How-To Verify a digitally signed file against a known serial number
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 1

Download the file you wish for your device.
(i.e. "JASJAR_WWE_20108_20301_11300_wwe_ship.zip")

Step 2

Unzip the download.
(double-click the ".zip" file and then click on "Extract all files")

Step 3

Open the directory that you un-zipped the download to.
(i.e. folder "JASJAR_WWE_20108_20301_11300_wwe_ship")

Step 4

Locate the InstallSheild setup program in the ROM folder, then right-click it and choose "Properties".
(i.e. "JASJAR_WWE_20108_20301_11300_wwe_ship.exe")

Step 5

Once the file properties is open select the "Digital Signatures" tab, then in the "Signature List" double-click the "HTCCertificates signing authority" signature.

Step 6

Once the "Digital Signature Details" is open select the "Advanced" tab then compare the "Serial number" with the known one.
(My S/N: “ec b8 10 3b e7 65 19 ba 4f 05 48 14 e3 34 97 61”)

Step 7 (Results)

If the serial numbers match then rest easy because you are using a "TRUE" Jwrightmcps ROM that has not been altered and is virus-free.

If the serial number does not match then it is not my original work and should not be used!

NOTE: I did this is case these files make it onto other sites, it will give you guys a way to tell if it is really mine or not. I will always use this serial number (ec b8 10 3b e7 65 19 ba 4f 05 48 14 e3 34 97 61) from now on to sign all my work, so please make note of it!

Thanx for your work, i have already installed your new release, looks good! Only the problem with message button unresolved:Probably I describe this problem badly. I will try it again:
1. Soft reset my device
2. In the meantime someone send me new SMS
3. I can see notification on my Today screen (see screen capture001)
4. I press the message button which is mapped for Oulook Mobile.lnk by default
5. Normaly I would get in to the Message apllication and read my new SMS, but only what I can see is on screen capture002
6. If I want read my new SMS, I must click to the close button (see screen capture 002) and open the messages by clicks on the screen with my stylus manually, repeated pressing message button won't help

If I receive second SMS, at once it works well, but the first message do this botdello.. As I said, I did hard reset several times and I have clear device.

Just installed, glad to see that the vendor ID has been fixed, so the wmodem works again! You did a very good job, all of us really appreciate your efforts.
Just a little question: is there any reason to pre-install Skype v2.1 since the v2.2 is out since june? Not a big deal, I deinstalled 2.1 and installed 2.2 manually, pure curiosity! :)

And the biggest file Skype.exe will leave in Extended ROM. It is about 4 MB saved memory in your device.

My question was just a pure curiosity regarding the version shipped (i.e. bug in the version 2.2 or any other issue that elected the v2.1 as the candidate).
For me Skype is useful when I'm out of office and I have a wi-fi connection available (only to chat, voice is too fragmented). I installed it in the unlocked extended memory, so the 4MB you claim are not a big deal.

That's a fix to have the device properly identified when using the wmodem prog to have the uni act as a modem for your PC.

The "error 120: Country id error" problem still persists in this ROM. 2.02.02 was the latest ROM for Qtek that did not complain of this problem and allowed the upgrade of the ROM.

I never think a second time to install your rom, And I upgraded my rom from the original JASJAR ROM to your 190.... WM5 Rom and thence to yr last 2.02.
And Now As i sit here downloading your newest offering I wonder, what inspires faith that others better qualified sometimes DONT. Well, Your style of communication with the definitive authority of your releases. If we ponder over u, You dont stick around too long after a release and disappear. And you come back and make an offering and yet u rule.

Hey Jason,

You surpass yourself at every ROM delivery you do. You've just done it again, as expected. Version 2.12.02 is even faster and more stable than 2.12.00. Just can''t believe it! Thousand thanks!

