I don't know how to delete stuff out of the windows folder ... but there's a lot of crap in there that I would love to get rid of too... but apparently that's all in the Rom, so we can't delete it? I don't know, maybe ITJE can tell us.

According to Itje, the rom has to be 50mb or something? I don't know, bc I have yet to find time to mess with rom building and stuff ... but it would be nice to get rid of all that unnecessary BS.

I think once your HOW TO: Build your own rom is completed and people know how to cook their own roms, things will get better.

Yeah, once you get done with the cooking walkthrough, Im going to try and make a completely bare ROM and see if that works. That will answer the whole 50mb question and it will also allow me to make a ROM to my specs. :D

I'm glad you own a Herald and not another device because we wouldnt have you to help us and this phone would, quite frankly, suck without your ROMs :p

First off, itje, great job on the ROM. My wife is loving it on her phone!!!

Second, to my posting title. I used PIMBackup to backup call logs, SMS and Speed Dials. I chose not to back up anything having to do with Outlook (contacts, email, notes, etc.). Once I flashed v.2.3 from v.2.0, I noticed that the "Favorite People" are gone. Now, I do understand that these have nothing to do with "Speed Dials", but I'm wondering whether anyone has figured out how to back up those and restore them. No biggie if that's not possible.

Thanks again itje for a job well done. As a suggestion, I would update the "How To Upgrade.txt" to include the fact that while flashing the device may show "Unknown Error" or somesuch message and that you are NOT to clear that error (I know it states that somewhere in these posts as well, but having the instructions in one place would help people in the future).

You have to first find the registry folders:

Click on \ in the top right corner.
Then click on the folder labeled \\
Click on registry.

These are your main registry folders that you will need to mess with. I have found that most of the things you will have to edit are in HKLM.

ITJE, actually kwietstorm is right, even with the network settings set right, it still wont update the weather unless you manually turn on GPRS OR reselect your city.

Are you updating weather through htc home, or the touchsettings in the touchflo folder?

If you do not use the one in touchsettings, (as I have said probably 100 times before) then you will have the issues that has been mentioned so many times that Im bored to death of it.

Well said.... I have the Wing.. Just loaded this yesterday and have tried 3 others. This is rockin. issues? none that I have found. Actually way more stable then stock Rom. Thank you very much for your hard work. I wish all would remember this is M$ product. They have a zillion people all over the world working on a recipe and try to put it together. Hmmm bugs? of course. That is why we depend on the pioneers here to pave the way to what we all know our PocketPC's can really do. I thank you. Please do not let a few spoil the pot.

The hanging Comm Manager is a Windows bug. I have the same issue with the Dash. You won't see it unless you have a task app that lists the processes that are running. This is a subtle model bug.

Which leads right to where ITJE is going at. These are bugs that pop up regardless of the rom, from not reading the directions, or just the user experience.

For not having a Wing to play with I think ITJE did an excellent job. Thanks for your effort and time spent on this. You did us a great favor considering you didn't have to do this in this first place. Cheers.

hard reset = hold down both soft keys while pressing the reset. You'll then see a black screen telling to press the send button if you want to clear out your memory. Then you proceed by pressing that green button if you own a wing.

In the 2.1 (I think) Rom I had to call Tmobile to get the settings for MMS/Email messages to work. Will I have to do that with this ROM as well?

For those Interested I went to(Not the same as T-Mobiles directions):

Start -> Messaging -> Menu -> Tools -> Options
- Tap The MMS Account
- Select the Servers Tab
- Tap "New"
- Use these settings:
Server Name: T-MobileMMS
Gateway: 216.155.165.50
Port: 8080
Server Address: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
Connect Via: T-Mobile Data
Size Limit: 300K
WAP Version: 2.0

- Tap "OK"

Test by sending a picture message to yourself or your Email address (You can reply back to your phone).

Change touchflo buttons to green.

