Make a screenshot of an app running in background ?

Hi, just got the idea of a real cool task-switcher with visual effects.
I made a video (http://blip.tv/file/438322/) to help you understand my *vision* ;)
I guess what we essentially need there is some code to make a snapshot of a task running in background....

Do you guys have an idea how that could be done ?

Hi, a time ago, I have a similar idea of making a task switcher with direct3d using windows images, but I did not fegure out how to get an image of a windows wich is not on top, or even worst, could be minimized.

A work arround would be to have a service which keeps in memory an image of each window at the last time it was on front.

i suppose it is possible, dynamo uses images of tasks running to give a visual task manager.
