very nice rom, but I found one bug in the dialer, the contact softkey (on the left) works, but does not show the text "contacts".

Has somebody any idea how to solve it?

The two softkeys are controlled by the registry keys in:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> software -> microsoft -> today -> keys

There will normally be one key which is 112, which controls the left softkey.

You will need to create 113 to change the right soft key, use the same format as 112.

1st entry:
Name must be Default, Value will be whatever you wish the key label to be
2nd entry:
Name must be Open, Value will be the full path and name of the app you wish it to load.

HTC customiser should do the trick no? of course you could just add them manually, HHC is far easier.

Yes, almost all cooked roms do not include TomTom software in it due to licensing issues. Search the forum for the latest tomtom cab (V6.03) file or if you have the cd, load it from there

My tomtom software whas already inside wm6, so i dont have any installation cd from that. Also i found no 2577 folder on my sd card :confused: . I sure have the gps before because i tested it more then once. Hope you can help here. Thnx

In my original MDA compact rom from T-mobile was TomTom installed in the EXTROM files. When you flashed B&B rom, you probably deleted the TomTom files.

doubleclick the downloaded file (ttn.ppc.6.030.8320.cab) on your desktop computer and just use the included file called ttn.cab (just drag and drop from the cab-file to desktop or somewhere else), then copy ttn.cab to your device and try this one. should work

Total Commander isn't included in ROM afaik. Download from here (http://ghisler.fileburst.com/ce/tcmdpocketarm.cab)

attached you can find a cab with Tom's Icons, if you want u can use this to change the icons

1.) How can I get the keyboard that is the first screenshot on the left in the starting post. Every time I get the keyboard with muliple characters on 1 button. I would like to have the one with the numbers at the top and then 1 button per character

2.) How can I get rid of the earth background in the com manager

3.) In my previous ROM (Fracoon's) I could minimize the batterystatus to the right bottom corner. In this ROM it does not seem to be possible? Am I doing something wrong or should I download a different version of BS

My HTC home plugin cannot use custom city code for weather sync, but this same code is used by Forcastfox in Firefox and there is no sync problem. I have already used the HTC home configurator, but no chance to config the weather. In Artemis_touch_2.1 rom was no problem to use this citycode.

Not blind but i think looking to the wrong symbol.
On page 1 of this thread you can see battery status under the point "tf setting method" from tom - it´s a line with 41% restpower and the speed of 260 MHz.

Tap shortly at this line on your device and then you are able to modify the settings!

talking about PCM Keyboard.
I can't make it to work in notes.. even in onenote
It acts like it is writing (tooltip is showing containing the letters i type)
but i see nothng on the screen.
This only works once if i change the keyboard to something else and then return to PCM.
If i close the program (notes) and reopen it i have the same reaction.

I trying to figure out what is the problem TOMs 4.3 or PCM..
Anyone with the same problem?

To enable the default Wm6 phonepad change this regkey and do a softreset:

HKLM\Security\Phone\Skin > Enabled = 0

the original theme is the 'Windows default' theme. Yes, you're right... This one has green bars at the top and the bottom of the screen. You should go to programs -> pda settings then run black bars and voila you've got again black bars, and the original theme...

BUT be careful - it always worked EXCEPT this time. Upgrade from original or B&B4.1 to B&B4.3 and you'll lose all SMS!

I flashed the German version as well. (Ländereinstellungen = deutsch).
Almost everything is in German, except the xt9 support. That´s still in English.
Can someone give me the German xt9 file/library?

As well if I end calls the Windows Explorer opens automatically. You might say that this is due to my fingers hitting the 'explorer button' underneath the red 'call end' button, but I didn't have these problems at all before using different ROMS (like Meschle or similar...) Any Idea how I can fix?

USPL is never wrong. It only lasts for seconds so why don't you want to give it a try.

Yes it does. But remember that first time when you flashing from WM5 or from WM6 original you must run USPL!

got a problem. After starting the TomTom I'll get always the 'mouse mode' activated in the background, without having done anything special. As well if I end calls the Windows Explorer opens automatically. You might say that this is due to my fingers hitting the 'explorer button' underneath the red 'call end' button, but I didn't have these problems at all before using different ROMS (like Meschle or similar...) Any Idea how I can fix?

I have this problem sometimes, whatever ROM installed on my Artemis (Meschle, Tom B&B, etc.) so I think it might come from TomTom !

Yes i have tmobile mda compact and I am running this rom. Use USPL before flashing rom. I had CID and SIM locked mda.

