Advanced Configuration Tool and HTC Home Customiser works very well in this rom. Tested and still running on my Touch, and it is not the problem with the rom. Review what other apps you installed or registry tweaks you made which may cause the conflicts. Otherwise do a hard reset or re-flash the rom. Cheers.

The problem you describe in the post doesn't occur to me even in V2.10. It's never a issue before. I believe V3.02 have fixed all the problems reported here. Conflicts with 3rd party software are beyond me...:D

It's abit difficult to tell from the IPL and SPL with so many variants of Touch coming out from HTC nowadays. Maybe you can tell us more about your device and what is it called (by HTC at least) and the RAM and ROM size.

Any of these names, Touch Enhanced, Touch Nike, Touch Vogue, Sprint Touch, Touch Dual, Touch Cruise, Polaris sounds familiar to you?

If you are using the HTC Wizard, go to the Wizard Upgrading Forum HERE (http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=&f=289). It should have alot of great roms there for you to use. :D

That battery icon belongs to Quick Menu. Go into the Quick Menu's settings and options to disable it. Cheers.

My ActiveSynch via BT works as fine on Blue ROm as it did on the original ROM. You may want to check for conflicting software.

Hey buzzzer,

Yes, all your contacts, appointments, apps, etc you installed will be gone. Basically, during a rom update, your device is formatted. Your SD card is left untouched though.

I suggest you backed your contacts and PIM first before you upgrade your rom. You can use the "PPCPIMBackup" apps from HERE (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1189061&postcount=1) to do so. After you upgrade your rom, restore your contacts and PIM and you are back in business. Cheers.

everything seems to work perfectly only one grip if you know what it is..

its happened twice for somereason,

an error message pops up saying something like shell error, i click ok the phone soft resets..

only extra things i added was the HHC and battery status.

apart from that everythings great

If you're normally using Outlook (or so) to sync your contacts/agenda etc, be carefull with using other backup progs.

If you Flash your ROM, then restore the PIM backup, and THEN sync with outlook, you'll have everything double in your PDA...

happend to me a few times, and is a time consuming effort...

@chrissmit: I usually use spb backup to backup all but I don't want to have problem with the restore because I haven't other way to restore the information, so I want to be sure that it's safe before doing it.

Hey Ninja,

HHC is totally compatible and shouldn't cause any problem. I am afraid battery status is the cause of your problem or you got a bad flashing (sometimes it do happen). Certain beta versions of battery status may be problematic. Uninstall it and see whether the error go away. If it does go away, try another version of battery status. If it still did not go away, I afraid that you should do a re-flash. Cheers.

Hey Madana... you can install the emunutz's HTC Home Customiser (HHC) and it allows you to change the clocks, backgrounds and Home icons to whatever you like.

Hi Everybody... been a few since I logged on and wanted to tell Swiftblade went in and changed all my settings and they have stayed. No elves apparently changing anything to this date.

Still have a wee bit of a problem with the bluetooth, but ya know like I said the toggle switch works. The one I mostly use is the Jabra 250 and with the switch works with Voice Commander, music and the phone. Does seem to disconnect at times and other times no (when not using toggle switc). EHH in the scheme of things I am delighted.

Love the Rom all is fine and working. Thanks again. Anything new that you are working on? Sometimes I think I should just be happy, I don't have to sit for hours figuring it all out, all is working and I want to beat myself up by having a new Rom when this one has few bugs. HA HA HA Gotta love technology. Still looking for the Elfin. Not here in the states yet? I don't think. I keep looking.

Guys, this was mentioned near the start of this thread, but never solved:

The HTC Home Plugin background is blank. No amount of "HTC home customisation", reinstalling various versions of the plugin, or fiddling with the windows directory is solving this.

Does anyone have any ideas on where this is set and how to fix it for this ROM - which is otherwise a perfect base for the touch.

Well, I am actually working on incorporating new .NETCF V3.5 in the new ROM update. It's reported that this version 3.5 can improve the performance of the device by 30~40%...:D

Well, I am actually working on incorporating new .NETCF V3.5 in the new ROM update. It's reported that this version 3.5 can improve the performance of the device by 30~40%...:D

I have been using 3.02 since it was published.

