PC client

my solution is change the password... so the jabber server won't be able to connect anymore (use the web page to do this, not the PC client)
