That registry key is just to activate the (visual)option in Camera app.

The first cooked rom I've flashed so far is Tom's B&B 4.3. It's amazing, I like it very much. Thanks a lot!

The only issue I'd like to raise is the radio version. It was mentioned earlier in the thread, but it's not cleared yet. The problem in short: after flashing we have ver. 02.94.90, instead of 02.98.90 (indicated in the first post).

My questions:

1. Is it only a wrong label and in fact the rom contains the ver. 02.98.90?

2. If not, and we really have 02.94.90, is it worth to separately flash the 02.98.90 version?

3. Will I ruin my system if I flash it?

I am a bit confused, I installed the patched Homeplugin 2 times, because in the rom integrated Homeplugin cannot download the weather for my city, even after the homeconfig configuration and 2 times has crashed my system. I had to make a hardreset. IMHO this rom is very good, but when I install some custom apps the system will be unstable. I don´t know which app is responsible for this, the custom homeplugin or the Homeconfig application.

Run some other version of USPL tool, I am using meschle´s uspl tool. I had some other version before, and couldn´t boot the spl right. Do not forget to turn on flymode.

It is always good to run USPL, you will be sure, you can flash your new rom without any problems. What change? You have more space in rom for your apps, you have many tools already integrated in the rom. When you hardreset, you must not install the main tools to device. A mi me paso lo mismo, tienes que hacer un hart reset primero o borrar la memoria del dispositivo,despues pasa el Artemis USPL.ZIP (Importantisimo) y luego la nueva version Tom_V4.3.1_ESN,que por cierto va de lujo,Saludos

It has some little translation bugs, so I tried to correct them modifying .mui files and just replacing/overwriting them in win folder, but after that apps don't work properly: missing strings and unresponsive buttons. Restoring original files didn't solve the problem so I had to HR.
Does anybody know why?

thanks mattan, but i'm a noob. with wm5 i could just select the function to run in in settings. i want to have 'new sms' as one of the buttons, but no idea where to find the file/link to do this.
in htc action screen, new sms it doesn't bring up the option of names n numbers in relation to the letters you type, you just put the name in. i'd prefer to have selections of contacts as i type. help please, many thanks

The result was succesful upgrade of my MDA Compact III with B&B 4.3 rom.


For polish users:
Those MDA devices sold in ERA are already cim unlocked, so do not hesitate/be afraid to upgrade that old WM5 to this soft. It works great!!!

- Album application. Left bottom menu, 'Mostrar presentación' doesn´t fit. If you change it to 'Ver presentación' it could fit inside
- Album Application at the right-bottom 'Menu'. At the beginning, the last two options were 'Opciones' and 'Opciones'. Now are 'Opciones' and ' ', that is, void.
- This is somewhat more complex. Assign a picture to a contact with album. Add this contact to the favourites Contants (HTC Home). Now with Album change the picture assigned to that contact. You can see that picture is not properly updated at Favourites of HTC Home.

I've found more errors with contacts that lead to a system error, but I'm not able to reproduce them. Even if I am able to reproduce them, I'm not sure that Tom could do anything to correct them.

Change the registry... wait a couple of minutes and then softreset. Most of the time the problem is a to fast soft reset

Thx for the suggestion, but 3 hours later and it doesn't save registry settings :confused:

I've tried to export that registry chain, associate to regedit and to put the .reg file on startup folder. It works, but it is not automatic because keep asking if I am sure to import, it's ok, etc.

Do you use TomTom v6? I put a trial copy on my Artemis and had the same happen. I think I also remember reading something about it in a thread on here somewhere, but I can't recall if there was a fix or not.

J'ai eu le même problème: en lançant le cab M650 + kulbutor, ça ne fonctionnait plus. Après désinstallation du patch kulbutor, tout a refonctionné

Have look in the 2577 folder on your storage card (assuming that's where you have TomTom installed and assuming the same folder exists in TomTom v6). You should find one or more files named 'autorun...' something. Rename these and you should be OK

Hello Tom et tout le monde !

Félicitations pour cette ROM....vraiment excellente !
Rien à redire, tout fonctionne super bien depuis 2 jours.
Bluetouth, Tomtom, le wap sur SFR, le cube...tout fonctionne..du pure bonheur !

Pour ce qui est de l'installation, j'ai aussi eu le problème "error 270"..après une reprise de tous les posts, je suis passé par l'USPL et ça a fonctionné.

Bravo pour l'espace mémoire restant, c'est bluffant ! après l'installation d'autres programmes à moi + Tomtom, il me reste au moins 33 Mo de disponible alors qu'avec la dernière ROM officiel wm6 de chez HTC, j'étais à 8 Mo !!!

Les programmes sont super fluide, se lancent très rapidement.
Le cube fonctionne vraiment très bien.
C'est génial, j'ai l'impression d'avoir changé de téléphone !
Encore merci à Tom et tout ceux qui l'aide à faire avancé les choses.
Je suivrais ce post, si je peux répondre à certains problème, cela sera volontiers.

Just tried to migrate from AJEs 1.9Full version to TOM BB 4.3 in english. All runs well, but I still get AJE 1.9 splash screen when booting, then it says its BB 4.2. And all the features seem also to be 4.2. I am missing in particular the larger keyboard loyout 20. Any have an idea?

