Upgrading to WM6 - PROBLEM!!!!!!

Hi Guys...

i have a problem. i have installed RUU....024721_NVID to install one of the roms with WM6.

the problem is, the pda install the RUU....024721_NVID but when i try to install the WM6 rom the upgrade..bat says: could not update itsutils.dll to the current version, maybe it is in use?

What can i do??

try to copy the folder for upgrating to wm6 to c:/

because if you have it on desktop or in documents it will be a to long path

also try to restart both your PC and your PDA.. :)

2 - Left the PDA to the welcome screen "Tap to begin"
3 - Run the dos batch and everything works
4 - Hard reset....

S...t!!!! The OS remain the same!!!!!

I try with mysterious, with crystal, now i'm downloading ProphetVIII

What i'm doing wrong!?!?!?!?!

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think you have to sync in order to upgrade, not just stay on welcome screen. Configure the pda on the NIV ROM, sync and then run the DOS batch

have you tried to copy the folder to c: drive

I lanunch the dos batch another time...

I hope...

my qtek died. during the update, active sync shutsdown ainda now the qtek stuks in splashcreen.

after...now, I enter in boot loader mode and i install RUU....024721_NVID again...77%..

Restart in bootlader mode, press and hold camera button and reset


after you can flash a WM5 ROM

It happen to me too, but after nothing changes... always WM5 :(

interesting... I cant sync unless I change the mode to serial.So I really need to install the usbswitch cab. or does in align mode and dos batch the connect is always assured?

yes and don't touch anything till it says congratulation on you have finished on pc

there will come a popup on your phone almost right after you started the upgrade rom but ignor it "It says something about suceeded"

Now I have the error...

"Copying the new Extension ROM.......

Writing the new CrossBow OS ROM...
Copying C:\MYSTER~1.0\itsutils.dll to WCE:\windows\ItsUtils.dll
Could not update itsutils.dll to the current version, maybe it is inuse?
try restarting your device, or restart activesync"


- New ROM in on C:\
- Both PC & PDA Has been restarted several times

Before put the pda under the wheel of my car....

Is existing a solution?????
