SprintTV on the touch - how long till it's on our Moguls?

I saw in the photos of the Touch that SprintTV is part of the software...

I'm curious if that will be part of the update we've been promised (but never delivered on)...

i was told when i bought my phone (in june) that the update woul dbe in october or november, so i think its a bit early to be saying "never delivered on"

but yeah, i heard sprintTV is supposed to be part of that as well

I'm on o2 UK, I connected via wifi no prompts, so yes I would say it works on any network with just a data connection.

Hey guys this cab also works on non Spint networks too. I have an AT&T 8525 phone and the video on it works perfectly, the only issue I have is that the audio drops out occasionaly. Can anybody answer that one

hey, I wonder what would happen if you "subscribe" to channels if not on Sprint... how can they charge you? Will it work, or are they smart enough to disable channel purchases if you don't have a sprint phone?

On top of that, do you guys on sprint think that Sprint will charge us for this? there has been some talk that it needs some ID info from the touch in order to charge its users for subscriptions... guess I'll wait until after some folks get their next bill to see!!

Obviously not. If the premium ones ask you to pay.. it's because they're premium. The non-premiums don't ask you to pay.. because they're free.

PowerVision = data, and unlimited data = unlimited PowerVision

I have a SERO plan and talked with Sprint yesterday. With PowerVision, you get 8 basic channels. Anything above that costs money. I got a free 30 day trial on the Premium ($15/month), just to try it out. I really only wanted the NFL Network which comes with the basic, but my daughter can watch Disney on the car rides. ;-)

If I do want to order the premium channel, is it available on the Mogul? I didn't see the Mogul as one of the "compatible" phone on Sprint website. Furthermore, it's quite funny that Sprint website state that the PowerVision TV Pack (20 more channels like ABC, Nick) cost $ 20 but on the SprintTV application in mogul it said $ 7.95.

Finally, what's this MobiTV? I don't see the .cab file in my Mogul.

I installed on my Mogul and all seems to work good. A few issues I'd like to hear comments on if possible.

1) It launches in full screen - reverse direction. I can slide my screen slightly and the screen direction immediately reverses (as if going to the correct landscape mode) and then let it slide back and watch in "portrait" mode. Is there a way to start in either portrait mode or correct direction landscape mode?

2) It seems to be stuck in PDT. Is there a way to force it to sync time scheduled with either the phone's time or the network time? I am in CDT and the channel schedules are all 2 hours off.

Mine was working fine up until yesterday evening, now I am getting 7000 errors on every channel. This used to happen occasionally on a channel and clear up later. Seems far more widespread and persistent now :(

Someone at SprintUsers Forum claimed that they already have the Touch since yesterday.Hopefully,someone here can extract the SprintTV from the Touch and make it to work for our poor Mogul users here.

According to the Sprint web site, you can NOT order the Power Vision Ultimate Pak ... I know, because "officially the Mogul does NOT YET support Sprint TV nor is the GPS enabled "yet".

I know all about the planned upgrades to REV A and GPS, but WHEN ??

Is Sprint TV a "planned enhancement" by Sprint to the Mogul, or do we have to wait for the hacks ??

I am getting ready to oreder Oguls for the company, but might wait to look at the Touch.

"Break" I.E. broke the program. Meaning that upgrade1000 loaded and then prompted to run the upgrade. Upgrade broke the program meaning it won't open and no longer shows up in the programs folder. Trying to do a straight install from vogue_1005 results in the same. Program does not work.

Mixed results on my end. Half of the time the program loads, half of the time the program get stuck initiating.

Had the cab from the old version installed (that could be uninstalled and it ran fine). Then the dreaded error 7000 or whatever that took down all channels, it said thanks for tests TV wait for touch final version. Final version came out and brought me to a page to get the upgrade cab. Downloaded saved to memory card. Did not uninstall old version, installed new upgrade cab.

Works like a charm everytime on my Mogul, been waiting a while for this!!. :)

Okay, figured out what my problem was. SprintTV does not like being installed on the miniSD card. With it installed on the device it works fine.:)

use Activesync to get it to your device..............copy from desktop explorer, then open up Activesynce explorer and paste onto your device.......use device's explorer and locate the file, then double-click

after weeks trying to get this to work WOW finally last night some miracle it started working... I kept getting the loading screen i installed the update 1500.cab that got the program up and runnig but got stuck on the load screens. Now that i am finally able to view some channels but get the 7000 error ??

I've downloaded the sprint tv to my tmobile MDA, and it didn't get stuck on the loading screen. the error i'm getting is it keeps saying unauthorized user. Sprint TV will now exit. is there any way around this? Also I don't have a cache folder under windows, or sprint tv.

Same.. It was working the night before last when I watched NFL Network. Any workarounds, or is Sprint TV dead on our moguls?

same issue here it was working ok only during weird hours after midnight..... and the past 2 days i've been getting unathorized user errors and kicks me out of the program. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling nothing working it was cool while it last =( :(

I started getting an "unauthorised user" message and then got a message to upgrade to 1005. I did but all I got was a 7000 error on the demo movie. Now I have nothing (eternal loading). I have noticed the error messages and warnings seem to be evolving.

Sprint Customer Service said no SprintTV is planned for the Mogul. It feels a lot like the GPS confusing over the summer.

Well... I got it loaded and the demo movie plays... but when it goes to the TV listings... There is nothing there... If you touch the screen it closes. :confused:
