hey im a noob and successfully installed _v1.0 with all the tweaks and was working fine...then i went to experiment and accidently erased the config and now i cant "remove program" and when i try to overwrite it by reinstalling it, it says that installation was unsuccessful.
what do i do if i want the program on the phone now....

How can i activate touch flo from the today screen. I slide my down to up and nothing occurs. Ive installed everything correctly... i have to go to cube settings and then exit it for the touch flo to be activated. Can any one help me?

I'm using 1.4.1 with Slithers cube. But I cant get it to open with up swipe from home page.l I just did a hard reset followed by everything in his instructions.txt, to the letter. Can still only access the cube, and everything works fine, if I run the config cube first. Upward swipe to start the cube from home page just will not work. I notice that Flash Lite is running as a background task though.

I'm using the RUU_Kaiser_HTC_WWE_1.56.405.5_radio_sign_22.45.88. 07_1.27.12.11_Ship ROM

Sorry if a solution for this has been posted, I tried digging around through the thread, but it's gotten pretty lengthy. After installing FTouchFlo, I am unable to install anything on my phone. I have plenty of memory. When I try to install anything...even things already on my phone, it gives me a prompt of "Installation of xapplication was unsuccessful." This comes up before I would normally be asked for an installation location (storage card, main memory, etc.).

When I go to remove programs, the program box is blank. I can still access and use all of the programs that I have installed, but nothing is listed as being installed. Even in Active Sync, it only lists the programs that I had previously installed through AS, and trying to uninstall with AS does nothing.

The last thing I was able to install was FTouchFlo. Someone over at PPCgeeks pointed me over here, so I figured I'd ask if there was a solution for this, or if I'm stuck with a hard reset.

my problem :confused: is, it won´t work with Windows Mobile 2003 SE or did I something wrong? Copied the Cab-file to my MDA, searched and found with fileexplorer,tabbed it, installation seemed to work. Found it under "Programs" :D and got te message that it wasn´t made for Pocket PC... :(

I believe this has been assked before, but it has been lost in the oblivion of posts. Anyway, you install cabs by putting the cab on your device (example: on your memory card) then you open it with your device, not your computer.

Perhaps you have the same problem as MR. SLIMM, did you click on the cab on your computer or on you device. You must open the file on and from your device, not your computer, try that.

First off, this is a GREAT application! I've found a possible bug that I haven't seen mentioned in any other threads.

I've noticed that while using FTouchFlo 1.4.1, in, say, Pocket IE (but also observed in other apps), the screen flows very smoothly until I use my scroll wheel (rotary wheel). From that moment on, FTouchFlo causes the screen to jump approx 1 full screen length at a time. If I close Pocket IE (or whatever app), then restart it, FTouchFlo behaves normally again.

Anyone else observe this? I'm using FTouchFlo 1.4.1 on a PPC6800 (Sprint Mogul).

Don't put the CAB in the main directory. Open File Explorer on your PPC, double-click the CAB, and it will install on your device. It should start automatically after that. If not, search for "FTouchFlo.exe" and double-click that. You can't *SEE* FTouchFlo working... there is no user interface, but if you go to Pocket Internet Explorer, or your Contact List, or (almost) any other screen with a scrollbar, you'll be able to drag your finger up/down to move the screen.

I have a Mogul and it's running well on my device. Good luck!

Yeah, you're right. It looks like my direction pad and the keyboard keys also cause this problem (even letter/number keys). Can others test for this issue? List your device, the FTouchFlo version, and whether or not your seeing the problem.

Is this the best place to reach the developer, or is there a better place to report bugs?

Don't forget to switch between applications at least once after changing FTouchFloConfig.txt file. FTouchFlo should reread configuration.

Home.exe will be the same as home.exe (i think, we are under windows :D)

In the default config file, there is for example "TomTom Navigator" without ".exe"
is that important to have ".exe" ?

Hi, I had the same problem, I installed FTouchFlo to the storage card. When the cube runs it seems to write its own version of the FTouchFloConfig.txt to the "Phone\Program Files\FTouchFlo". When I moved this to "storage card\Program Files\FTOuchFlo\FTouchFloConfig.txt". It worked perfectly. Hope this helps

From what I can tell, by disassociating the app shortcut from a particular gesture, that side of zone 2 shrinks/disappears. In other words, right now, I only have Up-to-Down gesture associated with an app. So the top of zone 2 is active. But left, right, and bottom of zone 2 aren't enabled and zone 1 has increased to fill those areas (so I can touch in those areas and scroll just like I can in the center of the screen). That's what it seems to be doing, and it's really nice!

Hi all! I just downloaded the FtouchFlo 1.0 for my Tilt however I am not having any success getting it to work. Is there a place on this site to go where I can download everything I need at one time. It get very confusing and Im not sure which versions to run. Also, What is a ROM? Do I have one? Im not very computer savvy so any help on this would be great! Well first of all, FTouchFlo is not a "Cube Program" - it is an application that allows you to define programs to launch with 'gestures'. You can assign different apps to launch when you slide your finger from the bottom of the device to the top for instance. It also gives you 'finger scrolling' - enabling scrolling in applications like Internet Explorer and Outlook without using your scrollbar (iPhone style).

