Hi fellows,
Well, it seems that the work is done! CREDITS to HELLONASTY and ERVIUS!!!!
We would like to invite you to try our new rom MARY 3.3.1 Super Lite, based on the latest available English language Operating System (WM6 5.2.1933 Build 18533.0.7.0)
http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/7304/screen001qz1.png (http://imageshack.us) http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/9084/screen002js0.png (http://imageshack.us)
80MB storage!
Aprox. 30MB free RAM!
This rom is so light, that if you leave your pda in the wind, it will fly away!
MARY 3.3SL - TO BE FLASHED ON WINDOWS XP: http://rapidshare.com/files/66073071/ROM_MARY_V3_3_SL.rar
MARY 3.3SL - TO BE FLASHED ON WINDOWS VISTA: http://rapidshare.com/files/66128715/ROM_MARY_V_3_3_SL_vista.rar
MARY 3.3.1SL - TO BE FLASHED ON WINDOWS XP: http://rapidshare.com/files/66603150/ROM_MARY_v_3_3_1_SL.rar (01.11.2007)
MARY 3.3.1SL - TO BE FLASHED ON WINDOWS VISTA: http://rapidshare.com/files/66770044/ROM_MARY_V_3_3_1_SL_vista.rar (01.11.2007)
Pros: HIGHEST STORAGE 80MB, A LOT OF FREE RAM AND SPEED!!!!
Cons: It's up to you to let us know about it...don't forget to give us your feedback! Only like that we can improve the quality!
Changelog 3.3SL: Complete clean ROM! Nothing more to add...she's completely naked  !!!!!!
Changelog 3.3.1SL (01.11.2007):
FLASH THIS ROM WITH THE MEMORY CARD INSERTED!!!!
-Complete clean ROM! Even more naked  !!!!!!
-Even faster than previous release
-Working Smart Dialing
-Configurable MMS
-Colors and themes now corrected
-Windows Media Player, now fully functional
-Removed some useless files and folders (Battery Status Folder still inside...to be corrected on a previous release. If you install Battery Status-see link bellow-then the software will use that folder, so, only for those who don't install this application, this folder would be useless. Anyway, I suggest you install it)
-Smother speed
-Other small optimizations
-To enable the "H" icon for HSDPA, please install Schap's Advanced Config Tool (find the link bellow). However, even if you don't see the icon, HSDPA will be enabled if you activate it in Connections Settings.
This time, I propose to make something focused essentially on speed, stability, memory and storage rather than spending time with aesthetics.
So, inside you'll find basically only the Operating System, with its' basic functionalities. All the rest, you can install by yourself, according to your needs.
It doesn't make sense to fill storage, with applications that you will never need.
Concerning the aesthetics, there are a lot of themes out there...it's just a matter of searching!
I also want to share with you, the best way to make your updates of firmware, as most of the bugs that we find, are the result of a bad-flash. Most of the times, of you re-flash, the bugs disappear.
To avoid this, this is how I flash my roms:
1. Hard Reset your device, pressing OK at the end
2. Before it starts rebooting, make another Hard Reset, but now don't press the OK button. Instead, remove the battery!
3. Wait 1 minute. While you wait, remove the storage card and the SIM card as well
4. Put the battery inside the pda again.
5. Press the buttons Camera + Power + Reset (with the pen, on the bottom of the pda) until you see the screen with color strips
6. Insert usb cable
7. Start flashing the device, as you always do.
8. As soon as it reaches 100% on the screen of the pda, it becomes black for a couple of seconds. Then, make a hard-reset, and press ok.
9. Make another hard reset, but now, but now don't press the OK button. Instead, remove the battery!
10. Wait 1 minute
11. Re-insert the battery, memory card and SIM card
12. With the pen, press the reset button on the bottom of the pda until it starts.
13. Have FUN!!
P.S - I WON'T BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES THAT RESULT ON USING THIS ROM OR FLASHING PROCESS. DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK!
If you still have problems flashing, I advise you to see this page: http://www.trinityguides.info/
For those who loose their WIFI settings after a softreset, please follow these instructions (thank's dta1974):
[!] For prevent password and account dissapearing u should (you should make this procedure immediately after first soft reset ):
1. Set up your connection settings
2. Open IExplorer / Set up Internet connection / Open some internet page
3. Click Disconnect button to close internet connection
4. Hold power button and turn off your phone
5. Power on your phone.
After that procedure your password wont disapear. I think that you should repeat the same for mail account (set up mail account / try to send or recieve your mail / hold disconnect button / turn off your phone)
We hope that this meets to your expectations!!!

Is there HTC Homeplugin in this release?
No, it won't be inside the rom. However, there will be links to the most popular softwares (cab). In this case, each one of us can install only what we need ;)
This is the idea behind: have a system looking exactly how you like, and not how the cookers like. Have the software you think it's important, and not the software that the cooker thinks is important. :D
Bye
P.S- Does anyone have Microsoft Office splitted in cabs: one cab for Word, another for Powerpoint, another for Excel and another for One Note?
Having this, we can install only the office applications that we need!! If anyone has it, please post the links.