All of the following have been removed to free up about 4MB of space:

my5 fav and related jpg files
alot of ringtones and unusefull sounds
All used gif files

So no one else is experiencing a sluggish PIE? By sluggish I mean if you visit something like this website, for example, and try to scroll through the threads; the scroll gets really sluggish and just keeps scrolling (slowly) even after you tap the screen.

Would it be worth my time to try and reflash the ROM to see if that makes a difference?

Yea I have troubles with the scroll in other applications as well, but it's manageable. No other application is sluggish like PIE, though.

I work for tmobile. Trust me.

IF you have a myfavs PLAN with tmobile, every month you can change who your 5 are via tmobile online or customer care. ANY calls made from your phone number, to the numbers you put as your 5, are always free. You dont have to select the persons picture or icon from the myfavs menu, or even have myfavs installed on your phone. Just as long as you set up the numbers, you'll talk to them for free.

And then of corse if you dont have a myfavs plan, but find a phone capable of myfavs (software installed) and try to set up the contacts in those 5, you will not call them for free. But thats only if you dont have a myfavs plan. Thats what my brother thought, his phone had myfavs, so he added 5 people to the favs, but didnt have the plan for it. so the "favs" were more just a "frequently called' list, that the calls were not made for free to.

Has anyone figured out how to make the New E-mail button in HTC action screen work with a specific email address (and NOT outlook). Right now mine goes straight to outlook, and i have two other e-mail addresses. There is one that I use primarily for sending e-mails. It would be nice if i could specificy one of them as my default, so that every time i click new e-mail, it opens up a blank template so i can send an email, without going to my e-mail inbox in the messaging program>Menu>New

Hi guys i just finish flashing my wing..At the end of flashing it it gave me an error on my pc saying soundplayer.exe not found ...But either way it started working and everything seems fine to me..i even hear sound and my speakers works...Now the only thing i don't know How to do is enable the cube..Rite now my wing looks exactly has the pictures in the first page..Please some help thnk you in advance

Hello, I currently have the T-Mobile ROM installed. I am a little worried about putting another ROM on it, in fear of bricking the Wing. Does this custom ROM improve the speaker phone on the device when listening to music using the speaker, and also does it improve the camera so that the pics come out much clearer like they do on the Dash when viewed on the screen? Thanks for the heads up. I'm about to start now, the original ROM is soo ugly. I am very surprised. Instead of getting 1 box w/ 2 Tmobile Wing, 1 Motorola Rizr, 2 BT Headsets, I recieved another box with the same exact contents. So for a total of 4 wings 2 rizr's! I only recieved email confirmation for one of the packages, and activation confirmation on the same package. The other one was taped w/ UTStarcom tape, the other was not. I don't know what to do.

I just did this.

Hooked up my phone w/ USB
Turned off Phone in Comm Manager
Installed ASerg_Policies.CAB, did soft reset
Started Installing UPGRADE_ROM.bat, I recieved the "Unknown Error" on the Screen of my phone but I ignored it, then I recieved a Net Framwork Error on the computer, I ignored that, DOS installation said it was successful
Now I have a Wing, that is stuck on the Tmobile Boot Screen, tried hard reseting but that doesn't work either.

Any ideas on what happend, and why it didn't work? I'm gonna try to get this thing working again.

EDIT: Just reflashed to the original RUU, installing Net Framework 2.0, going to give it another go.

ne1 else? when i soft reset it take a long time to boot up it gets stuck on the intro touch it screen then i have to press reset button atleast 2wice to get it to boot up regular without freezing???

Thanks for this wonderful rom, but i ran into a few flashing problems.

Okay what i did.

1.Saved all my contact/pix on my sd car, and removed it from the phone.
2.Sync up my phone usb, and went into guest mode.
3. Copied the Aserg file to my device and disconnected the sync.
4. Installed the Aserg file and rebooted(soft reset) after it was successful.
5. Resync in guest mode
6. Ran the UPGRADE.BAt file on my computer. And i got all errors.