Anyway, if you want it to launch a 'cube', you need to download and install one separately. There are a few different ones out here, though SCLPF seems to be one of the most popular ones. It was created by a poster named 'Slither', so you can just do a search in the forums for SCLPF posted by Slither to find it. He is also working on another version of it called SCLPC which is much faster, but not full functional. SCLPF will require the download and installation of Adobe Flash Lite - but those kinds of details can be found in posts about SCLPF (rather than this one, regarding FTouchFlo).

Oh, and to answer your question - your "ROM" is everything on your machine that can't be modified/deleted by you. It stands for "Read-Only Memory", and it is basically your phone's Operating System. Some people create custom ROMs that have a lot of stuff pre-loaded, but they aren't for the non technical people to experiment with.

I'd be curious to know the status of this project, too. I love FTouchFlo, and have been hoping the developer can fix the bug where hard keys disrupt smooth scrolling. I check this thread daily, but haven't seen any news for a while.

Forums are incredibly problematic for this - if you're not reading things every day, the data is quickly lost. There's probably some tool posted to this forum that was perfected before I started reading it, and I'll never know about it because there is no traffic about it! I have a related question. I am looking for a way to make the left-right and right-left gestures task switch to the next and previous respective programs; similar to alt-tab on a desktop computer. I searched the forum and found a utility called TaskSwitch which I then set the left-right gesture to launch. However, this solution isn't providing the kind of functionality I am looking for. I just installed FTouchFlo 1.4.1 to be working with SCLPC++ 0-04 (HTC Cube Clone). I got it running but to me it seems that the sensitivity of FTouchFlo is extremely poor on my device. I know from other posts that have "sensitive gesture", but it sometimes take me half a dozent gestures to start the Cube or to turn it.

Hi, I have a little suggestion to improve the program :
Have you ever tried the "smart scroll" option that comes with the SPB pocket Plus ?
It enables you to do like the touch flow (only in internet explorer), but one thing is really great : when you release the screen while moving the finger, it keeps scrolling and stops when you touch it again.
This is reaaally great while webbrosing, I assure you that you can't live without it when you tried it.
It also depends on the speed you give to the "impulse". The scrolling may go on, and then slow do till it completely stops (like it has momento).
And of course it also works like FTouchFlo if you stop your move before releasing your finger (the scrolling stops).

One other great thing would to be to scroll more of the page than the lenght of the actual move. I mean you scroll 10 pixels with the finger, but the page scrolls 20. (We could choose the factor or have it automatically increased depending on the move speed or acceleration, like with mouse cursors)

FTouchFLO doesn't cause this problem I believe, try a soft reset (did you do a soft reset after you installed FTouchFLO?) And otherwise try uninstalling some programs, if the installing works after FTouchFLO then that for some odd reason is the troublemaker. If that doesn't help then I think like you said that a hard-reset is the only option.

Thanks for the advice, t00ms. SPBs functionality sounds nice, but I tried to go with this freeware combo which seems to work quite right under normal circumstances.

PS: Have you got that bug fixed that made the programs that were excluded from FtouchFLO/SL draw only straight lines (example pocketsand)

I tried the demo on my HTC Athena, similar problems. One time it killed all touchscreen response, another time it locked up and the keyboard become non responsive, this was after trying to run the demo mode that only ran in a tiny corner of the screen (maybe not VGA aware?). I did get a short chance to try out the scrolling and it was REALLY NICE, very responsive and truly kinetic! I'll be buying this as soon as some of the bugs get worked out.

I'll post this on the product forums as well.

Okay guys, I think I need some help please.

I'm trying to get FTouchFlo to fire up SCLPC++ by using the old down to up swipe, but regardless of how many different combinations in the config text that I try, I just can't seem to get it to work.

Would anybody be so kind as to post their config that has a working down to up swipe for the SCLPC++ cube? I've scanned through this thread all night and have tried so many things, but I'm at a loss now.

Similarly, I've gone back to the free version: problems I've had
- fails to scroll SKTools windows (free version worked fine), after trying to scroll the device locks solid & has to be soft-reset
- fails to scroll a floating text window after it has been moved (e.g note preview in Spb Diary), again device locks solid after trying
- regularly loose touch screen

I hope there's a fix, also ... would like to buy this if it can work ...

There is one posted in post #50 on page 5 by eFrost that isn't named efrostminimize.exe. On page 9, I think, he mentions one having been posted that fixed from his so I gather that that exe is the one.

I also notified for these several days, ftouchflo failed to work.
I cannot modify the config file, every time I try to edit and save, notification window popped up and tell me that I have sufficient memory. i tried to edit-save another .txt file, and it was alrite.

Tried to overwrite the old config file with the new one, and after softreset ftouchflo completely undetectable/not working.

