display fades in and out with finger pressure

Hi what can be done to stop this? I picked it up used off of ebay and the first problem is I have to keep constant finger pressure on the tmobile logo area to make the display bleed through. Otherwise it fades to white.

Any ideas or questions to lead to a fix?

You either have a bad connector going to the LCD or your LCD is about to crap out. You can download the service manual for the PPC and take it apart to see if it's the connector or the LCD. I'd bet it's a failing LCD. If so, you can get a LCD screen of EBAY and replace it.

Just to add a minor thing to calouro's post, before you buy one off of ebay make sure you know which one you need. They make 2 different versions for the wizard and they're not interchangeable. That means that you need to take it apart first.
