Make HTC Home Weather update when in background?

I have the option checked to update weather automatically, but whenever I press the weather icon it says attempting to download weather data or something like that and I have to wait on it to see the forecast.

Is there a way to keep it always updated like on a certain interval so it will already be there when I click the icon to look at it?

I usually look at the weather around 3 times per day so each time i look the 2 hour window has expired and must download again.

No, it does not function in that manner. And no one has posted a way to do this.