Nice one, would be cool if *someone* made a GUI to automagically download new base roms, packages(from a central repository). You would download the GUI, select base, packages, mui files(?), press 'Cook', flash(SD Card method allowed).

Just to inform that there is already a ROM like that from Sammy Deluxe:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=324804
Of course if this is what the cook want, then it's great to have a nice and clean ROM:D , but then again, we cannot complaint if the cooker make HIS ROM with a lot of apps.
I hope this release can be the best of all, after all it is made by a PORTUGUESE 'dude':D

...the cooker make HIS ROM with a lot of apps.
Hi,
That's the difference between previous roms and this one: the previous roms were roms made for the cooker, and then he shared it with us.
This rom, is not about what the cooker likes, but instead, about making it 99% customizable.
That's the magic word: CUSTOMIZABLE ;)

First of all thank you Hellonasty and s1rl4ncel0t.
Second - I think we can add more cabs but in my opinion it's better ot make suggestion and then you post them on the first post so they will be all together.
I think it's missing:
- Acrobat reader
- Java
- AudioManager
And some wonderfull apps like:
FRING (http://www.fring.com)
S2U2 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=339786)
FTouchFlo 1.41 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=338143)
PS: Off course there's missing "hundreds" of good apps, but this is just the beginning:D :D
PS2: As soon as I have the time to try this ROM, I hope I can change my signature for good.

No, it's not possible. However, after stored in your memory card, because they are all cabs, it's very simple to re-install...

To all the others: let us know about any bugs you've found. However, before you post a bug, make all possible tests to check 100% thats it's a bug from the rom, and not from external causes, such as 3rd party software, bad memory card, etc...

You're welcome. :D
Regarding your bug, have you tried installing other dialers? Have they worked ok?
Please read my post above. Check 100% that it's a bug of the rom, because from what I understand at the moment (and I might be wrong), is that it's a problem of your installer or that cab isn't fully compatible with this rom.
Make further tests and give us feedback of the result. Then let's see what can we do to solve it.

I never use skinned dialers - always WM6 standard dialer. First thing I do after flashing new ROM is changing HKLM\Security\Phone\Skin\Enabled=0

Try installing other skins and see how it works out. If others work ok, than it has to be some kind issue of your dialer skin...Let hope not :D

This is not my dialer skin. This is standard MS WM6 dialer which included in Windows Mobile 6 Prof. I've never installed it, just disabled HTC dialer via registry to make standard WM6 dialer available.
Other "skinned" dialers like HTC one will work OK after installation, 'cause they have their own bitmaps.

First off I'd like to say thanks for such a great Super Light ROM...
So far everything is running wonderful... I only have one little thing that I haven't quite figured out to get this ROM exactly the way I like it.
I use a Motorola Bluetooth S9 Stereo Headset when I work out, when playing music through audio manager, if I don't like the current song which is playing, I click the right side of my wireless headset, and it goes to the next song as long as I'm using Audio Manager...
Everything is still working, however, when I click my headset to go to the next song, the display on my Trinity turns on, and I distinctively remember this not happening on a previous Mary Release, can't quite remember which one since I've updated so many times :)
Would anyone know if there is a setting that can keep the display off while I click to the next song through my wireless Bluetooth headset? I checked all of the options for Audio Manager and Media Player to no avail :(
Not a big deal if I can't figure this one out, I just thought I'd through this out there in case someone can shed some light on this. This is such a knowledgeable community...
Anyway, great ROM and thanks again!!
Below is a pic of how I've customized this terrific ROM...

I've tried your registry tweak in my ADW ROM (only for a few hours more:D ), and the result is the same, I mean there is nothing shown in the dialpad.
So I don't understand what is your request/complaint, because this probably will happen in all cooked WM6 ROM.

Just flashed... very fast and "naked":D :D
But has you requested here is some things I found so far:
1. Battery status folder inside Windows folder
2. OEM folder as previous one
3. CorePlayer folder inside Application Data folder
This are not bugs at all, just some left overs:D
Just one more thing, this is based on the PDAVIET ROM?
This is a great ROM, now let's see how it's going to behave with all the cabs installed :)

Hi,
We know about that issue...it's not a bug, but rather a consequence of the mms software version that was used.
The problem, is that using the other version that allows to configure more, occupies more storage space...
We'll check what can be done...
All other issues, we are on top of them...Hellonasty is a master cooker :D
Keep your fingers crossed ;)
P.S.- More cabs coming up soon!