The only issue I've found so far with it (and I suppose I won't be able to find another one ever) is common to all the newer builds, regarding the bluetooth 's HFP implementation, because I'm still unable to use my Lubix NC1 stereo headsets for phone calls at all, although A2DP is simply superb. Well, I keep using my Samsung WEP410 to make and receive phone calls. The last time HFP worked flawlessly with the Lubix was in your 2.02.02 ROM (build 15341.0.0.0, if I'm not mistaken).

I wonder if it would be possible to port only the HFP implementation from your old ROM, somehow...

My first sychronization with this ROM was a real pain. It took hours to complete. Just left it connected to my lappy and went to bed. However, the subsequent ones are done in a breeze: truly faster than any other ROM I ever flashed to my Exec.

I think that's a common problem with the new WM6 versions. A recognized that NOTES sync. problem also under Thingonaspring_5.2.1921_18521_070_REALVGA_v2.1 and v2.2.

I'm not able too, I didn't note till you pointed out! :eek: The checkbox to select Notes is not available in my ActiveSync settings :-(

Please, if you have some spare time, take a look a this cab file. Perhaps you can find what it does differently from your embedded Voip feature, for your next releases.

OK, I have found the issue, but really don't want to make a patch. The reason for this is that the affected base drivers (issue cause) are part of the main system and I don't want to cause further issues by just copying over them. I much rather do it the (w)right way and rebuild the ROM.

I did make the correct adjustments for the next ROM build which I will release within 48 hours.
(I also tested Internet sharing, sync over BT and WModem)


I hope nobody has any major issues with this, but I feel this is the way it must be...

I too have experienced a minor sync problem....takes long time to sync and sometimes shows sync error. No major problem as eventually it syncs by disconnecting and reconnecting the device. As Jwrightmcps is thinking of updating the ROM may be he can look into this problem also.

I am having an couple of issues. one of which is that I can't run core player. it just up with a crashes window and then closes. I have been using this cab on a couple of roms and this 2.12.xx rom is the only one I have had this problems on.

also I can't get the a2dp to work with my plantronics 590! I can have the handsfree working on the ms bt stack but not the a2dp. if I install widcomm bt stack I can have the a2dp working fine but not the handsfree! this is a irritating problem. can any one help me to get eather bt stack working with both a2dp and handsfree?

i cheked out my synchronisation is ok and not slow but the NOTES synchronization is unsuccessfull ! do cure this problem till now no other problem i faced. the beam problem i had seems to have solved by itself hmm i dont know y ! but the bluetooth explorer thingy still exists . i was trying to browse nokia n71 with my xplorer but it didn show any file althou it detected the fone. please chek it and confirm it out ! anyone plz! els than that its an amazing rom speed it excellent the responce is awesome and yea i noticed the time it use to take to browse windows folder early reduced too anyways all in all responce is that its a lovely tom eith vrty minor defects thax for ur hardwork man

In the Settings/System is Storage Settings. It's in place of HDD emulation.

Hi Jwrightmcps,

What an excellent job looks, speed and stability are all perfect. I’m sure that you will be able to fix all the problems in your next release. In addition to the bugs mentioned earlier I faced some other problems:

1. Files can only be synchronized from the PC to the I-Mate not the other way around.
2. Arabic language still has a problem as the direction of the text is left to right while Arabic is written from right to left.
3. If I call some one and his phone is busy I don’t get the busy tone neither through the built-in speaker nor through the BT I’m using (Jabra 500) only the screen says busy.

Other than that it’s a fantastic ROM well done and looking forward to your next release.

You can find instructions on how to make your own Voip provision here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299950). However, Schap's SetupVoIP_v0.3.CAB happens to be one of the greatest Voip provision tools out there. You can find it here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=317070).

IMHO, HTC X button is way too buggy. I disable it and intall WkTask instead (since its english release) in all the ROMs I flash to my Exec. @Jason, this has already been suggested some time ago, but could you, please, consider removing the HTC X button application from your ROM and replacing it by WkTask in a future release?

Well to be honest, I have yet to see any viruses on handhelds (key word: yet), but if I felt that I needed one then I would look at CA.

