Does pdaviet rom CID lock the device?

Hi

I have an unbranded german herald and used to flash offical RUUs in german and english without any problems. Today I flashed the latest pdaviet touchflo rom. Because I didn't like it I tried to reflashed the WWE RUU. But this time I got the "invalid vendor id" message. I flashed with the german RUU - no problem. I tried again to flash the englich RUU -> "invalid vendor id" !?!?
My CID unlocked herald now seems to be a CID locked herald - is this possible ?

I found several msgs about the "invalid vendor id" with pdaviet (unfortunately after I flashed my device) but I didn't find any msgs about a CID lock.

you can only ruu with an ruu of the language that your herald came in.
and for the record, aserg's method doesn't actually cid unlock

Hi,
Mine is a Dopod C800 from HK, originally it was English, now it's bricked after USPL-beta3. :(
It shows IPL 1.9.0001, SPL 4.10.0000. Tried all the RUU versions (different lang) I could download, it takes NONE. Invalid vendor ID, or Error [226] flash write error.
So what vendor it is locked now to?

Hi,

but I was able to use the english RUU on my german herald before I flashed pdaviet. And now it is not possible again. This really make me wonder. Now I have to use the german RUU but I liked an english rom much better...
