mohit_kripalu
24th October 2007, 08:00 AM
This file was found in the internet and forget the download link and place.

Tried it on WM6 PPC under WiFi connection, and the screen playback is smooth and good with the FULL video in the websites.

No need to Wait Wait Wait for downloads.

Description:
1. This additional file to TCPMP will create a homepage to open by PPC IE, you can choose the full video in either link like YouTube. You can also direct type in URL of Youtube in IE for video file viewing.

2. When click on the movie clip, a pop-up will have [Play video] , [Save video] and [Linked page] for you to choose.

3. Choose [Play video] will auto open TCPMP and playback the video in streaming mode.

Requirement:
1. TCPMP version 0.72RC1
2. Additional file: FlashVideoBundle.CAB PbWF

Remarks:

When playing video in streaming mode in TCPMP, do not use fast forward key or slide bar in TCPMP. It may halt the playback and freeze the PPC or make the ppc hangup. You can use play, pause , stop or exit functions in TCPMP to control the plackback.

Attached RAR file included:
1. FlashVideoBundle.CAB

If your TCPMP is not the new one, uninstall it then download and install the new version. After TCPMP installed, install the attached [FlashVideoBundle.CAB]. Completed all installation, you need to Soft Reset PPC

Or, if you already installed new version TCPMP, you only need to install the [FlashVideoBundle.CAB] and Soft Reset after installation.

You can find the [FlashVideoBundle.CAB] added a homepage in your program folder.

It's not working for. me :( I re-installed TCPMP onto both main memory and the MicroDisk (And of course extracted the cab in the same location each time). I don't see any new programs in Start -> Programs, even after a soft reset. It looks like two apps are getting added to the TCPMP program folder (EnableVL.exe and DisableVL.exe) as well a VideoLoader.dll. I tried running EnableVL.exe just to see if that would help (I got a confirmation that video loading was enabled). However, flash videos are still no go. I am running the stock ROM on an x7501 (Advantage) with RealVGA at 128 dpi. Any ideas?

I found this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=326225) thread with a 1.2 version of the FlashVideoBundle .cab, and now it works. I'm guessing it was a WM5 vs. WM 6 issue?

(1)(a) Use ActiveSync to transfer the .cab to your device
or
(1)(b) download the cab files directly to your device

then
(2) Simply open the .cab file on your device using the file explorer. It will ask you if you want to run and where you would like to install. It wil take care of the rest.

Probably (I have that plan and it connects fine), but they probably monitor your bandwidth and if you exceed some threshold they will force you to upgrade to the $45 data plan.

What that threshold would be is unclear; supposedly there's a 5GB threshold for the "real" unlimited data plans, so MEdiaNet is probably substantially less than 5GB.

Unfortunately, there's not disclosure of actual policies, and store staff usually don't even understand the issue enough to be helpful.

they cant change the plan without notice right?

they cant change the plan without notice right?

Not as such, no. But they can cancel your service at any point and bill you exhorbitant rates for usage that exceeds their limits. So, for example if you downloaded 20 GB in one month, expect to lose you connection and be billed anywhere up to $100,000 ($0.005/KB x 20,000,000 KB). Will it happen? Probably not, but MEdiaNet isn't meant for real data, just the crappy built-in phone stuff. The problem is they try to set a payscale for data based on the software capabilities of the phone ("this phone has our crappy services, so can't possibly use too much banndwidth") instead of treating all clients as equal participants accessing unregulated data. So "unlimited data" means different things (and costs a different amount) if you use a phone, blackberry, smart phone, pda with a qwerty keyboard, or laptop.

This package works great for me with a Pandora Naked 6 ROM on a Cingular/ATT 8525 using a home Wi-Fi Internet connection. In fact, video streaming is better (faster starts and fewer hesitations) than under Windows XP Media Center Edition SP2 on a computer with AMD Athlon 64x2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ with 2GB of RAM using the same Internet connection. I'm very impressed.

As recommended I tried GSPLAYER but that did not work, if anyone knows what I should try please help. thanks. Below is a list of the sites I'm interested in trying to stream to my phone.

I got this installed, an it works great. Even got it linked to one of my 3-app buttons on my cube. The only think I would like to know is if there is a way to clear the last viewed video in the TCMP? I use ClearTemp to clear the usual stuff, but I don't see anywhere even in windows to clear any temp videos files used by TCMP? The only way I've got it to clear, which was by soft reseting for another app. I was installing.

You can always reinstall TCPMP... That should take care of the history...

This solution (originally from treocentral) works really great for youtube and the is so simple, just click on the video name and the mini menu pops up suggesting to play it but any other site with flash content videos, just tells me I either have javascript turned off or I need to get the latest flash player installed. Has anyone got the same problem?

I'm on a Vario III/Kaiser, TCMP .RC71 and the suggested FLVbundle.

Help!!!

You can only view videos of the sites that show up in the "Video Sites" html page that is located in your Programs menu. The most popular ones work well with my Blue Angel (google video, youtube, megavideo. etc...)

I installed both the flashvideobundle.cab in the OP along with tcmp .81RC1 beta onto the /Storage Card then did a Soft reset but tcmp still gives me the error message "file_name.flv is an Unknown File format". I downloaded the video and saved to storage card.

When I check under "File Associations" in tcmp....the option to associate tcmp with .flv files is not even listed.

what am I missing?

any help is greatly appreciated...

It times out a lot whenever using the 3G/HSDPA connection. Is Cingular/ATT depreferencing YouTube? I wonder if they do it to save bandwidth. Works fine on my wifi connection. Also, m.youtube.com doesn't work, it launches HTC's Streaming Media program but it just sits there. So the only way for us to watch youtube is via TCPMP and the full version of youtube?

Yeah, this thing works great, but I was wondering if whoever created the list of sites...Is it possible to remove those porn sites and just have the clean sites???? I've downloaded a cab file editor to try and remove the adult files, saved it, and reinstalled it on my ppc, but it just doesn't work...

Can anyone do this correctly and have a working cab file MINUS the porn sites????

Thanks. I will truly appreciate it if anyone can edit the porn sites out of the cab file. :)

Simply use File Explorer to browse to ..\Program Files\TCPMP\sites.clean

There is an alternate lnk in there that has only clean sites.

I have been looking for months now on a way to add or remove sites from the list of available sites; following a previous post, most importantly the site "www.surfthechannel.com" needs to be added. Yet, other information would be appreciated...i.e. 1) How to get the bundle to work Opera 9.5, 2) How to get the bundle to play using Coreplayer instead of TCPMP, 3) How to Modify the list of available sites...etc...

I am not sure why the TCPMP + Flashvideobundle is an opensource answer to playing .flv files, but there is such a lack of transparency regarding its implementation?

I must be missing something here...how does this work?

I installed TCPMP and the Flash Video Bundle.
-If I use IE to go to m.youtube.com and click on a video, Windows Media Player opens up and can't play it.
-If I go to the 'Video Sites' link in my Program folder, and then go to Youtube, the webpage looks kinda crappy and there is no search. I clicked on a video anyways and the next webpage says "you either have Javascript turned off or an old version of Adobe Flash Player."

What is going on? Can someone help me to get this working? Thanks.

BTW, I'm using an HTC Touch w/ WM 6.1