No issues so far, it is stable and fast enough, I have stopped using the Battery Status overclocking functions. 200 MHz seems to be sufficient for everything.

I'll stick to it for some time now.

This has changed in the new 2.20 WWE ROM. If you just click, it dials the number straight away. If you press and hold, it will give you the old 3 options... Cheers.

Your contacts in the SIM is intact. It's just not showing. Go to Advanced Config Tool to set it to show.

You should be using the Blue Touch ROM V3.02.

Sorry, this is WWE English only. For German rom, you may look at Bram_Smulders's Touch Dual V2.52.

I did that. It's empty. The only reasons I can think of is the unsuccessful first flashing that somehow erased the SIM contacts or the "network wizard" I ran after flashing... Anyway I can solve the problem as I have a backup of my SIM info.

First, Swiftblade - love these roms, just updated to 3.21 and all seems well, no faults in the first hour - everything i need seems to be there.

The schedule reset is a nice idea, i do see my memory drop over a period of time, and being able to set it to restart at 6am each morning without having to do it myself would be icing on the cake.

I've not come across anything that can do that though, have I missed a program somewhere ?

OMG, I have found a major bug in 3.21. SMS sent items are deleted each time I do a soft reset. I don't know about u guys. Anyway, reverting back to 3.02.

In the grand tradition of answering my own questions.. I did a hard reset and re set up my mail - no problems this time. Ive noticed a few times with custom roms hey seem to have a glitch until you do a hard reset, then problems are gone. On the other hand I havent opted to move mail over to my storage card this time so maybe thats it..

The Voice Speed Dial was removed from this rom. You re-installed it and which one if you need? Of course there is always this possiblilty of compatible issues.. Let deal with it one at a time...

This today theme is included in the rom. Go Start-->Settings-->Today-->Select "Black Waterdops"-->Click "OK" and it's done!

Frankly speaking I have not used ZoomSMS before. You want to tell me how it is started in ETEN500? I will take a closer at the files though...

I don't seems to have any problems with BT in this new rom. If my memory serves me right, the cab will installed two voice diallers, one each in the "Programs" ans "Settings". Cyberon Voice Speed Dialler is at the "Programs" which you should be using..... Again I may be wrong..:)

Just a report (not important) there seems to be 2 copy of psshut :)


BTW, is there a serious memory leak? I am not sure yet as I have only used it for less than a day. Memory available on reset is about 20MB. After an hour of fiffling around with it, I am left with only 16MB, even after when I used memory reclaim tools.

And it seems to get less over time. It might just be me .... :p

Still trying to figure it out. Overall ... a great ROM. Just need to find out what is eating up the memory.

alamak, so the scenarios.exe is because of this, there is this icon on the
tray icon when click show "scenarios" missing - end up I hard reset and to
put back my apps one by one.

Hi starlite... if you are using HTC Album, that's the killer. It will claims somthing between 3~5Mb memory space and "refuses" to release it after closing. Only way to reclaim back those memory is to soft reset.

One more is the Touch Dual Keyboard+Keypad. This keyboard is really meant for those devices with 128Mb RAM like the Touch Dual and Touch Enhanced. Another culprit is batterystatus if you are using one. Cheers

No, I never get EDGE before, always GPRS. BTW I only use GPRS for SMS only and occasionally for weather update. I didn't set up network at all. Cheers.

Hi silensius... it would be more helpful if you are more specific. What midlet applets have you tried to install and what is the actual "error messages" that appeared during the installation. Such vague remarks are not helpful at all.

I think you cab helps because the rom has a missing file "scenarios.exe". Thank for the feedback anyway.

BTW you wanted the original digital clock. The graphics are attached below. Just copy them to the Windows directory and replace the files, do a reset and it should works. Cheers..

Indeed the DRM module has been removed from the ROM. Try installing the attached DRM_Fix.CAB, do a soft reset and see whether it works for you. Cheers

Yes, simply use RegEdit to delete this registry key in red:

I'm trying to install this ROM since I read that a lot of people is happy with it, but i have a strange problem. I'm doing all the steps correctly, but no matter how I try, i always end in the same 260 Error.

