I've got the homeplug working on my Universal :D though if you change to QVGA mode the fonts are too big. I think this is because it is VGA aware and so displays bigger fonts on VGA devices. ;) So if you were to run it in your screens native resolution i.e. VGA it looks and works very well... Though you may have problems seeing all you other stuff  . I'm fine with VGA though so it doesn't bother me at all... :)

Hi,

Any news here?
I tried the app as well, but it doesn't show good.
Want to fix this, do I need to enlarge the icons?
Any suggestions?

Cheers,

Leo

My Friend Laurentius you have to enlarge the layout not the icons.
I am saying that you have to open the distance between each tab so the icons can fully viewed.

Come on do it, you all know that you can.

IF you complete this work i will have a full touch contribution in my Universal and i will upload As soon as possible.

Because you have the knowledge. I am just a noobie about the development of oem softwares.
If you have time to check it it will be great.

I think you're going about the problem backwards :D , though that said I don't know if there is an easy way of changing the font either:rolleyes: ... Changing the size of the text windows in the app involves a lot more work than changing the font size of the numerals within those same windows.;)

Though since I'm very happy with Homeplug in full VGA all I can say is good luck, because I think you guys are going to need it! :)

Well... I noticed that this app runs great on the HTC Blue angel.
The screen of the Blue angel has the same size as the Universal.
It still doesn't run 100% on Uni.

i'm working on it.
to answer your question about blueangel, it has a 320x240 screen, lower resolution of that of universal, which is 640x480.

i'm trying to develop a home plugin for our uni, but it takes lot of time.

Hi,

I haven't found a solution for HTC home plugin, but there is something which will do much the same - and is skinnable (you can write your own!).

It's at http://rotlaus-software.de/

I don't wish to copy anyone's themes - there are soo many there! But here's an example:
http://img162.imageshack.us/img162/7923/image1oh9.jpg

You get the idea! Look at http://rotlaus-software.de/forum/viewtopic.php?id=88 for some more examples

Here is a patched htchome.dll that supports VGA screens. Font size is small, but readable.
Install a CAB then place the DLL from archive to \windows directory on the device. Overwrite the existing file. Of cause you should switch off the plugin in "today / items" before overwriting the DLL.

To make things easier, I was wondering if someone can lead us to the newest version of the

2. 1. HTC Home and Audio Manager ->QVGA

Thanks again for the insight.

10th December 2007, 07:04 AM
Disabling Cyberion Speed Dialler didn't solve freezing problem either.

Moved all ringtones from \Storage to \Windows\Ring directory help a bit but still causes intermittent freezing.

Found a temporary solution: suspected SD Card plug-in-play causing the freeze in bringing up power of PDA from hibernate/sleep mode. Removing the SD Card from the slot did solve the problem so I can now use HTC Home & receive calls even in laptop/landscape mode.

Will check later if the problem is due to slow SD Card (as mentioned before, I never had missing SD Card problems in any of the new ROMs) or program memory resource problem. Taking out SD Card releases about 1Mb of program memory!

Thanks again pa3x for confirming that the problem exist in others too, otherwise I would have refrained from installing HTC Home when it's not the real problem!