Thanks!
If your device was bought unlock to all networks, than just flash it using the normal procedure: download the rom, and run the "ROMUpdateUtility.exe"
You can follow the procedure described in the first post of this thread ;)
Good luck!
P.S- Please people, give us your feedback. Tell us the good and bad things about this rom. Only like that we can improve on the next releases ;)

My feedback:
went back to bepe's 0.79 since I was expecting the rom to be cleaner:
HTC Audio Manager & InfoGPS could be excluded, pocket player is still the winner for audio playback(€€, I know) and tcpmp for other formats, InfoGPS is buggy(locked up sometimes), GPSTest's better & still free, but the best would be to remove these apps.
Phone Dialer is ugly, that shadowed icons have nothing to do with HTC's new look & where did that green speeddial theme came from =| the dialer on BEPE's latest rom is way nicer/consistent, the theme colours are also messed up, Windows Default is inconsistent(black BG and green bars), WM_Black2 is better but that BG.., also, the initial colours belong to neither of the included themes(BG&colours from Windows Default but top&lower bars from WM_Black), remember this happening on some of MuN's roms too.
Still on the visuals, what's with the blue images? =|
There are a few bogus entries both on initflashfiles & registry, caused by using package tools/bad packages, also, personally, I'd remove the creation of those 'My Pictures'/'Business'/'Personal'/etc default(& empty) folders from initflashfiles, only templates and UAContents should remain.
There are also a few leftovers on the file system, coreplayer, help files, batterymeter, as it has already been said.
Still would like to see that 1-click rom builder.

You are right, there are still a lot of things to be optimized. We are working on it.
The next release will be even more nacked ;)
Regarding the green dialer...is it one that you've downloaded? Because the one inside the rom is grey....with space for big contact pictures.
The colors of the themes are a little messed up...but you can always put others inside. This doesn't mean that it wont be corrected...The same applies to the dialers...
So, if I understood correctly, yours bugs regard only the way it looks and not the functionality, right?
In what concerns your proposal for 1-click cooking: One step at a time...One step at a time... ;)

Seem to be quite a few problems for me with this rom.
My device:
P3600
IPL-1.00
SPL-1.20.Olipro
Went as far as following your steps to flash (a little much don't you think)
- Today Screen is White no matter what theme I select including my own. I see the icons and line seperators for owner/message/task/calender but text and background are white. Taskbar and menu from theme do apply though.
- Comm Manager Doesn't Startup
- Phone Pad doesn't display except for the video button, it's there, I can click on the buttons they just don't display.
Didn't get as far as that, doubt it should be this "clean", any suggestions?

That is strange...Nothing even close to that happened here
Did it occur right after the flash?
About the process...that's the way I do it...And until today it has been proven flawless... The reason is simple: assure that no rest overs from previous rom are still inside...

Good idea to put upgrading SPL that as the first step, or better yet, include it in the rom.

So why the hell did my trinity connect to 3G and drain the battery from 80% to 30% in just 2 hours:eek:

Hi,
About the "H", you're right... :o
We will have this in mind for the next release.
About the battery drain, I've tested exhaustively and haven't found any issue what so ever. Double check your settings, battery conditions, etc...
And finally about the slow speed while scrolling in Internet Explorer, although I didn't noticed anything special about it, we'll check and see what could be improved. In the meantime, for those of you who experience slow scrolling in IE, install please the file from the Mikes' post.

Sorry to s1rl4ncel0t and Hellonasty for what I'm about to say:
The easiest thing to do for flashing the first time is using the AX3L ROM, because it already includes HARD-SPL and RADIO. This way you only install the ROM and everything is there in your device.
Then you can install whatever ROM you'd like, and off course you can install the MARY ROM 3.3,hopefully without any more troubles.:D

What kind of task manager are you using I remember there was a version that makes the battery drain.
Now I'm using pBar 1.5 as some kind of task manager.
When in normal use the battery drain as it should.
But that specific problem I've had was during a 3G connection.
I cannot say if this ROM drain more than others in this kind of connection, maybe it is normal.
We could install NODATA, so there will be no connection without our wishes.
The ROM is so clean that the ROM itself has no problems, so the problems must be in the added software.

You can flash in these both cenarios:
1- You let the pda syncronize with ActiveSync and then you run the flashing program, while the pda is still connected with Activesync
or
2- You reset the device and press camera+power+reset in simultaneous
Which one have you tried? Or have you tried both?

I've got a possible bug I think, or mayby someone could help. It seem after I loaded this rom Activesync will not stay synced. I disconnects from time to time and I have to reseat the device to get it to reconnect. I did not have this problem with my Mun Rom. Can someone confirm or help?
Thanks
See if you have any kind of power saving which relates to your usb, on your PC.
Also, check if you have any kind of software installed in your pda that tries to access the internet when the pda is docked.
I don't know if you have the latest version of ActiveSync. If not, upgrade it.
I hope you'll find the solution for this problem.