What am i doing wrong????

I am using Wing v2.3 (love it!) and I would like to change to a solid black background on the home page. (I love the winged Angel, but it is hard to read some of the scroll area information).

I know that you are supposed to go to 'pictures and videos' and select an image, then choose 'use as background', but how could I get the Winged Angel back if I decide I can't do without her?

any advice on registry changes or instructions on making such background ajustments would be very helpful.

The myfaves 5 is included with this ROM just like the original. It will self-setup after you flash. You can also install the program on any ROM if it's not included. jus search for the cab file (I don't have it or a link however)

It means that you should revert to the original rom if you have previously flashed your device. If you are already running the T-mobile ROM you should simply hard reset before flashing to get it back to the original state. You do this by holding down both soft-key hard buttons, then pressing the soft reset button while still holding them down, and finally pressing the green call button when prompted. Good luck and enjoy the new ROM!

A little clarification:
You just reflashed it with another ROM.
Just do a hard reset. Don't worry about the bootloader. The screen alignment should pop up after you hardreset.

You can indeed manage your MyFaves from online and that's how I do it. I wish there was a version of this ROM that didn't include it. I hate how I get duplicate contacts for myfaves contacts and such and having to change their ringtones seperately.

The problem with your app crashing I think is that its trying to go to your contacts and since its different its crashing for some reason. Are you using PocketCM?

If you downloaded the ROM read the "How To Upgrade.txt" thats included and follow the directions exactly, you'll be fine =)

Hi,

I've noticed with this rom that ActiveSync occasionally fails to connect to my computers. It never had an issue with the factory rom. The workaround is to restart the phone, works fine from there. I have an extra 'easysync' program for Lotus Notes so it's possible it's related to that, but, again, never happened before. Symptom is that it says it's connecting but never actually does, go into activesync on phone and it gets stuck at the AS sync screen.

I'm not planning on it, but, if I want to flash back do I hard reset and use 'recovery' mode for the factory rom or do I have to do anything extra? It's probably posted around here somewhere, haven't searched yet.

Lastly, I do like this rom, but, I'm finding that the grey color scheme is awful to read in sunlight. Especially the phone contacts screen and media player. Changing the theme doesn't really adjust those items so, any links to more contrast-y schemes/skins for those two would be appreciated.

Thanks a lot itje. Its great effort. I have been reading XDA developer even before I got my TMo wing, though have not posted anything since joinning. Felt complete noobi and was only reading. I tried Touch-it full and then mooved to ver 2.3. I love it.
I have couple of question, while I was using the earlier version, I could get a skype call on the ear piece directly by default but in ver 2.3 it has gone back to spk. Any suggestions.
2. I personally like MS voice command because I donot want to record voice tags. I have installed MS VC1.6 and configured the voice button but it does not work with bluetooth button. Do I need to uninstall the voice speed dial?

I downloaded and installed TylerC161 compiliation of Touch-it 2.3 (clean, see this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1670411)) with TouchFLo, but after installing successfully, I still can't get the cube to appear. I had the version 2 before and I simply assigned TouchFlo to one of the buttons. The TouchFlo application or shortcut was installed in Programs/TouchFlo folder. After installing this version, I don't see the TouchFlo in that folder (only TF Setting and TouchSetting), nor do i see it anywhere in the Button Settings. Am I missing something? I only found a shortcut file in the Windows directory. But copy/paste that didn't solve. My question is can someone with working Version 2.3 upload TouchFlo.exe file from Windows directory for me so I can copy it where it is supposed to go? Or do I need to reflash and re-install? Yep. you messed up trying to clear the Error message. It says that in my guide if you didnt see it. I suggest everyone read it when flashing something
Oddly enough mine only worked when I cleared the "unknown status" error. When I didn't clear it right away it got stuck on hard reset.

