I wish OEMs start making non-rubberized replacement covers. If we cried out loud that Black Trinity's Batt Cover is a fingerprints trap, Kaiser's original cover is a dirt trap and every new casual touch adds to it's sorry look.

The only solution I found yet is BodyGuardz rear transparent part..

BTW rubberized does not and should not mean doing it poorly. My IBM Thinkpad cover follows the same concept, but is much tougher to both touch and scratch..

Any ideas ?

I just called HTC America to see if I could get a spare back cover for my TyTN II. Well, they don't carry that part because "it's not a US model". OK, I then ask for a back cover for the Tilt and she responds "We don't carry parts for OEM branded HTC devices". So I replied, "Great, why do you exist?" She replied "we carry very few parts". What a great company. So it's off to AT&T? I'm not thinking I'll get much love there...

So, I am now very interested in finding a source for the back cover that will ship to the USA.

yeh

cnn has the largest range of spare part, and is one of the most reliable online stores, just send them an email, and they will try to get the items in as quick as possible.

So any new regarding this? :) I'd be interested to know! And there are other threads showing how to "dismantle" the kaiser, we could do some Tutorial on how to proceed :)

It may be worth waiting for the mega capacity batteries that are too big to fit in the usual battery space. They usually come with a new extended cover.
That way you could kill two birds with one stone - better battery capacity and a free replacement battery cover.

If i could get my hands on a battery cover with no camera hole, i would do a dismanteling tutorial.

My phone fell and the little plastic cover on top of the camera broke. Tried to fix it but doesn't look nice. I just found a back door (special order), hopefully it will arrive in like 2 weeks not 2 months.

Sorry champ but I completely disagree. I LOVE the RUBBER battery door.

It's easy to grip, doesnt slide all around on the table or counter / desk, and i've dropped mine about a dozen or more times with no consequences.

THe funny thing is they do not sell if you say that you have the HTC branded version. They will only sell to AT&t versions....

Does anyone know of a way to get a replacement lens cover?? I can't believe they used cheap plastic for the cover.

When I take the back cover off I great pretty crisp pictures but the lens cover is so hosed up I get fuzzy pictures if I leave the back cover on.

I am tempted to just knock out the plastic lens cover but am worried about getting dirt and such inside the phone.

Thoughts anyone?

Called them up and got it in a few days. Comes with the rubber GPS covering. I think it's a little thinner than the one that originally came in the box too. Thanks for the contact number.

I dialed this number and get the message that the number has been discontinued.

Any ideas why? A new number perhaps? A website? Anyone?

im looking for one too, but a cover for the tilt with no camera.
Did you manage to get one with no camera because I am looking for one as they do not let my phone in at work due to the camera.
They were fine with me getting a cover so camera cannot be used though I have not told them about a camera lens on the front;)
