Thanks again Tom! I just donated a little help :) Your ROMs are getting better and better!

One question: with 4.1 and 4.2 I noticed some memory leaks, ie the available program memory with no tasks running was decreasing slowly over time. After a couple of days there was much less available memory. Of course, I close all tasks properly, run hibernat etc... but only a soft reset brings the memory back.

I don't know if the problem is the original WM6 system, your cooked ROM or any particular apps such as PCMKeyboard whichis running all the time. But I have read other reports about memory leaks so I'm not alone.

Have you noticed this, and is it fixed in 4.3?

this is a great idea saves time locking and unlocking and looks cool.

The only problem is with the last rom and this one I have problems.

Is there anyway you can heave a llok at this and see if you can get a version in the rom or as a cab file.

Thanks Tom, that was a very nice surprise this morning. I have been testing the rom for a couple of hours now and I can't find anything wrong, so thank you.
If anyone is interested I have tried my 4gb sdhc card and it was not recognised.
One more point I am tying the latest version of sprite backup at the moment and it has a feature to perform a restore after a rom upgrade, so I tried it and it appears to have worked all the new stuff is there and all my old stuff is there, but I'm not convinced it's gone quite right, has anyone else tried it? And what sort of times are people getting to open their windows folders?

The Animated splash screen still refers to B&B v4.2

Run other programs,maybe File Explorer and kick to icon (1) now u will see page pbar setting,to continue kick to (2) it will add File explorer in Favorites list :)

Yes.In Search tabs not have support scroll.If want Contact Scroll use my Rom setting tool.To change it :)

Since I'm glad with my official French HTC WM6.0, I'd be happy to have the HTC Home Plugin (couldn't find one that is fully working), the CommManager (without the background) and the screen on which there is "New SMS, New MMS, ..." (HTC Action Screen).

I'm also looking for a nice Dialpad skin with the text in another coulor than the green that I could find here and there.

Anyone could help?

talking about PCM Keyboard.
I can't make it to work in notes.. even in onenote
It acts like it is writing (tooltip is showing containing the letters i type)
but i see nothng on the screen.
This only works once if i change the keyboard to something else and then return to PCM.
If i close the program (notes) and reopen it i have the same reaction.

I trying to figure out what is the problem TOMs 4.3 or PCM..

nothing - all favourites, OVIs etc. are stored in the same folder as your map-data (ergo: on your memory-card)

You only have to remember your settings - this shouldn't be too hard, is it?

Animation is easy just rename one of the gifs to animated.gif (this is the usual name please correct me if it's not the case with this ROM)
welcomehead should be renamed welcomehead.96.png and both files should then be placed in your windows folder.

If you want the full effect you also need to change the boot image with the one in this post.

the reason for this is because some programs like to reboot your system or temporarily disable usb or whatever.... and if that happens during the update your mobile device is cake.

just close all windows and you should be good. if something is upgrading itself (windows, or anti virus or whatever), wait until that is finished.

I installed it yesterday and it is fantastic - even compared to B&B 4.1.

A few minor things:
I searched all reg-hacks for it but could not find anything:
how to get rid of that ANNOYING BEEP when changing the volume?

EDIT: Sorry - found out myself: Settings/Sounds & Notifications: uncheck "Events"
(I was irritated, because the clicking-sound of the start-menu was off all the time, and I thought this is related to this setting)

Background of HTC Home is too dark - ok, the name is Black&Blue, but I like my wallpapers.

Cleartype in Landscape Mode is off (in 4.1 it was on)

No presto for me. Ive seen the file but when i put it on my storagecard and press it or import it directly via resco registry explorer, it says its an invalid regfile. No changes are made so it still doesnt work.

It seems its a problem related to the (newer) higher AKU's?

PIMBackUp2.5 SMS-Restore does not work for me :-( (it works fine in 4.1)
I upgraded my Artemis from B&B 4.1 to 4.3 - Contacts, Tasks, Appointments are no problem (Restored with ActiveSync) BUT

SMS/MMS and Speed Dials do NOT work.

This is essential for me - so I think I get back to 4.1 and restore.

I flashed the old Software again and reststored - works fine!
I back-uped again without compression - flashed 4.3 again - after restore: SMS missing still, speed dials still missing -

What is the difference of the SMS settings of 4.1 and 4.3? Different Location - where are the SMS stored? Is there any other way I could restore them?

