I just tried updating my 8125 with this update (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=330080). I had my deviced unlocked by Cingular some time ago. Anyway, I get to the end, get the error message and go into the recovery tool. I have the red, green and blue screen. I run the recovery tool and the error is I need an updated RUU tool? Now my screen is stuck on the red, green and blue.
Now what?

try flashing to your latest provider rom. if you can get to that screen (bootloader) you're not bricked.

I ended up doing that and it did the trick. So I have started all over again. I can't however locate the RUU version 1.5? so that I can downgrade the rom, run CID and then flash. The link on that post does not work.

As long as your phone can get into bootloader mode (tricolor screen),it's not bricked.
What you mean by getting your phone unlocked by cingular, you must have gotten the SIM unlock code from the cingular,it'll only SIM unlock your phone, meaning you can use sim of any carrier with this code, but SIM unlock and CID unlock are two different things. If you want to upgrade to wm6,you are required to CID unlock your phone.
Read the unlocking guide here :-

I know this question has come up a million times, but I have an 8125 IPL 2.25 SPL 2.25 thats stuck on the red green and blue screen tried to update to WM6 and screwed up, I know the answers are all here but if someone cold take the time to put them in a sequence for this stupid old man would be appreciated or if you want me to send you the phone and pay to have it done can do that as well.... Leave me a message

Would help if you let us know whether your wizard is G3 or G4...

I don't think I'm as lucky..
I was having issues iwth my G4 Wizard getting the TNT TouchFlo 19199 ROM to flash. It said it was OS only so I didn't do SoftSPL (possible mistake)
It locked at 99% with a communications error..
I then tried to flash with what I thought was the wizard Love rom but turned out (Definate mistake) to be the Wizard Button which it came up as successfully flashed but it froze at teh start up screen..
That is when I noticed that the IPL was 1.01 instead of 2.28.0001 like the SPL.. Now this thing won't even power on.. This device I believe then is truly bricked.
Any thoughts on what I should do other than pretend to talk to ppl on the phone?