This is what i have done/do:

1.- I installed the Cert_SPCS.CAB and EnableRapi.CAB from the Zip file in the main memory of my touch. It worked fine.

2.- After reboot, I run the Start batch file, and everything goes smoothly until the white screen comes. Then the Windows New Hardware Wizard pops up trying to identify the "New USB hardware found" and then the install process stops with the message that there is no active connection.

3.- I tried to run manually ROMUpdateUtility.exe. It works, but after the device disconnects and connects (when the tri color screen appears), it gives me the error 260. Also, the new hardware wizard comes again :(

I have tried to reset the computer and the device several times, since i have read that maybe this does not work at the first time and reset may be required.

I think that the problem is that the USB connection is not able to start again after the update utility disconnects it. Even the sound that the computer does when i connect an usb device is different, more like two similar sounds.
I have tried all my usb ports, different cables...

Until now i have all my data intact, so i'm not afraid of keep trying, but i'd like to know what are your thoughts on this.

Im running XP64 btw.

You have to remove the micro SD card and hard reset the device before flashing any rom.

Hi Zumbao... from what you have described, you have done the installation process correctly. The two similar notification sounds you heard is also normal and it should follow by one more when the screen turns blank white.

It seems that the process was going well till it was disrupted by the new hardware wizard trying to install the new USB device. Don't fret, nothing to worry about. The part where it try to give te device a SuperCID (screen turns white part) is hypersenitive and any interruption at all will cause it to fail.

This is what I suggest you should do:

1: Start everything from fresh - restart you computer and ypur device. Wait until all the initialization processes have been completed.
2. Turn off anti-virus software on your computer if you can.
3. Now Activesync your device to the computer by plugging in the USB port.
(Important: Wait till all the synchronisation is completed before your proceed further).
4. Double-click [START] batch file from the unzipped folder and follow the instructions on your computer screen as before, accepting after each stage.
5. After Step 2/3, your device screen should turns blank white (otherwise the installation process has failed).
6. Hit [ENTER] and if the rom updating goes beyond 3% with errors then you have DONE IT!

If you have errors, repeat the process a few more times till you succeed. Good Luck!

Hi baadsha... this is for the standard elf so don't worry. If you wish to restore back to its original state, then just add back that registry key and do a soft rest. Cheers

It's not advisable to remove the mircoSD card when flashing this rom V3.21because I have change some file locations to the SD card. The SD card should be in the device when flashing V3.21. Remove it only when you encounter problem during flashing.

I have been playing around with the htc touch for about a week now, changing settings and flashing different ROMs. I must say this is the best ROM that I have come across. I have a few things I would like to change though. I have flashed the new V3.21 ROM:

1) When I recieve a SMS from a contact that has a picture associated with it. I can't see the picture. I just get a notification containing the senders name and the message contents. On other ROMs the picture was displayed on the right hand side of the slide up notification. I don't have zoomsms enabled. How can I get the picture back?

2) When I press the red call end button I always get a beep. Can I disable this? Beeping buttons drive me crazy ;)

3) Is there a way I can create a profile that just vibrates for calls, sms, mms etc. but still makes a sound for an alarm? I like to put my mobile on vibrate while I sleep, but still want to use it as my alarm clock.

I have done all the steps with a lot of care, but the problem is always the same. The activesync connection does not seem to restore after the white screen appears, so the 260 Error keeps coming :(

Mine starts with about 20MB and stabilises around 13MB at the end of the day.

I've even stop my battery status. Which only saves less than 1 MB.

Hi trulymic... yes that should be what you are getting.. The 58Mb+ I put in the title was an estimate because my Touch XL is showwing 173Mb... haha :D :D Cheers..

It really depends on your usage. I usually get 16~18Mb when I was using the Touch but of course my normal involves some phone calls, SMSes and abit of internet surfing. Cheers..