If could be possible to solve 2 things in the next edition:
1. the mms problem, users are not able to configure mms options
2. (this one is personal) if it could be cooked with the original HTC and WM6startup logo (and leaving the original green today themes, dialer and comm manager)

2. It's almost impolite to ask something like that man! The cookers deserve to put their fingerprint in the roms they cook, don't you think so?
Think again about your request, and you'll find that it's not reasonable...;)

Agree to that! Did not want to offend! All my respects are for the cooks!
What I wanted to say is that it could be possible to leave the HTC white boot screen and put the logo or the name somewhere on the same screen, center, corner, whatever.
Sorry again!

it is only a start up logo, you only see it on a reset, once it has 'booted' you don't see it again (I presume not having flashed this ROM yet - I am waiting for v3.3.1).

Great Rom! Thanks.
I found few bugs:
1. smart dial does not work.
2. not working smoothly(auto stop playing and start playing again) when using bluetooth to listen music.
Few comments:
1. can you delete Windows's games.
2. delete Audio Manager, people may install it in storage card
I was using UK Lite's Rom, found it was little smoother than this Rom.
Other things are all O.K to me sp far.

Hi there,
Deleting the games is not that improvement....the space they occupy is negligible...
The Audio Manager will be removed in the next release.
I'll make it available after I finish testing...hopefully today or tomorrow ;)

No, Windows Media Player Mobile plays Windows Media Audio (.WMA), Windows Media Video (.WMV), Waveform Audio Format (.WAV), and MPEG-1 Audio Layer 3 (.MP3) and some .3GP and .3G2 if encoded with compatible video/audio codecs.
Streaming is offered by Windows Media Player (PC version).
For streaming videos on your device, use Streaming Media or TCPMP.

So far I think it's almost perfect. My only problem is I have a Mail folder that keeps showing up on my Storage Card. Can you tell me why it keeps showing up even after I delete it or now to fix. Other than that this ROM is the best I have ever tried. I have been waiting for a basic rom like this for a year and a half now. I don't know why someone didn't do this before. Now it like I'm at Burger King... I can finely have it my way:D

Hi,
You should have not only a folder called "mail", but as well a folder called "cacheie".
The reason for that, is that to avoid filling your storage with your messages and internet cookies, they are now stored in the memory card ;)
If you don't like, and prefer to have it stored inside the device storage (which I don't advise because you'll be filling useful space with it), then you can change it with sktools (for example).

Ok.... Then the rom is perfect. I use webmail so I will change the mail dump (which is fine with me... just wondering) and the internet cache is something I will be changing as well but i do see your point. I do extensive internet surfing and I have found that if I leave the cache in the divice instead of the storage card that IE works faster for me although I have to use memmaid more often but it's a tradeoff that works for me. As stated I think this rom is perfect for me... NICE WORK!!!:D hope this helps.

I'm curious, what do you store on the internal memory? apps only?
feedback:
Backlight settings are... weird, first, you cannot control using the D-Pad, second, there are 3 tabs: '1 min | 10 sec | 30 sec', one word: weird.
Comm Manager: can't control using D-Pad too
mms separated from sms = bad ( personal )
dialer and smart dialing still ugly =P ( personal )
(both backlight.exe and smart dialing came from other device right?)
Everything else's fine(functionality-wise), I guess.

Hello,hellonasty ,s1rl4ncel0t
I would like to add from my experience with Mary 3.3.1.I also used Mary 3.2
I started my Trinity like most with the WM5, moved to WM5 GPS. The WM5 ROM was good, stable and functioned well. The down side was slow and limited compared to WM6 and the cooked ROMS found here. I have tried i would guess every WM6 ROM available. I settled on the ANZ WM6 modified and was quite happy with this ROM. The speed was much improved over WM5. Then the 1933 build came out and i had to check on it. I started the UDK 6.1feR1 good ROM, then i loaded the UDK6.1leR1 and was impressed with speed and stable. I was waiting for Mary 3.3.1 to be released. When it was released i loaded immediately. I will now share my experience.
First the ROM is excellent, the loading process was fine no problems. I will cover the Radio first. I set the ROM up with Radio 1.50 series and signal strength was about 84% MA draw 3 clicks down on the screen, font one click up from center was around 85 settled. CPU draw was normal for my system.The signal strength was down a little so i changed to radio 1.46.30 signal strength was now 100%. I know there is discussion about radio but for my experience it seems the radio performs different with different roms. UDK runs the same with either radio so i run the 1.50 series to me quicker wifi and GPRS same for calls and signal. This is the inital check then i test for dropprd calls and such things. Anyway it seemed to me this ROM prefered radio 1.46.30 which is a fine Radio. Next check is i have about 1 gig on my storage card so i start from the top running the scroll bar to the bottom and see what happens. WM5 would actually lock up and require soft reset. ANZ WM6 would stumble but not lock up, Mary did a stumble but did not lock up, UDK there is no stumble. Next check i use ZphoneDialer/today skin pack.Mary would not process the screen pack but would give me only a black screen with black bars. When i would hit the phone button you could see hesitation in loading the dialer. When i would go out of the dialer the screen would be very lazy to clear. UDK does none of this, complete dialer and screen, quick on and quick off. I use RTI modified as my clock and calendar, Battery status and claunch on the screen. Mary would load about a third at a time very quick, UDK loads the page as one unit just bang it is there. My cpu usage was high with Mary on inital load of the screen so i modified Battery status and RTI refresh to bring this down all worked fine, the ROM liked the slower refresh which is what i expected. I could go on and on but the bottom line is;
Two excellent very quick ROMS. How to choose, either one performs excellent. For me i went with UDK because it works well with my phone and setup.Excellent on battery and memory drain. Both were great ......My opinion is the two top ROMS of the day.
Bugs?? Nothing really big enough to talk about.
Programs; Most like everyone else uses.HTC programs, RESCO explorer and keyboard,Sprite backup,Kaiser plugs,RTI heavy modified, battery status etc.
I didnt really want to compare this ROM aganist another ROM but how else would you do it? When you say the ROM is fast or stable ot battery drain or memory etc. all this is compared aganist WHAT. Running numbers on a ROM is an indication how the ROM should perform but there are so many variables i think it comes down to a person using the ROM with the personal programs and phone to judge the final outcome.