You don't need to do anything to keep your ringtones on the storage card. Simply put them in one of 4 places.

/storage card/my documents/rings/

Note if you put them in either folder called rings you can only use them for ringtones, not for mms, sms, im, etc.

You can't use them for the alarm though.

Wierd bug:

If you go to the button settings, it will assign 2 buttons the same operation. Obviously you cannot exit until each button has a seperate function to open. Well once you try to change one of these duplicate values it always makes the change null and wont change at all. Leaving you no way to exit the button configuration.
I didn't touch the duplicated (non-assigned) voice speed dial and I was able to change my button 4 to messaging.

One flaw is that buttons 4 and 5 are wrong. The envelope icon button should be set for messaging but its set to voice speed dial. Also the button with the second option of (hold) should be the word bubble buttom, which should be voice speed dial (default) and record (hold).

btw you can set the unmarked button to none if you have trouble setting buttons.

I love this rom, other than the button mapping issue I mentioned last post I haven't found any other problems with it. But I do have a question. I thought it included Voice command, but either it doesn't or I accidentally deleted it when I uninstalled a bunch of the included software I didn't need (winwap, etc.).

Also it would be nice to have the option to delete some of the software in extra and voice speed dial.

Lastly I know you had to pull PocketCM, but did you try contacting the author? From reading his website it looks like he would consider allowing distribution.

Wow, not sure what I am doing wrong but I installed the pocketcm and changed the HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\113\Open value to "\Windows\Start Menu\PocketCM.lnk and I keep getting "The file PocketCM cannot be opened. Either it is not signed or cannot be found..."

I checked in the Windows\Start Menu and the PocketCM.ink is there. I've uninstalled and reinstalled a few times and it all ends up the same.

Any ideas??
It shouldn't point to a shortcut, but to the actual program "\program files\Pocket CM\PocketCM.exe" or whatever the file location is.

Iam losing storage memory fast... but ive been saving my programs to storage card? does is it save to both the device and storage card when u install a program?

Try pBar 1.4 (its on here somewhere), its much better than the built in x button.

I can't get my MMS to work. Is it necessary that I run the network wizard? Also, the myfaves app is not present, but as I said about one of your previous iterations, it suddenly appeared 2 weeks or so after I flashed my Wing. I guess I should expect the same thing this time?

I am using Wing v2.3 (love it!) and I would like to change to a solid black background on the home page. (I love the winged Angel, but it is hard to read some of the scroll area information).

I know that you are supposed to go to 'pictures and videos' and select an image, then choose 'use as background', but how could I get the Winged Angel back if I decide I can't do without her?

any advice on registry changes or instructions on making such background ajustments would be very helpful.

Don't use all caps, its "yelling" and is rude. Secondly don't whine about not being able to do it because of your age, at 15 many people had very little, let alone a $400 phone. And its a cop out.

RUU is a single file executable rom updater. If you have the default rom for your country you don't need to run it, you just need to perform a hard reest, which will delete everything from your phone and make it the same as it was the day you brought it home.

Its not closed, its minimized. If it was closed it shouldn't be popping up. Do not click "exit" to close it, close it using the "x".

When you flash it it replaces the built in rom with the updated rom. The hard reset then copies that backed up rom to the user space (I'm sure my terminology is wrong).

To revert to the factory rom you'll have to download it and run it (it'll be a ruu).

I got the same thing on my wing when i tried to put touch it on my phone as well. its says it will take appx 15mins and instantaneously after you press and key to continue its done.... if you come up with a solution i would really appreciate the help one that. thanx

Wow, that is the hardest to read post I've ever seen on any forum. Not to mention a rambling piece of shit. Your question is esentially;

"Does this rom use the 4mb pagepool? And if so, is it possible to set the pagepool to 6mb using the readily available tools?"

Yes I believe it does use the 4mb pagepool. Sadly I do not know if the available fixes will work. You may need to use the "old fashioned" method detailed over at modaco (hex editing the file yourself).