Hi trukito.... pardon me for saying. I think you are abit confused. My advice is to stick to one method whether it is using andrewloh's bootloader method or use the integrated rom updater in the zip folder... I last thing (very important), you need some patience. Sometimes it need to be repeated a few times before you finally succeed. Good Luck!

I've just bought a A2DP BT headset (SE HBH-D200). When I listen to music using Audio Manager, the song pauses a bit every few seconds. But when I use TCPMP, this does not happen. Anybody know what's the cause?

Hi iceggy.... the device locking and internet browsing with WIFI work without any problems in my Touch XL. But I do recall I had similar problems you described here sometimes back when I was experimenting with overclocking the device using Batterystatus to see how high it could go. You may want to lower your overclocking speed a notch or two and see the whether the problems go away. Cheers

I've just bought a A2DP BT headset (SE HBH-D200). When I listen to music using Audio Manager, the song pauses a bit every few seconds. But when I use TCPMP, this does not happen. Anybody know what's the cause?

Hey boybi... I saw in some website a registry edit that increase the BT A2DP sampling rate. I think that might help.. Problem now is where did I see it... (thinking.... still thinking... :))

Hi trukito.... pardon me for saying. I think you are abit confused. My advice is to stick to one method whether it is using andrewloh's bootloader method or use the integrated rom updater in the zip folder... I last thing (very important), you need some patience. Sometimes it need to be repeated a few times before you finally succeed. Good Luck!

If you want to flash using the bootloader (tri-colors), then you have to use andrewloh's method using SD card flashing. Go back to his thread link and follow the instruction over there.

I noticed the auto-poweroff is not working?
I can live with its but just want to double check.

I set the backlight to 1 min, and it dims after that. The default poweroff is 2 mins. But my touch always stays in the "dim mode". Any ideas?

I only have one question: does N2A patch (regarding weather) still works on this V3.21 Rom? (as posted on page 77: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1681443&postcount=769

The thing is that my city is showing wrong temperature numbers (very wrong, in fact) and I discovered that the values in HH_0409_WeatherCities are not accurate (city name: "Santa Fe de Bogota", it should be just "Bogota", and the specific numbers "011" instead of "000". I tried Regedit according to the values I found in Accuweather.com but it keeps reverting to its original (or simply states that is unable to retrieve data). I've used N2A patch in my original Rom.

I am using V3.02 BLUE TOUCH ROM CE OS 5.2.1921 (BUILD 18521) AKU 0.7.0
(BIG STORAGE: 58.17MB) (4MB PAGEPOOL) and when the names are listed on the Smart Dialing window, I noticed the last digit is missing.
The format number I am using is +xx (xx) xxxx-xxxx.
My reginal settings are set to Brazil and I have tried several options on HKCU/ControlPanel/Phone/CallIDMatch <<6, 7, 8, 9, 10>>.

The previous ROM (original HTC) did not have such a problem.

Any clues?

I do all the steps correctly, and when the updater is reading the device configuration (white screen in the device), it takes 15 seconds or so, and then a message with the 260 Error Connection appears.
The new hardware wizard does not appear now, but i think that that never was the problem.

I´ll try to describe what is happening here:

1.- Soft reset device and PC. Everything is quiet. Antivirus disabled (Avast)
2.- Plug miniusb to the Touch. (Two tipical sounds of USB devices)
3.- Activesync does the job and finalizes.
4.- Start.bat (the zip file contents with its folder structure intact is in c:\pdarom)
5.- 1/3 and 2/3 run smoothly.
6.- Tux appears, white screen, sound of USB unplugged, activesync disabled, and three sounds when the usb connects again. (yes, three sounds)
7.- RUU launches.

(Here i'd like to have a step more clear. In the second step of the RUU, it is written as second point : "Establish an ActiveSync connection with your PDA Phone". Does this mean that the icon should be green now?

8.- Verifying the information on your PDA phone... Please Wait. (Now Activesync DISSAPEARS from the taskbar)

9.- ERROR [260] : Connection. The PDA screen is still white.

Hey Zumbao,

The installation process that you described above is absolutely correct including all the notification sounds.. just perfect.. nothing wrong about it. The activesync after the white screen should be "gray" in XP but maybe still "green" in Vista.