I must say it: '':) Great Job Guys :) '', developers and users working hand to hand live to create the best ROM ever...i'm really impressed...BRAVO!!! you're ROM is fantastic but i'm having couple issues with it. First : When i'm connected with active sync, i can't connect the internet...i'm using SPB Weather and each time i try to load data info, it doesn't works...( used to work before) i tried to find the ''usb to PC'' without success...And Second: if i well remember, i was unable to retrieve mail from Yahoo(thru the messaging program) again when connected to active sync but it's happened with others ROM as well. Any idea...? Thanks again for your hard work Guys!!!

It is an option under the today screen options, i.e. date, owner etc etc, that is where I saw it.
The reason why I commented about the customer feedback option is that it is a microsoft thing and I know full well that any responses to this probably just go in a circular filing cabinet (you know what I mean!!) so there isn't really any point of having it....but then it is just my gripe with MS.
Other than those 2 things, I have installed a variety of apps and all seems well...still very stable and fast. Great work guys, well done.

UDK runs the same with either radio so i run the 1.50 series to me quicker wifi and GPRS same for calls and signal. This is the inital check then i test for dropprd calls and such things. Anyway it seemed to me this ROM prefered radio 1.46.30 which is a fine Radio. Next check is i have about 1 gig on my storage card so i start from the top running the scroll bar to the bottom and see what happens. WM5 would actually lock up and require soft reset. ANZ WM6 would stumble but not lock up, Mary did a stumble but did not lock up, UDK there is no stumble. Next check i use ZphoneDialer/today skin pack.Mary would not process the screen pack but would give me only a black screen with black bars. When i would hit the phone button you could see hesitation in loading the dialer. When i would go out of the dialer the screen would be very lazy to clear. UDK does none of this, complete dialer and screen, quick on and quick off. I use RTI modified as my clock and calendar, Battery status and claunch on the screen. Mary would load about a third at a time very quick, UDK loads the page as one unit just bang it is there. My cpu usage was high with Mary on inital load of the screen so i modified Battery status and RTI refresh to bring this down all worked fine, the ROM liked the slower refresh which is what i expected. I could go on and on but the bottom line is;
Two excellent very quick ROMS.
First, let me express my gratitude for such a good feedback. Honestly, it was very good ;)
Regarding your observations, I'll try to comment each one of them. If I leave any behind, please let me know.
1- Radio: it would be a long discussion...however, I must tell you that I've tested this rom with all available radio roms, and they all worked more or less the same. However, in my case the best was 1.50, the second best was 1.46.00.11 and the worst was the 1.46.30. It seems that in your case, it was the other way around. Therefore, I won't spend more time discussing this...there are too many factors in stake...
2-ZphoneDialer/today skin pack: from the symptoms you described, I would dare to say that they are caused because you haven't installed JAVA in the device. Try to download it from our first page, and check it out please.
This is to all who read this post: OUR ROMS DON'T HAVE JAVA INSTALLED IN THEM!!!...IF YOU HAVE SOFTWARE THAT IT'S NOT WORKING, PLEASE CONSIDER DOWNLOADING JAVA FROM OUR FIRST PAGE AND INSTALL IT!
3- Performance: This rom was released without any tweaks. It's in the same shape as the mother gave birth to it :D
I would advise ALL to install sktools and make some tweaks. The differences are huge!
If this rom is this fast without tweaks...imagine after tweaking it... :D
Anyway, in our next release we'll try to put some tweaks inside, but the idea was to release it original, so that there would be less issues with 3rd party softwares.
It's up to you....tweak or not to tweak...that's the Question!
I must say it: '' Great Job Guys '', developers and users working hand to hand live to create the best ROM ever...i'm really impressed...BRAVO!!! you're ROM is fantastic but i'm having couple issues with it.
Sorry to tell you this, but SPB weather is working fine here. It was extensively tested, without any issues what so ever... Have a look on your activesync settings. I'm sure it's something about the PC...Try also to connect via wireless and check if it's working.
Thank you for your feedback!
the picture which u send to the other part is reversed like in the first realeases of WM6 by mun_rus and lsvw...
Hi Waltery,
Please have a look on your Phone Settings. It could be that you have something misconfigured...I'll try as well again a video call to see if that happens here as well.
Thank you!
Has already reported the Back light settings is totally screwed up
Regarding customer feedback still inside the ROM... where???? cannot find it
Regarding HTC Homeplug, when s1rl4ancel0t said it was not in the ROM I think he was refering to the HTC HOME plugin. RIGHT?
because homeplug is still inside
MMS and SMS in different inbox for me is better
You really cannot please everyone, even if the ROM is so naked. LOL LOL
What can I tell you, besides: Thank you very much for your support. You've been extremely helpful!
Thank you.
This is how things should be: USERS and COOKERS working together to build the perfect rom and the perfect support :D
In what concerns the backlight settings tab, I'll have a second look at it. The way it's supposed to work, is that the backlight duration should depend on how long you're using the device...
But I'll double-check if that function is working correctly....
Again: thank you all for your comments!