Yes you can set Task Manager to close applications one of two ways (Tap and hold is the default):

"Tap X-Button" or "Tap and Hold X-Button" to close programs

To change between these settings perform the following steps:

Click Start>Settings>System
Select "Task Manager"
Then select the "Button" tab
Now select your desired method (i.e. End programs by tapping "X")

That's all, your done!

I personally feel if u use these themes with a matching background pic they are funtastic. By the way, deleting them will save how much memory ?

Guava Bubbles is 113 kb
Windows Mobile Green is 103 kb

So as you can see, they really don't take much room at all. This is why I left them there (Also these are the default themes from MS)

You have to provide the string "xda" as both username and password, in order to access the ftp section, for what the url should begin with ftp://xda:xda@ftp.xda-developers.com.

I've had, more than once, a problem with camera buffer and then the device reboots.
Did anyone else have this problem with the newer version?
I've only seen reports of that with the previous ROM but to me it happened with both.

Otherwise everything I've used is working fine.

I don't have problem with busy tone. It's working OK.

I found the VOIP services from your last ROM 2.02 the best of the lot for both volume and stability, and I have tried all the VOIP files out there.

The main issue still remains - the sound coming out the speakers not the earphone.

hey tht works wonder, thts an awesome piece of work
however the only problem I am facing is that the messaging inbox acts weird, it is very slow and wont open up for long.. sometimes it would simply open up and show nothing at all.. sometimes I would have to open it click ok and open it again to view it... same goes when I need to read a particular message or email.. when I would exit out of an email or message it would exit out completely and then I would need to follow the above all over again... Do u have something to cure this?

I have just finished installing this fantastic rom. Everything appears to be working very well except for internet sharing over bluetooth. My laptop cannot see any bluetooth pan on my uni, in fact the only bluetooth service offered is "telephony" which fails to install as there are no drivers available.
ICS over usb works well, but I would rather use bluetooth so I don't have to carry a cable.
Any suggestions or pointers would be much apprieciated.
Aside from this my uni is performing wonderfully with this rom, it seems both fast and stable.

i faced the camera buffer problem when i upgraded the radio version to 1.18 from 1.15 ! then coz of it i rolled back to 1.15 .i m not facing this problem thou

OK, I have found the issue, but really don't want to make a patch. The reason for this is that the affected base drivers (issue cause) are part of the main system and I don't want to cause further issues by just copying over them. I much rather do it the (w)right way and rebuild the ROM.

I did make the correct adjustments for the next ROM build which I will release within 48 hours.
(I also tested Internet sharing, sync over BT and WModem)


I hope nobody has any major issues with this, but I feel this is the way it must be...

Problem with BT headset Motorola H500 (name in BT manager - MotoH500).
Sometimes:
- BT device does not cause a voice set.
- BT device does not answer entering calls.
- my sense: the button on the BT device badly works.

Before, all was good (JASJAR WWE 2.10.02 2.10.02 1.15.00).

May be BT device has broken? :)

I reset my device and restarted my computer. Synced my device, started the rom update. The updater then said it was checking the info on my device and that it would be updating from .... to .... My device now says usb 1.01 on teh screen and the updater said error 101 cant connect to the device. I cant soft rest or even hard reset my device. The updater is doing nothing. How can I resolve this issue? Please anyone?

Hi. I tried loading the JASJAR files. My Jasjar screen turned black with USB displaying at the top and V 2.01 at the bottom. The installation gives me a error 101 connection error. Before the error it actually read the phone data and displayed it. When I clicked next it still displayed the Trying to read phone data message and then after about 2 - 3 minutes gives me the error. I now tried several usb ports and I downloaded the software again. The jasjar doesn't want to restart or connect to activesync anymore. I probably did something wrong and any advise would be appreciated.

The same thing happened to me. I hope that I dont have to send the unit in for repair or chuck it.

I have now tried about everything I can think of and the phone does not want to connect. Probably because Windows Mobile Device Center / ActiveSync doesn't see it anymore.