From the edited text, it appeared the USB port is the cause of the connection errors you are getting.

One or two things you may wish to try:

Alternative 1:
If you have the HTC original ROM, use bootloader mode to flash it to your Touch first. This will correct the USB port errors. Then you flash the new custom ROM.

Alternative 2:
Try to flash it from another XP computer. If you don't have, maybe try to use your friend's computer.

heya bro, used to have the same issue, was finally resolved when i took out the sd card and repeated the whole process. From what i know, sometimes some guys here even take out the sim card just to be sure.

It should be fixed but I do not know for certainty as I don't have a A2DP BT headset to test out. Maybe someones here who owns one can verify that.

BTW, I have included the A2DPToggle plugin in the rom for easy functionality.

The version of Java Midlet Jeodek in this rom (which is the same one as the original rom) does not seems to work with Gmail midlet. If you really want to install it, you can try installing Cloudya Esmertec Jbed first.

Having the same problem, soft-reset doesn't help. Try to install the
ZoomSMS.cab posted by someone, always show "Installation was
unsuccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed because
it does not have sufficient system permissions." My guess is it trying
to install to Windows or the file(s) already there. Hoping to get it
work by till today no luck. Just wondering could it be due to the
PhoneAlarm which I have in the phone?

Oh really! It's TouchPal? As for WM5torage V1.8, you can install the cab over v1.75 in the rom, no problem. Just remember to update me what are the differences.

yup. After I removed touchpal, its fast and much more memory.

Only thing is the power drains is fast. Or it maybe I play more with my Touch, now that the ROM is so nice :)

Hey DreamsinCali,

Restart your computer and your device, then give it another go. Worst comes to worst it didn't work, just soft reset using the stylus and you should get back your old V3.02. No need for hard reset. Good Luck!

As for HTC Home, this is the original HTC Home but I have change some of the icons and clock font. There is a cab on the first post to change them all back to the original icons if you so wishes... Cheers

If you want just an italian language keyboard to type messages, you can use the HTC Touch keyboard or PocketCM keyboard which have multi-language support. koala996 has a version of Touch keyboard that support 14 languages including Italian... Cheers

Hi Swiftblade,

Version 1.8 is suppose to be able to "autodetect" when the USB cable is attached. So we can activate it, after that its like plug and play, like a normal USB drive.

In the past, we have to manually activate (umount our SD card from the phone), then connect to the PC, after that we need to make sure we deactivate (mount back the SD card to the phone).

This is my first few experince we WM5torage. I will update again soon.

Question 1: Oh shit, I forgot about the "tabsetting" registry. Simple registry fix:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\HTCHome]
"Tabsetting"="1,3,4,5,6,2"--- Add "2"

Question 2: Haven't found a remedy for it. It's inherent to the OS Build 18521 I used for this rom.

I mean it works, but when I want to hear the music and have to hit my bluetooth button it activates the Voice Command. If I click out of VC then of course I loose the music. Since I can't seem to get to the switch without closing out... maybe I can :confused: thinking copying and pasting to Programs?

At any rate what I did was just copied the toggle switch I had posted here for the 3.01 and it works fine. I can get to the switch turn it on and the music plays.

I know a lot of people don't like VC but it works great for me, so I keep using it. :)

It should be fixed but I do not know for certainty as I don't have a A2DP BT headset to test out. Maybe someones here who owns one can verify that.

Hey jtuned,

Welcome to the world of PPCs and Touch users!

Since this is the first time you own a PDA and HTC Touch, it is very important not to make the grave mistake of rushing into things and flashes the very first ROM that you set your sight upon or you might end up with in dire consequences. (We have enough "bricks" in XDA to build the Great Wall of China... haha :D ) I suggest you do the followings:

1. Take your time to explore your device and find out all the device information and ROM information that you can get. You should positively identify which versions of HTC Touch you possess; there are quite a few variants and it can be very confusing.

2. Read up as much as you can and understand what are involved in flashing a custom ROM and its pitfalls. Use the search function and the XDA-wiki in this forum which are excellent tools to search for information.