I wasn't trying to be pushy, I am liking my trinity at the mo with 3.3.1...in fact so much so that my wife thinks I am obsessed.....oh dear boys and toys!!
There doesn't seem to be any feedback to say that any bugs have been discovered in 3.3.1 so you guys can probably enjoy a trinity free weekend....have a good one....and remember that we all appreciate your fantastic work!

It's amazing...there were already aprox. 400 dowloads of this new release 3.3.1 (in one day = 3 downloads per minute) and the few feedback has been good.
This means that the rom is working very well :D
Feedback is good, but we tend to give feedback only when there are problems...otherwise users say nothing... :(
So, I hope that this lack of feedback is due to the reason that the rom is working perfectly in every device :D

hate to spoil the fun, but there is a few very annoying bugs in the 3.3.1
1. Recent programs list disappears after each soft reset
2. WLAN settings and e-mail accounts disappear after soft reset as well (haven't seen this issue addressed by any cookers yet even though there's no such bug in the original P3600i WM6 ROM)
hope there is answers to the above.

it take me a while to figure out the bottons, speed dial get ok in button nr 1 but because i want the botton nr2 for camera it took me a while to put it there.
And when a put settings to camera my Storage card was renamed to Storagecard2:rolleyes: and when i pick that and closed the setup it was back to main memory!! I take a look with file explorer and discovered that the was a file inside with the name Storagecard? with some files inside? I delete that Storagecard file and then i make the camera set up and i could pick the storagecard for picture memory:)

Hello guys.
First of all I´d like to say thank you and congrats for this great rom,it is great....and...the team (hellonasty & s1rl4ncel0t) is also really good.
You are giving a very nice support and all the cabs and links are great,I just love it.
Reagarding mndgz´s problems,I am not experiencing any of the above,I´ve counting the icons in my programs menu over and over and after several soft-reset and they all remain there.
As for the dissapearing wifi and email accounts try this:
[!] For prevent password and account dissapearing u should (you should make this procedure immidiatly after first soft reset ):
1. Set up your connection settings
2. Open IExplorer / Set up Ineternet connection / Open some internet page
3. Click Disconnect button to close internet connection
4. Hold power button and turn off your phone
5. Power on your phone.
After that procedure your password wont dissapear. I think that you should repeat the same for mail account (set up mail account / try to send or recieve your mail / hold disconnect button / turn off your phone)
I hope I helped you out.
See ya.

Hello,
I've just flashed this (well, it's been a couple of hours) and I must say, from what I've seen this ROM is fabulous! The idea itself is very, very good: have an (extremely, if I may) naked ROM then let everyone personalize it to their own taste and liking. Well, that's just the way it should be!
The ROM is very fast and, even though I didn't play with it extensively, seems very, very stable. The only bug I've encountered so far is already mentioned here. Yes, I'm talking about the one involving the backlight settings. Do you think that can be solved by some tweaks or do we need to wait for another ROM? Frankly, I don't want another one, I just want to dig in and customize this lil' black beauty that I have sitting in front of me right now, 'cause "me fingers 're very itchy, mate". :D
All in all, a very nicely done job, can't congratulate you enough, dear ROM cookers.

That's because startclean deletes internet explorer cache files(cacheie folder), whenever you start internet explorer after the StartClean runs you'll have that small delay while PIE recreated the cacheie folder(having it stored by default on the miniSD may increase that delay).