My only problem so far was that I accidentally clicked minimize in batterystatus, so I couldn't find it (it's not in the programs folders or anything). I had to find "batterystatus.exe" in the windows folder to get it to show again.

Otherwise, definitely liking it so far. The scroll thing in contacts and on web sites is very nice, and I think I might actually use the cube. Cool.

I can not seem to get this to work on my wing. I have tired this 4 times now and followed every instruction to a T. After dos thw window finishes and I hard reset my phone it shows me the T-mobile Splash screen but never loads the OS and it just hangs.

I am in no way noob at flashing devices this rom just seems to disagree with me. Any suggestions?

It is a zip file, if you don't know how to open a zip file you probably shouldn't be flashing your phone.

Programs that open zip files;
Zipghost, Tugzip, Winzip, Winrar, Winace, 7zip, IZarc, Stuffit, etc.

Yeah, I did that, but then when you have it on your today screen and you click and bring up the options menu, there's an option to minimize the line. I accidentally clicked that. No fault of yours, but it's semi hidden to find after you do something like that. I found it, so no problems.

Interesting thing is I was having a different issue on the side where I couldn't make or receive calls all day yesterday. It started happening BEFORE I flashed this rom, so it's not the fault of that. Anyway, I ended up flashing back and forth a few times. Finally, while on the stock rom, it started working again. I flashed back to this, and this time all traces of the myfaves program are gone. It tells me my myfaves have been updated when I restart my phone, but the program is nowhere to be found. The first time I flashed this, it was all there.

Not that I'm complaining. I hated that program, and it caused tons of problems (like missed calls from myfavs people not showing in the call log, etc). As long as I don't get charged for the calls now, this worked out pretty nicely. :cool:

im having problems with flashing I just flashed my wing with the and touch it 2.0 and Touch-It v2.3 beta for wing. My phone is now frozen again, and it says when the upgrade finish to hard reset now but my phone is frozen, Last time tried to upgrade it after it froze i just took the battery off since i couldnt do anything. The pics showing the options (top to bottom, middle to bottom, etc.), the arrow is supposed to be your finger movement which will activate the cube. I'm assuming that's what you mean. It won't work if you have xp 64. You'll have to use another computer that has regular xp (don't forget to install actviesync on it).

Well, I have that problem too, last time I left it for like 90 minutes, and it did nothing. So I realised that when I have a custom rom and I want to write a new one over the old one, it does not work for me. I tried it several times, no luck, so now I install the original ruu of my provider and then follow the read me, and it installs in like 6 to 8 minutes...

Am I the only one getting the

"The system can not execute specified program" message when flashing? This would pop up maybe 8 - 9 times before flashing begins. Is this normal? Will I be missing anything because of this error if it is even an error? So far this message has popped up 3 for 3.

I am using windows XP btw if that makes any difference. 32 bit version!

First make sure your in guest mod, if you have a profile create, disconnect your device and delete the profile for MS sync program.

So currently I am running the PDAVIET touchflo rom on my wing. I was really interested in trying out the touchit 2.3. My question is this. Is it neccessary to flash the original rom back to the phone? I had no problem installing the pdaviet rom from the original tmobile rom, so should I revert back to the original rom then flash the touch-it 2.3? Or can i just flash it with 2.3? I have been reading of alot of errors so I am trying to be proactive as my wing is my only phone :)

Yes, that would be the best way. Just install the tmob rom and then run touch-it.

I'm pretty sure I answered a similar question a few pages ago. If you don't know what a rar file is and are not able to search a thread you probably shouldn't flash your phone.

when things go wrong, we always blame the maker, well somethings you got to think, he may only be working with a win32 system, so you can't expect that he knows everything right from the start. Obviously, I give him credit. And, I was obviously excited and thought his ROM looked awesome or I wouldn't have attempted to install it. So, please refrain from trying to chew me out like I am a unappreciative child. Enough people do that on these forums to everyone and it really gets old.

