Hello every1!
My first post here and im already asking for help! :/
i got a qTek 9100 wich doesnt let me allign screen....
i found the way to bypass the screen align at startup after rom-update by placing a dummy file named welcome.not at the memory card root....
but the screen is now messed up!
what info do u guys need to help me? :(
its a qTek 9100 PT from vodafone... i installed the rom
"HTC_wizard_AKU2_PORTUGUESE_ROM2006271651RUU_Prodig y_2180702_21807102_20710_QTEK_PTG_Ship"
dunno what that means but it is it! :/
the pda is working normally... yet the screen is messed up...
i think though registry edition i can fix it :O alltho i need the correct data to input there :D
does some1 has it? or some other way to fix it?
Thanks in advanced

Well I don't know about any reg entry to fix it,but perhaps,if you are able to replace that bypass 'welcome' screen with another,it might fix it,otherwise do a re flash of the Rom and let it go through the screen alignment, infact,it hardly takes a few seconds to do so,not a big deal ;)
cheers

Hi, go to the General Hacking Development section and look for a touchFlo thread that has its own alignment tool. Maybe it will work

Often times, screen alignment problems are caused by an accumulation of dust, trapped around the edge of the bezel and the screen. Use a corner of a business card and clear out the edges. This debris actually registers as false touches and the alignment routine is totally confused by where it thinks you have touched. Give this a try and repost if it helps the issue.

hmm, i'll try both ideas :D
but.... could someone post me his/hers CalibrationData from the registry?
It needs to be from a Wizard (qTek9100) ..!
It located at: HKLM/HARDWARE/DEVICEMAP/TOUCH/CalibrationData
It would really help me out!
Thanks.. i'll keep in touch :D

Thanks a lot raskell!!
I was desperate because I couldn't start my Artemis p3300. Thought align problems where related to a rom upgrade, but cleaning the screen was "saint's hand" as we spaniards say.

best way to skipp allign screen is to place an empty file in the root of youre SD card with the name Welcome.not.
this skipped the proces