Hello
On the Radio, I agree. I have also thought maybe it depends on where you are. I happen to be in the Middle East.
On the Zphone, You are correct, I did not load Java.
On Performance, I did not do one tweak. You know after you load and play with so many Roms you have your favorite tweaks you just do automatically but in this case i ran the ROM straight just like i received it.
I read some of the problems people are having and i believe they are all true for one reason or another but for myself i didn't have those type problems.

You're not spoiling any fun. As a matter of fact, your question is a good question, however, if I may say so, your observations are not bugs.
Let me explain:
This rom, has a program inside called "Clean Startup". What it does, is that when you reset your device, it cleans all the junk inside. Within the junk, is the list of "most used applications" that you see on your start menu.
If you don't want this to happen, then go to folder /Windows/Startup and delete the shortcut "Start Clean".
Doing this, when you restart your device, he will keep everything. On the other hand side, I would advise you to install sktools and run the clean module inside once and a while, so that your device doesn't become overloaded with trash (cookies, temporary files, etc...).
It what concerns the WLAN, then, please follow the instructions of dta1974 and omaga.
Unfortunetaly, this bug hasn't been addressed by Microsoft yet.
You will find it in every rom...
Thank you, and enjoy the new ROM.

Hi Omaga,
Please do the following: first pass your contacts from the SIM to your device. Then restart the device, and only after choose the ring tones per contact.
Regarding the Storage card...I've tried to reproduce your error in every way...but I couldn't identify it on my device...everything worked fine...
Could it be that that folder already existed inside your card from previous roms?...

Hi,
I think that when s1rl4ncel0t refer about the tweaks he was referring to tweaks already inside UdK ROM, not tweaks you might done it.
So if you do the same tweaks then maybe this ROM will be faster. At least in theory.

Well you're right. But let me explain why I found this very strange in the first place.
I'm using dualsim card, and my "main" card is empty, but I do not know why or how, when ur using smart dial options, it can read the contacts inside the "disable" sim card:confused:  .

Unfortunately, it's normal...smart dialing always reads the contacts from all SIMS...
There should be an option to avoid smartdialing from readings the contats on SIM cards...

" Yeah, this backlight issue is being a pain in the ass...We are working on it..."
You only need to replace that backlight.exe.( nothing new, I know )
I'm making a few modifications to this(3.3.1) rom and the attached backlight.exe works nice, d-pad navigation, correct tab names, replaced the icons.

In that case, try to first disable the plug-in and press ok.
Then change the them, pressing ok at the ned.
Now, activate the plugin.
It should work now...if not, then consider using another theme...

Very good indeed. Has to be the fastest ROM I've tried to date on the Trinity. Only come across one small insignificant bug which has already been mentioned. Very stable and unlike other Roms recently released I've not had to soft reset the phone once.

WOW!!!!
Please read the first post of this thread carefully...the answer is there..."Search and you shall find..."
"Changelog 3.3.1SL (01.11.2007):
-Complete clean ROM! Even more naked !!!!!!
-Even faster than previous release
-Working Smart Dialing
-Configurable MMS
-Colors and themes now corrected
-Windows Media Player, now fully functional
-Removed some useless files and folders (Battery Status Folder still inside...to be corrected on a previous release. If you install Battery Status-see link bellow-then the software will use that folder, so, only for those who don't install this application, this folder would be useless. Anyway, I suggest you install it)
-Smother speed
-Other small optimizations
-To enable the "H" icon for HSDPA, please install Schap's Advanced Config Tool (find the link bellow). However, even if you don't see the icon, HSDPA will be enabled if you activate it in Connections Settings."
Install Schap's Advance Config (you can download it from our first page as well) and activate HSDPA.

I reflashed the rom again and when i look now in the files in my device there is a file named Storage Card! that file must be in the rom. When i now put in my sd card it became Storage card2
Now if i go to camera settings and select Storage card2 for my memory and click ok and start the camera the default memory is the mainmemory:rolleyes: so the only thing i must do if i want to use the sd-card as memory is delete the file Storage card in my device, then its ok:D

Okay, two more bugs:
I copied the new Backlight.exe to \Windows (overwriting the existing one). Now I can't access the backlight settings.
There is a \Storage Card folder already existing in the ROM, so the actual storage card is renamed to Storage Card2. Can't really delete \Storage Card because it contains (amongs other things) messages and IE cache, so trying to delete it gives a sharing violation error.Update: deleting \Storage Card from the device actually works. Reinserting the actual storage card does the trick. :D

Hi there,
1- How did you replace the file, as the existing one cannot be erased because it's inside the rom?
2- I guess that the reason for this, is because the rom was assembled for having the cookies, messages, etc..., stored in the SD Card. As when you flash without the card, then this setting forces the rom to create a virtual folder to put the trash inside...
If you flash the rom with the sdcard inside, this won't happen ;) .
There's no risk, I've tested flashing with the card, and everything went ok.
Thankx for your support!

