Now that I am getting more and more use to my Tytn, I am looking for a good backup app.

With Motorola there is Mobil Phone tools. You can go in and do a complete backup of all your phone data, contacts and such and even after a complete software wipe its a matter of 3 clicks and everything is put back. I am getting good with flashing roms and such so I end up taking a few days to get all my fav apps and such re-installed. I am not even sure how to force the phone to save new contacts to my sim card which would save some time, but I still am looking for a good backup program.

So, what do you use to backup and restore your phone data after a flash?

I used spb backup for most of my backups that were used for identical rom backup. Using the complete backup of one rom and then restoring to another rom is not really a good thing. As a matter of fact I've only had it work properly maybe 25% of the time from rom to diff rom.

The pim backup works really well. it's on vpg 3.62. works great.

A failsafe is NS Contacts Backup. it requires MS CF 2.0 though. it will work from rom to rom. It is free too. i think it's at nxybullsoftware.

Of course this is all assuming that you dont use outlook on your computer (I don't)

Just do a search for contact backup and you'll find lots of answers.

Yeah,
still using Spb Backup. It works properly without any problems as long as you restore to the same device / ROM.

If you want to restore PIM / mail data to another ROM / device: that works fine too but you cant restore application / system settings to another ROM. However, if you do not plan to flash your phone or switch it for another one: Spb Backup is a good bet!
