Hi,
Anyone seen/got the new HTC Album program? Ive managed to get the keyboard and randomaccess (contacts upgrade) programs but cant find the album anywhere...
Shame - coz it looks well cool!

Try installing it on Phone Memory instead of Storage.
Fixed it for me and now it's working.

but one question, when using it, do you guys see a white "Box" in the left corner of the screen (i know that when you touch in that box, you see the options for htc album) is it supposed to be like that?
another thing is that the sliding from picture to picture is just slightly difficult to do?
but thatmight just be my device, or maybe I need to setup the sensablility of the app.

XDA Mobile has Touch Flo right?

That's always a risc that i might not stick to all devices because of incompatible DLL's in the rom. And the Wizard is pretty patched up as it is running TouchFlo and WM6. I think it will be different when the files get cooked. BTW what a good idea i'm going to try it on my Wizard WM5SE (my favourite best Wizard Rom)

does the TNT version have finger scrolling? if it has you don't need to flash the Touch version of TNT
I think all TNT versions have fingerscrolling. I put it in all the prophet TNT versions but can't remember if its right did that for wizard

I flashed with TNT Touch version (radio not working now, even after fix CAB). Installed the HTC Album and still nothing!!!!

Could someone be so kind to let me know what ROM matches this program that is a stable ROM????

seems like it's not your rom that causes the problem, it's the camera app, only with camera 4.1 you'll be albe to run HTC Camera Album

I have tried with camera 4.11 and it makes no differance on prophet and that would be bad news for wizard because htc camera 4.11 will not work on wizard
wizard uses ov9560.dll for camera and camera 4.11 uses s5k3bafx.dll same as prophet and all the other devices that camaera album is working on.
but I will probable make it work somehow... I got the camera 4.11 working on prophet but it drains the battery.

I cooked the album into a p4350 nor rom, and its running great and smoothly..
Currently translating the app to norwegian so that It will match up to my nor personal rom :)

If you extract the cab file and look at the 2 xml files, you'll notice whoever created this cab failed to capture all the bitmaps. That's why you're not seeing text on the buttons. Look at the section that contains the below information:

photoview_send
photoview_contact
photoview_back
photoview_slideshow
photoview_delete
photoview_property

You need to find your Locale Number.

WWE is 0409.
Then change this number in the HTCAlbum.exe.0409.mui with your Locale Number. Maybe that will help.

I'd like so muck like many others to be able to set the directory where HTC Album is getting the images. When you look in the HTC Album.exe file with an hex editor, you can find something looking like the possible options :

-type:image
-type:video
-mode:camera
-directory:

The first 2 options are for playing photos or videos. The 3rd to set the orientation.
I've tried plenty of combinations for the last option but unfortunatly, nothing did right. I post this in case someone would have a great idea and would make this option work.

Prueba a cambiar el nombre por "HTCAlbum.exe.040a.mui". A mi me ha funcionado en mi Touch de Vodafone. Lo que no he conseguido es que salga en Español, solo sale en inglés.
Respecto a hacer scrolling, esta aplicación no permite usar el scrolling de la Touch. Para ver las fotos presiona una foto y arrástrala hacia arriba o hacia abajo; así irán apareciendo el resto de fotos en pantalla.

The album is most probaply looking atthe defaultSave Pictures location for the Camera App which in most Touch Cases would be \Storage Card\DCIM\100Media. But i've also seen it4 scann my entire Storage Card once.

Hi,
although I am as well exited that a program like the HTC Album exists it looks to me like there are still a looot of problems to be fixed.
My own experience:
- installation = no problem
- finding pics as well as setting either Landscape or Portrait Mode also no problem in the English Version
- Slideshow = perfect
- manual scrolling = frequently a problem as this extra frame (which is supposed to show yu the Position in the picture when zooming) is showing up unwanted and doesn't go away again..resp when it dissapeaars and yu touch the screen again it re-appears and once it is present one cant scroll or zoom aso = everything just stops!
- if one manages to zoom in and wants to zoom out again (double tap; to my knowledge) - nothing happens...only chance to get back is if one gets the Main Menue to pop up or one closes down the whole Program
I am using a Touch....and wud be glad if someone cud tell me what I am doing wrong...resp keep working on the Program to make it work the way it is supposed to be.
Hope this wasn't too long winded...just wanted to share some thoughts!

Anyone able to create a "signed" version of HTC Album. I believe WM5 would be capable of running the app if it was "signed," I can get it to install, just can't get it to run. As it is I've downloaded this program about 15 - 20 times, and seem to be getting the same 2 - 4 different versions, all of which have not been signed and thus will not run.

This works pretty well on the 6800 / titan.. however when it starts it is on the wrong side... let me explain. The titan slides one way, and when it is slid out, the camera album is upside down when compared to all other landscape modes on the titan.

Is there any way to modify that? I got the portrait mode app working, should I try and modify that some?

Is your touch a NL version ? Then you have to install the NL version from HTC Album, see attachment below ;)