I solved the problem in B&B 4.3.1 ITA replacing some windows DLL by Resco Explorer.
Once replaced the files, soft reset
then reactivate this devices by fdcsoft task Manager answering yes to security questions:
COM3, GPD0

Hello folks, anyone has achieved to synchronize M650 (BB 4.3 French) with Activesync (4.5) on PC XP? I get to the point where the M650 sees my PC in the blue tooth connection menue, i enter the code on phone and on the pc, but then I have only 4 options: connect phone as 1)stereoheadset, 2) serial port, 3) headset, 4)network. I am missing the option of activesync. :confused:

So I tried serial port 6 (only option was 6 and 7) on the M650. Then I went to my activesync on the PC and tried to authorize port 6, but to my surprise for the activesync bluetooth connection only COM4 is made available, and no choice to change it. :mad:

Bottom line, I never got a connection of active sync vie blue tooth. Thanks for your experience.

The soft is on my phone, but when I want to type sms for example, I type on letters with my fingers, the cursor moves on the screen but no letters appears...any solutions ?

First of all icant put PCM like the custom manager of my contacts :s i've installed the last version ( 0.15 ) and put PCM in the option field of the rom

second i'm in belgium , i have base , i have a little problem , when i want to go to the internet with wifi sometimes i have a problem message and then it's put in dutch : Schielben .. they tell me thats it's a problem about my GPRS :s but i dont want to use it :s :s

i have an other problem using S2U2 , i cant use it and listen to the music .. i guess it's not a problem from the rom but from S2U2 ;)

Tom, congratulations again to your excellent 4.3. I use it extensively and its really stable. My dream is to be able to operate my mobile phone really without the use of the pen, just with fingers. The new keyboard makes this already very much a reality. However one of the things I often have to do is CLOSE an application by tapping the X in the top right screen.

Maybe its because I have thick fingers, but the reality is that the X in my view is much too small for a sinmple finger operation. Any thoughts on how to close an application without having to pill out constantly the pen?
- hotkey definition (but you lose a hotkey)
- small program to have a larger X (do you know if someone has done something like this already?)

I solved this problem with a very small but smart application, VJOkButt (thanks to the author).
Copy the exe in a directory you choose, create a shortcut in \windows\start menu\programs and assign to the hardware key OK.
No more need to use stylus and the X.

The only possibility is to go every time in touch pad and remove T9 , but i use the normal pad or the " reconaissance de lettre " ( sorry i dont know how we say it in english lol ) so every time i need to go in the touch pad remove the T9 and then start typing my message

But the problem is that when i use msn its borring to do it for every message , so can i remove the T9 .. ?

Je souhaiterai retrouver cependant certaines fonctionnalité de la Rom de Tom.
Comment changer l'apparence de la batterie pour avoir celle visible sur la photo ci-dessus, à savoir, une batterie sans barres à l'intérieur, avec le pourcentage dessus et qui change de couleur en fonction de son niveau?

when i was using the o2 orbit original rom on my Orbit, in the 'to:' field in sms whenever i used to type an initial of any name it used to give me all the names starting with that alphabet with the phone number but in this rom it doesnt, instead it jus suggests me some words starting with that alphabet
can any1 get me that feature in the rom it wud be really gr8

Hi! This release is quite stable for me, in spite of the obnoxious memory leaks, but there's something strange. I'm using the contacts with the new side search bar. It works great. But sometimes, it disappears and only comes back when I soft reset.

It's not a great problem but I report it in case it could be fixed for 4.4.

I come back to B&B 4.3, but this time, I stay on it.
Last time I had 2 problems:
GPS and Acrobat problem, but I solved it.

-GPS:
For People who are using SPV M650, GPS is possible to use on this rom, even with a-gps.
on the begining, after having flashed your mobile, go to progam, outils système, and click on SPV AGPS ON.
The first time, if you use Tomtom, you'll see problems with the parmeters of the GPS Radio.
go to paramètres/système/GPS externe and change all the parameter. Restart TT and change the GPS parameter. If you see a difference, go back to paramètres/système/GPS externe and put the right parameters, restart again tomtom and put the right parameters, tomtom is now working moreover, with a-gps :p

-Arcobat Reader 2.0.
For acrobat, don't use the french version, it freezes after trying to open a pdf file...
Use AR english version ;)
Tom do you know why? AR problem, or B&B problem of incompatibility?

I know he is working on other Rom as htc trinity but we prepare a surprise even when I am sure that he shall more tom, he likes it .. :D

Hi,
I have a problem with BatteryStatus plug-in.
I decided to move the "Task" icon upper than the "Lock device" icon.
Since this moment, my BatteryStatus plug-in as lost ligns.
I checked the parameters, all is ok, but the plug-in displays only the Battery percentage and the processor frequency.
The temperature, level of memory... doesn't exist anymore :(

Do somebody has an idea?

J'ai un problem avec le plug-in BatteryStatus.
J'ai décidé de mettre l'icône de Vérouillage en dessous de l'icône de Tâches, Depuis ce moment, bon nombre d'éléments du plug-in BatteryStatus ont disparu.
Il ne me reste plus que les indications de niveau de batterie et de fréquence de processeur.
J'ai regardé les options du plug-in, tout est toujours bien coché, mais je n'ai plus la température, les status des mémoires...

Avez-vous une idée pour m'aider?

I'm using the french version and i LOVE it. But i have an issue with the Touch like keyboard and keypad... when i try to select Keypad it always shows the keyboard no matter what software i'm running... does anyone has this problem also ?

when i installed that diasblexT9.cab mine dissapeared but thats what i wanted it to do so i was happy! have you installed that? if so thats maybe why!

I am new here and not so good in all this! But I made it to install the new rom for GER on my XDA Orbit. As I see it all works....only my Tom Tom! I am now trying hours to find a place were it´s writtin how to reinstall in on my PPC....but I can´t find it....maybe you can write it real quite you post were I can find it!