Anyone know this sympthom?

hi, it's a wonderful application but still without work correctly on my pda (some bugs) but also I got troubles to stop the delay function on the denied rporgrams ie tombraider (it's stop only the gesture shortcuts)

I'm using this on a Mogul with dcd 2.3.1 and the screen isn't flowing smoothly. It scrolls when I drag, but stops as soon as I take my finger off. Isn't it supposed to keep going a little bit after I stop? That's what I see in the videos.

yes, this program is essential for nearly all configurations of the Cube. That is because with this app, you can map the "Down-Up" Gesture to call up the cube. it works with PointUI, which does not have TouchFlo. You will have to add PointUI as an application exception in order to have them work together.

I installed HTC Cube, go to the settings, it tells me HTC floTouch is not installed. I go to programs, tap on flotouch, it tells me it;s already running, try cub eagain, still tells me flotouch is not installed. Soft reset, and it still does squat.

You have to go to the Ftouchflo, configuration and disable every program that you don't want to use Ftouchflo in. I don't use ftouchflo any more but if i remeber well, the config file is in Proram files folder or something like that.

I just got my HTC Mogul PPC-6800 on Friday, 3/28 and am just starting to personalize the thing. I have been attempting numerous TouchFlo / Cube applications including the ones listed in this posting but still have not been having any luck. Can you suggest something or is there a set way to download and install the files? Possibly linked with other files? Please help as this is starting to get rather annoying. FTouchFlo is not ignoring SIP. I have tried multiple combinations in the config.txt. From raising the delays to lowering them. Turning off and on scrolling. etc. After every change I would soft reset and try again. Still the response time of my PCMkeyboard is way way slow. The only way I seem to be able to ignor the sip completely is to not have FTouchFlo not running.

Please help me figure out what's wrong.

Navigate the CONFIGURATION TOOL for FTOUCHFLO and I think that somwhere you will find a place for exceptions, and there you can specify the programs or games where you want to disable the FTouchFlo gestures.

First of all, many thanks to all donators!

Unfortunately I don't have much time, so new feature introduced not so fast...

Changes in 1.4:
1. Fixed a few bugs causing not stable behavior (freezing, white-screen or so.).
2. Fixed LeftRightAppCmdLine parameter parsing.
3. Fixed "Excluded programs" list.
4. Display orientation now checked for each point. Hope issues with "incorrect calibration" in landscape mode on some devices will be solved.
5. Whole application optimization.
6. Added scrolling in "Agenda One" windows. Changed scrollable window searching algorithm.
7. Added possibility to turn off scrolling function. New parameter "DisableScroll" with possible values: 0 - scrolling enabled and 1 - scrolling disabled. For example, to disable scrolling in all windows put DisableScroll:1 to the configuration file.

I turn the Treo back on when I need it and the complete screen is deactivated.
I need to soft reboot to get it to work again. This happens avery time the Treo turns off.

Seit gestern morgen nun versuche ich nun den Cube aus dem thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=358102&highlight=wm+2003se zum Laufen zu bringen. Dieser ist siogar extra in einer WM2003 Version programmiert worden. Nur leider benötige ich FTouchFlo, um ihn auch ein und ausblenden zu können. Oder eben eine Alternative für FTouchFlo, wobei dieses Programm hier super wohl super ist.

That Ftouchflo is nothing more than a scoller for applications up and down. and a program launcher.

So simple you can't figure it out cause its nothing like IPhones Touch.

You basically open a program that has a long listing that you can take ur finger and pull up and down on it to make it scroll. Or to the left or right edge of the monitor do an up and down and it'll open up a program.

So simple its retarded.

Hello.
I install FTouchFlo 1.4.1 in my Athena with WM6.0 ROM.
Also I Install the FTouchFlo Configuration Tool V0.9
My issues are:
1. The icon of the arrow of the mouse appears in the screen, where I touch. At the beginning it will be quite nice. But now it very annoying. How can I disable the arrow.
2. Also in Programs folder, the icon of the FTouchFlo appear as a box, like the icon is missing.

In my HX4700 with WM6.0 also I have these issues, and I notice that some times it makes the device freeze, and when I soft reset the configuration of the screen appears, but with FTouchFlo, I couldn't set it, I have to Hard Reset the device. Is there any solution?

But I am trying to add People to the people section and program icons, I seem to not be able to add the icons and contacts to the people, does any one have any suggestions for how I need to do this? Also the setting section does not work completely.

FTouchFlo doesn't work very well with Exidler fingerkeyboard v2.1, when enable the FTouchFlo, I can not type properly with fingerkeyboard....it keep minimize the keyboard after several letter typed, and not very responsive but when i disable the FTouchFlo, all probs gone....

can someone solve this, or what windows exe that control the keyboard stuff? i want to put that in exclusion program, maybe this will work, can someone help me...

Would someone help? After installing FTouchFlo on my LG Incite:

1. The Screen Alignment hangs and must reset to gain control; alignment "drifts"
2. The hapatic feedback no longer works.

My work around for #1 is to reset, uninstall FTouchFlo, align screen, then reinstall FTouchFlo. I usually do not need to align the screen, but it seems to lose calibration while using FTouchFlo. Uninstall FTouchFlo is the only workaround for #2. I would rather have FTouchFlo functionality than the hapatic feedback.
