Symbols (Fn-Sym) needs to soft reset to get back to Onscreen Keybord!!!!

If you want to get a Symbol that is not on the Sliding keybord, you can access a multi-page Symbol tray by hitting (Fn-Sym), Nice but... The only way to get back at being able to access the onScreen Keybord is to softreset!!!

Anyone else with the same issue???
Anyone have found a way to correct this issue???
