View Full Version : Kaiser on Docomo networks

I have been reading around the forums for a while but haven't been able to come up with an answer.
I have a Kaiser that I bought unlocked from a Hong Kong provider and brought into Japan. Before buying it I had confirmed that I could get onto Docomo's network via HSDPA using dial up to their mopera service plan.
I would prefer to us their 3G network for obvious reasons and am drawing a blank as to how to do this. In the network config manager there are multiple different provider configs available - no doubt set by the HK provider - but none of these is for Docomo (or Softbank).
Before I try playing around with the Tytn Docomo extended ROMs could anyone let me know if (1) that is going to be a waste of time (2) Which bit of the ROM would have the Docomo specific configs or (3) Am I going about this in competely the wrong way?

Many thanks for any clarity anyone has on this.

Hi shikaishi,

I don't know the answer to your questions,,, but there is a thread here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=328362&highlight=ofiaich) that might be useful...

It's about Softbank; the people who posted in that thread, might be able to help you...