Apologies if this has already been covered. I have updated from B&B 4.1 and now when I start entering names in the "to" box the names are no longer "searched for" Instead I get a "word typing" box near the keypad.

Can someone tell me if there is a setting I need to change?

Maybe I'm stupid (this is the first time I flashed one of Tom's great ROMs because I only recently decided to risk playing with my phone again after problems a few months ago) but how to I activate the touchFlo from the home screen?

On my brother's HTC Touch I just have to flick my thumb up from the middle of the screen but that doesn't seem to work with this ROM, and I can't see anywhere obvious from where I can launch it...

Oh also, it would be nice if BatteryStatus didn't default to 247Mhz overclocking since not everyone needs that :)

you can choose how to activate the cube from start-programs-pda settings-tf setting
for the overclock, you can change parmaters in batterystatus. Keep the stylet on the icon and the menu will pop up

Thanks Nicky - I knew how to disable the overclock but thought it was strange that it defaulted to being overclocked. The only reason I even mentioned it was that I had lots of problems with BatteryStatus on my first O2 Orbit and eventually had to get another one (even though I only ever overclocked to 247).

Buth now im confused when i have to flash the rom himself then ? Must i flash the rom straight after USPL is installed on my device ? Thnx again

No presto for me. Ive seen the file but when i put it on my storagecard and press it or import it directly via resco registry explorer, it says its an invalid regfile. No changes are made so it still doesnt work.

It seems its a problem related to the (newer) higher AKU's?

USPL flash changed my uspl to 1.11.... , my USPL before was 1.13... from T-mobile SK. And the 1.11.... is still there. But I always use before rom flashing the uspl flash program. just to be sure...

I have noticed a strange behavior of the amount of free memory, if i reset the device i get 24,5 MB free, after connecting the USB and activesync the memory goes bellow 18MB.
Any bory has the same problem, or i have something strenge on my Activesync?

My first try for install uspl whas scarry :( . Is it normal when the screen becomes white that the activesync connection get lost ? Because here on my vista 32bits it happens. So when i whant to update the uspl he give update error because he can not find my device. Anyone now a solution for this ? Thnx

Ok the zip posted contains 3 files.
Two variations of the start up animation and the welcomehead image.

Animation is easy just rename one of the gifs to animated.gif (this is the usual name please correct me if it's not the case with this ROM)
welcomehead should be renamed welcomehead.96.png and both files should then be placed in your windows folder.

If you want the full effect you also need to change the boot image with the one in this post.

just edit the "[HKLM\system\currentcontrolset\control\layouts\e001 0409]

Ime File : \windows\xt9ime.dll change to Ime File :\windows\compime.dll

Layout Text : XT9 IME change to Layout Text : COMP IME" and reboot

Not sure, just from my memories, but you should try to change HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Showtitlebarclock from 0 to 1...;) Then soft reset.

You must copy this file in the pocketpc device, not throught the activesync, uncheck system and read only in properties before copying.

Hi Tom, Just got back yesterday from the USA.
The 4.2 Version worked there like a charm, no Problems, the Quad band worked real fast and the Navigon Navigation Software also was stabil.
I just loaded the version 4.3 Ger. Gonna flash that now and give it a go.
Let me know If I can be of any help now that i an back.

This ROM has B&W icons and clock on the HTC home. I have tried to copy new icons or use the HTC home customizer but I cannot change anything. The icons cannot be ovewritten, not even when HTC plugin is off and they are not read only. The are shown as ROM icons. Any suggestions?

I flashed my O2 Orbit from 4.2WWE to 4.3Ger and I have one problem. When I start the Audio Manager over the Today screen and want to choose an album or song to play than the Orbit freeze. I can't do anything as to do a Softreset. I can't play any song over the Manager. Can somebody help me?

This rom is working perfect, but I have trouble with the Touch Flow activation. Sometimes I activate the TF with first move, sometimes is active on 4. move, sometimes even not. It seems I have strange touch feeling in my fingers.:)

Please, can someone give me a hint how to delete the HH_0407_WeatherCities.xml to replace it with my modified one.
I have searched various threads, but nothing worked so far. I disabled the "HTC Home" in today settings. I tried Total Commander. Looking at the properties of the file, TC tells read only (ROM is checked). So is it possible that the weathercities file can not be changed or deleted in this rom at all?