Great job. WWE rom was excellent, french is better ;)
But in this rom I found some bugs :
- sometimes I can't make camera working, my m650 displays something like "Can't initialize amera..."
- I can't reduce backlight
- When I push the turn off button, the phone is always on but I can't turn on the screen
- Screen doesn't turns off alone

Those problems doesn't appears in WWE version.

Try to disable the htc home plugin before you try to delete theese files...

Make a CAB file with the same file names install that cab file and then remove it.

Resco should do the job. Mostly you can't remove a file that is part of the rom but you can rename it.

Tom when resco tries, it in deed copies the file and renames it.
Total commander couldn't do it neither, as for rebuilding a cab, I am not good enaught.
I'll stick with my icons then, or make multi entries in the contacts.

I'm loving this ROM!!! It works like a charm!
The only thing is... my Backlight Setting (Start/Settings/System/Backlight/Battery Power) constantly drops to 10 seconds, each time I power off my Artemis... I couldn't find another program on my device that can alter the duration of the backlight. I looked through this and other forums but I couldn't find an answer. Can somebody help me?

I am using the Ger 4.3, and I love it.
I have a small problem with navigon, after i have used it two or three times, i must reboot to use it again. I think this is a Navigon Problem though.
Tom's software is always top. I have not had one bug in his releases.

Nice work!!! It's good to have these easy option for on/off xT9;-) Especially for us which doesn't have supported language for xT9 in these rom.

But still it'll be great to have other languages not only 5 basics. Here (http://www.nuance.com/t9/xt9/) they write that XT9 should be for over 40 languages but where to find these? On modaco I found some solution only for smartphone:-(

And also under PocketCM Touch Keyboard still doesn't work good :-( But this isn't about this perfect ROM;-)

2 Problems i have encountered with the 4.3 version.

1. You have given a rom update on page 2 i think, but i can not seem to overwrite the old one, how do i do this since it keeps saying read only/permission error.

2. When i write an sms message in the 'to' line, i start writing a name and it does not automatically show matching names in a list as it did in previous versions, i think it has something to do with the xt9, but im no expert so please could you help with this since i find this feature very useful.

Got everything working how i want, except for that.

I realised that flashing twice in a row was good to keep the machine clear and fast.

Here is how I did:

Get Artemis Update SPL v.01 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1305931&postcount=1)
Get the Black & Blue ROM v4.3 French Final version (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1607397&postcount=5)
First ROM flash
Plug your HTC P3300/SPV M650 to your computer with the USB cable (no Bluetooth, no Exchange Server) and connect your device to ActiveSync
Check that your device is charged at least 50%.
Run and execute USPL (run start_uspl.exe then follow the instructions)
Let the machine boot, wait for ActiveSync to be connected again
Run RUU.exe from the Tom_v4.3_FRE_Pro folder you just extracted, flash your device, let it boot and don't touch anything on the device.
Second ROM flash
From your computer, establish a simple partnership with your "brand new" device (un-check everything in the choice of what you wan't to synchronize), wait for ActiveSync to be fully connected.
Run and execute USPL again.
Flash a second time: launch RUU.exe and wait for the process to finish.
Donate to TOM (https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_xclick&business=donate2tom%40yahoo%2eco%2euk&no_shipping=0&no_note=1&tax=0&currency_code=EUR&lc=US&bn=PP%2dDonationsBF&charset=UTF%2d8) :)

when i ever i try to install the rom it goes up to 3 % and stops and exits the application. and the fone goes back to state before i tried to update. i tried to put it on o2 xda orbit.
i heard that rom flashing only works on the htc artimis and t-mobile mda. i know all 3 phones are from the same fone but i just want to update my orbit.

Maybe i found a bug, but i am not sure. My settings for sms and mms messages are vibrate and ring. I am using this rom from last week and it occured 2 times, 2 times the same problem. After an incomming message the ringtone was o.k., but the vibrating didn´t stop. I had to softreset the device.

But this rom is the best I have ever used.

Hello, thanks for this job but I have a problem with the French rom & Tomtom :
Tomtom is closing itself juste after starting.

I have relflash a second time and test a new tomtom version.

Still have the problem...

Coming from Holland, you would say that I'm anxiously waiting the Dutch ROM. But... I like the WWE ROM better; I love when all programs are in English :D

There's only one thing I would like to change: the Word Completion Dictionarry. I ouwld like it in Dutch, as I still type all my text messages in Dutch :o . There is a cab file for WM6 located on XDA-developers, but it doens't work (at least not on B&B 4.3). So I was wondering if there's a WORKING way to change the language of Word Completion to Dutch. Maybe I can change the language files after you finished the Dutch ROM?

In contacts go to menu/options and mark 'show alphabetic index' only in this view the scrolling works