Now, all I was suggesting is that perhaps now that we now it won't work on XP64, the post should be edited to mention that so people do not hard reset their phones for nothing.

As I always post in my threads, ITS NOBODYS FAULT THEN YOUR OWN IF YOU BRICK YOUR DEVICE.

Its your own responsebility if any harm comes to your device when flashing unofficial roms, and that is stated in the read me's.

And yes, I dont use x64 os, and have never given it any thought, but I can assure you that I feel no guilt, AT ALL, for not thinking about that.

I cant cover every thing that might or might not work...Or maybe I should make a installer that works with win 3.11 win95 win98 win98se winME, winNT, win2000, linux, macOS and so on, and maybe one for ATARI, C64 and gameboy too???? :D

Indeed, Touch-IT 2.3 (especially when combined with BatteryStatus) is pretty speedy. I think that initially PDAViet seemed faster "out of box", in that the cube popped up more quickly and scrolled around more quickly. But I wonder how much of that is simply that MyFaves was disabled (removed?) from PDA-Viet?

I'm going to try out OpenTouch a little later, it's based on this ROM but even more stripped. Or maybe I'll stay with this one and simply disable MyFaves. Either way, it's pretty fast and I'm happy.

Since im off today i decided to go through all 45 pages so i could fix my wing up like i wanted to. I was having so many problems with it i and saw a lot of people saying they like there wings better after changing roms so i gave it another try. Also for people still having the comm manager pop up, i have it where i can get to the comm manager through battery status by going through options and clicking show mobile operator and it when i click on t-mobile the CM pops up. When im done instead of clicking on the X in CM i go back to the today screen and click on CM again and i get a batterstaus message that says CommManager terminated. Thanks a lot to everybody for all the info and thanks for the new rom

i think i bricked my phone =(, not sure. i flashed with the Tmobile US RUU, since that's what service i have. I got to the step where i load Upgrade_ROM and i left it for about an hour and it just hung, i guess. so I unplugged the phone and i did a soft reset and now the phone won't go past the tmobile screen. i've tried doing a hard reset, after i press the send button it just goes back to the tmobile screen. what can i do now? I've tried running the RUU while the phone is stuck on the t-mobile screen but I get the error "The update Utility cannot connect to your PDA phone.... make sure it is connected to the USB...etc"

You'll have to place it into bootloader mode (hold the camera button and softreset) and then reflash it with the Tmobile ROM. Then try again, this time, don't forget to install Aserg's Policies, POWER CYCLE, then place the phone on flight mode. If you do not follow these instructions, the flash will fail.

Yes, but the MyFav application will NOT run. You'll have to call them directly or go online to change your top5. You can always add your top 5 to your HTCHome's quick dial.

Hi, I've asked this question previously, but didn't get a response, so I thought I'd try again.

I seem to have to soft reset / warm boot the device once a day or so because of various reasons (mostly because the contacts screen gets stuck or scrolls or starts saying xyz component fails to load).

Whenever I do that, the contacts linked as the 9 favorites in speed dial and the 9 favorites in contacts disappear after the reset.

My question is whether there is any way to back up that linkage, instead of manually having to re-link everything after each reset.

I do not know if it is because of a bad flash or something with the rom, but everytime I try to use my calendar with this rom, I always get an error message.

The file 'HTCCalendar' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file.

I use myfaves just fine with this ROM; I used memaid 2.0 to add the myfaves service to the startup services of the device, which then permits changes, updates, and general use of the myfaves application. No problems whatsoever.

Ive flashed to this ROM which is a clean rom, but the PDAViet one is faster in everyway possible. This one takes awhile to finish initializing when you reboot the phone and was very sluggish til i changed the page pool to 6 meg. Both great roms but the PDAV works better on my wing.