3. When you think ready to flash a custom ROM after all the reading up, go to your device's forum and check out all the customised ROMs and see which one suits your need best in terms of apps and functionality. Each chef has theri own perferences and criteria and cooks them in the manner they like best. Always read their first posts where all the ROM information resides.

4. Having selected and downloaded the ROM you want to flash... (No, not yet...), back up your contacts and PIMs and if possible have a copy of the original HTC stock ROM ready in case you need it to restore your device.

5. Now you are ready to flash your selected custom ROM. (VERY IMPORTANT: Read the ROM installation instructions and follow them closely. Most of them required you to do a USPL CID Unlock (by pof) before flashing their ROM while other like my have CID unlocking integrated)

6. Now take a deep breath and take the dip... GOOD LUCK!

Having the same problem, soft-reset doesn't help. Try to install the
ZoomSMS.cab posted by someone, always show "Installation was
unsuccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed because
it does not have sufficient system permissions." My guess is it trying
to install to Windows or the file(s) already there. Hoping to get it
work by till today no luck. Just wondering could it be due to the
PhoneAlarm which I have in the phone?

Question 1: Oh shit, I forgot about the "tabsetting" registry. Simple registry fix:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\HTCHome]
"Tabsetting"="1,3,4,5,6,2"--- Add "2"

Question 2: Haven't found a remedy for it. It's inherent to the OS Build 18521 I used for this rom.

I found two more issues though.

1. The HTC Action Screen's New MMS function does not bring up the MMS screen but goes into E-Mail Sample.

2. When adding images to a MMS, the images in the selection folder appears as blank boxes instead of showing the images. I had to use List view to view the filenames and select them instead.

I would really like that menue back to the end button. Also since flashing I seem to be having MMS/SMS problems. Some of my messeges dont get recieved and often even when they do they are reportedly blank. I tried applying the settings cab file someone on the Rogers network provided. Thanx!

The two apps you are talking about are HTC Touch Dual apps called End Key and Randam Access. You can get them HERE (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=344533) and installed them if you wish but they are not for me. I find the End Key quite useless and installing Random Access will make your lose scrolling in Contacts.. Cheers..

i also have the same but finally solved it..hope it can help.

1. Try to stop the PhoneService.exe run.(use program MemMaid or other program with you to terminate it)
2. install the program again....cos i have the same problem with.
(the main problem you cannot install due to the program is running!)

3. after install.... Delete Scenarios.Ink from Start Menu. Because it is no use to me.

Have you tried the threaded_sms ? It tracks all the sms you send and recieve, in threads. Very nice. I heard its extracted from WM6.1

BTW, predictive keyboard text input seems to "disappear" after sometime. A soft reset "revives" it. But after sometime, it will not appear again.

Advanced Config V1.1 has done away with the tabsetting, you can simply do a registry fix:

Yes, my mistake, It is supposed to be "INPUT" and not "Phone" as reightly pointed out by you.

Look like you didn't install the Touch Keyboard then that xT9 language options will not be available. As for PCM Keyboard, I am not familiar but it is suppose to support multi-languages. Select it and see any there are language options? Or else install the Touch Keyboard.

The Mystery Saga Continues..... "The Case of the Missing ZOOM SMS"...

It seems that the Zoom SMS apps somehow is not activating or linking up with the phonesettings. In the afternoon, I was fiddling the phonesettings and restore PIM Backup and it finally works. I have mistaken the Contacts as the source of the problem but apparently not.

Let me recalled what I was fiddling with the device that "kicked" it into action..

.... did some glyph, cache, filter settings in Advanced Config..
.... selected "Show TTY" in Advanced Config..
.... Device reset after accepting new settings in Advanced Config..
.... restore my PIMs (contacts and messages) from PIM Backup

Well... that's about all I did and VIOLA, the Zoom SMS works... One of these actions kick it into action...

p.s. I repeated this message from my other thread. Hope it helps....