Unfortunately, it will not work. You need to find an upgrade made specifically for the HP2200 series. This ROM is for the HTC Herald.

I installed the 2.3 for about 1 week now. But somehow, it is very unstable. Without my SIM plugged in as a PDA, the new ROM works fine. Also, with I have overclocked to 286MHz. Perfect !! Howeven, after I put my SIM in, it was fine at the beginning, but after an hour or so, the Wing is actually freezed. The signal LED will light up normally, but when I press the On/Off key, it does not wake the Wing. I tried to call myself with a land line, the Wing won't ring.. but it did not direct me to my voicemail. Seems like the inside still working, but it was not able to wake up and turn on the screen. Also, in the morning, I have set a daily alarm on the Wing. I never able to wake up by the Alarm set on the Wing as it is not responding already. Any help? That's strange. Try reformatting it again. (Don't have to reinstall the RUU first.) It might have missed one little byte here or there.

Just installed.

Installation was a breeze. AWESOME artwork. Everything seems to be working fine at the moment... only thing I've noticed is that the comm manager likes to pop up for no reason when you close certain screens ... it appears to be random at the moment, so I need more time to figure it out.

I'll report back as soon as I get a chance to play with it some more.

first off i want to thank OP for this rom and great instruction from everyone. i got this rom work great on my tmobile wing, one problem is that the activesync fail every time i connect the USB. i think the reason is that i didnt flash in "guest mode". i 've read thru the whole thread and cant find the right solution to fix this. please help if anyone know how to fix this issue. or do i have to redo the whole flashing procedure again. thanks alot!

btw is there a way to get another view mode working for the cube except top to bottom?

Reflash it.

Reflashed with the 2.3 again. (Not the Lite anymore). Seems very stable overnight @260Mhz. I then overclocked it to 286Mhz. Freezed once. Putting it back to 260Mhz and test the stability.

Experience:
First attempt hung (I waited 2 hours just to see). Went back to RUU (also worked perfectly) and then tried again. Flashed in 15 min. Everything works as advertised. I do have the same wierd comm manager pop when accessing the touchflo, but its minor issue. If there is a fix (besides closing com manager) please point me to it.
Non-ROM Comments:
1. Any recommendations of a softbutton remap so I can make 1 SB map to HTC Action Screen?
2. What is the size of each app launcher icon (## X ##) as I want to make my own for Opera Browser (Size and file type e.g. tiff, jpeg)

Anyone having a problem with syncing up to emails? For some reason I have to soft reset the phone or put it back and forth thru the Airplane mode to get my emails to re-sync. The network is on all the time and I can surf the net.

from what i understand, something didn't install properly during the flash, try taking out the battery and putting it back in and power cycling the phone. If that doesn't help go to this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=345411 and they give you step-by-step instructions to get your phone back up and running. Once you do that you can give it another shot. I got TouchIT V2.3 and its working great, so you should be fine.

I downloaded the rom again (its the proper u.s. rom). I flashed it again. I get the exact same result. I have also been getting a ".NET framework" error on my pc when it comes to the complete screen. does anyone have any more ideas on what's goin on?

I have this issue with the stock rom and the touch-it rom. It doesn't really bother me anymore, but I thought I'd mention it. On a side note, can you point me in the direction of a TouchFLO FAQ or tutorial?

I followed the instructions to the T. However when I start the update, a message box appears on the Wing stating unknown error and the screen doesn't blank out as I thought it would. I let the update finish and hard reset. Nothing. Stays on the initial T-Mobile screen.

Applied the original Wing RUU twice already and no luck loading this rom for me.

Hi Itje and thanks for the ROM. I have been using it and it is very nice. I do have a question though. before this I was using TouchFlo v14 and it had feature that when the backlight was off, the screen came back as soon as I pressed the end or call buttons. This feature was very convenient when I combined it with S2U2. Do you know how I change the settings in your ROM to do that? thanks again.