With your prompting, I finally installed the HTC GIF Animation that you are so enthusastic and I discovered that all the GIF files are not moving anymore as they should be. I unistalled it and all the gif files and moving like crazy..... haha...:D

Oh Cali... Oh Cali... you are really superfluous. Just uninstall the HTC GIF Animation apps and you will get all your dancing GIFs back again...:p

Oh good... now it narrows down to probably setting "Show TTY page". If that's the case, then I will simply add a registry key for that in the next rom to resolve the issue.

TTY - "Talk To You (Later)" :D :D

This is definitely not usual and it is very likely some software conflict. If your Touch was working fine before, reviewed all the applications that you have just installed and try to isolate the culprit apps through elimination.

Plus, may some expert tell me how to set the screen light black when it wasn't touched for 2 minutes? My device only switches to the "power save" level when it's standing by. Any way to set it darker??

To set your screen off in 2 minutes:

Go Start-->Settings-->System-->Backlight-->Battery Power-->Select "2 Min"

then Go Start-->Settings-->System-->Power-->Advanced--> Check settiing is higher than 2 min

This ROM GRPS must be manually set:

Go Start-->Settings-->Connections-->Network Wizard-->Choose "Country" and "Network Operator"-->"OK"-->"Restart"

After reset, your GPRS should be working. Cheers

You have a Touch Enhanced 128/256 in your hands. You should flash the Blue ELFin ROM V2.01 instead. This ROM is for the standard Touch 64/128.

If you have used Cyberon Voice Commander previously and it works then it should also works with this rom. Just install it and see how it works out. Sorry, I don't use the Voice Commander and the Voice Speed Dial at all...;)

As to whether to update to the newer V3.21, the choice is strictly yours depending on which setup suit your need better. Read the information on the first post and see the features are to your liking and then decide for your yourself. They are ppls I know that are still using V1.0 because it suit them best. Cheers..

i've installed the new cab but i can't join the settings under settings-->voice speed dial :( so this also isn't working for me.

Hey nak,

You have a Touch Enhanced 128/256 in your hands. You should flash the Blue ELFin ROM V2.01 instead. This ROM is for the standard Touch 64/128.

Download the Blue ELFin ROM V2.01 from my signature. Cheers

I'm using a Rogers Touch as well, how do i know is it "Enhanced" or "Standard" Touch?
If mine is "Enhanced" Touch, and I have installed the Blue Touch ROM V3.21. Should I install the Blue ELFin ROM V2.01 again???

And is that why I have problem with turning the device off ?? (Problem: It either soft-resets, or I can't turn it back on until i reinstall the battery hardware)

Hey sokee,

Go Start-->Settings-->System-->Memory and see what is your Total Storage Memory?

Storage 57.6Mb = Standard Touch
Storage 177Mb+ = Touch Enhanced

Check also Settings-->System-->Device information-->Hardware Tab

Flash Size 128Mb = Standard Touch
Flash Size 256Mb = Touch Enhanced

I have this same problem too. I can activate Voice Dial via BT headset call button, but I can't get to the settings. Which means I cannot create any voice tags, restore voice tags from backup, or backup existing voice tags, rendering it kinda useless.

Suggestion, put it back into ROM. :)

That will be in my next ROM update but I don't know when that will be.. :D Meanwhile, let me compare the registry settings and see whether there are anythings different...

Did you noticed the same issue? Keyboard word suggestions stops working after awhile? Usually a softreset fix it for a while. But its breaks again after a while.

Just to be doubly sure, what colour is your Touch? Soft Black, Pure White, Burgundy Red or Wasabi Green. So your Storage Memory is only 57Mb+?

Hi Swiftblade, my ZoomSMS working now, I only did this:
1) Go to Phone --> Settings --> Appreciation Software and tick Zoom SMS
2) Go to Advanced Config --> Phone and tick Show TTY page
After click Done Device will reset and did a test sms after that, it work.
Could it be "Show TTY page" did the trick? and btw what is this TTY thing?

Sad to say, zoomsms doesn't work anymore. it work during yesterday test.
Repeat and follow whatever method also could not get it work again.

Swiftblade, I hv installed Blue ElFin ROM V2.01 to my Touch Enhanced. The Power button works fine and the device can turn on and off normally. The screen also can be off.