Go to windows folder, and check how many Backlight.exe you have inside. If you have 2, only one can be erased...that would be the one you copied inside...
If this doesn't work..I'm afraid you'll have to do a hard-reset to the device... :(

Weird thing happened, but I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the rom itself.
I received an sms, opened messaging, viewed it, and when I tried to open messaging again nothing happened! I made a hard-reset and messaging was still M.I.A, didn't try to send a message to myself, but then I flashed the rom again and the problem persisted! I mean, lol? what the hell happened?
I'm now flashing bepe's 0.79 will update when it finishes
edit: alrighty, all's fine now lol, weird.
About that previous backlight.exe, I think I've uploaded the wrong one :X here's a working one, compressed too.

Here goes my little contribution:
So far everything is working smooth. Just the backlight settings seem to be messed up(i tried the Backlight.exe from Apoc, and tried Backlight.exe and Backlight.exe.0409.mui from another rom but with no success).
About Comm manager - the D-pad works with it, the problem is that some pics are missing (P_Button_Down.png and P_Button_Focus.png), so when using the D-Pad you can't see which button is selected.
I love the fact that you went back to the default dialer and one thing that i really love, is the SMS separated from MMS.
I have just gone in to see where I saw the customer feedback.....ha ha ha ha ha and I can't find it!! Now before anybody says anything, it was there after I had flashed it with 3.3.1 last night......most odd!! Could it have 'disappeared' after a reset??
You could find it in Start->Settings-> System tab, but after a SR i can't seem to find it anymore...:D

I'm trying to make individual cabs for the office apps(by editing the Microsoft_Office_Mobile_6.1.cab), but i'm having some issues:
1 - If you install one application and then try to install another(for example first install Word Mobile, and the Excel Mobile), the installer gives the message - "The previous version of Microsoft Office 2007 will be removed before the new one is installed" - then we select ok, it try's to uninstall without success.
2 - So when we go to Start->Programs we have 2 folders - Mobile Office(with Word Mobile), and Mobile Office (1) (with Excel Mobile).
So, i came up with some solutions:
1 - Have one first cab with the comon files and reg entry's, and the individual cabs for each application (in this case you always need to install at least 2 cabs);
2 - One thing i haven't tried yet is to change the name of the cab(in the cab's properties), so maybe this will avoid appearing the message when trying to install the second app, but i don't know if will solve the duplicate folders in Start->Programs...
So, i guess i'm gonna make some more tests. If i'm successfull, i'll post the individual cabs here.

Those ARE AWESOME news!!!!
If the only bug is having separate folders...then it's easy...we just need to put all shortcuts in one folder and that's it!
That's the same it happened to me when in others cookers roms I had to install the One Note cab (which is the only one I have separate) because they left it out, to save space...
At the end, it's just a matter of making copy/paste of the shortcuts all into one folder, and deleting the other folders which are left empty.
In /Windows/Start Menu there are 2 folders as we all know: Programs and Settings. Everything that is outside those two folders will show up in the fixed Start menu list....

edited my post since you read it, flashed bepe's 0.79 and it got ok, and I already had flashed 3.3.1 once more but the problem persisted which is super weird, haven't gone back to 3.3.1 to test it again though.
(the previously attached backlight.exe has been updated too)
update: figured out why the messaging didn't start, the mail storage is on the external 4gb miniSD, the mail directory got corrupted, Messaging tried to read it w/out success and refused to start, bepe's rom uses main storage that's why it worked ok as soon as I flashed it.
Guessing support for 4GB MiniSD cards isn't yet 100% reliable, but it's weird nevertheless, only cacheie and Mail got corrupted/whatevered, everything else's fine, lol.

I believe if you turn your Trinity on without your Mini SD Card, the ROM automatically creates a folder called "Storage Card", then while it is already booted and you slip in your Mini SD Card, since that name already exists, the ROM automatically renames your Storage Card to Storage Card2...
What I've done to avoid this is I manually delete the "Storage Card" folder, make sure it is NOT the files that are actually on your Storage Card, keep the MicroSD card in the trinity, power down the unit, and then back on with SD Card already inserted. You shouldn't get the duplicate name, and now you can set your Camera Pics/Videos to save onto your actual Storage Card...
Hope I didn't confuse anyone and that this helps...

Regarding the Storage card...I've tried to reproduce your error in every way...but I couldn't identify it on my device...everything worked fine...
Could it be that that folder already existed inside your card from previous roms?...
I believe to reproduce this error, if you boot your trinity without your MiniSD Card installed and then insert card after Trinity is on, you will see Storage Card and Storage Card2 in File Explorer...
See my previous post for additional information...

I just delete the storage card folder and then it works, or you can avoid that to keep the sd-card in your device when you flash the rom.
This thing have never happend with another rom i flashed, because i allways take out the card from my device..just in case.
But that is not so big deal now when everything is working by delete the "s-card" file:)

Done it!!
I have changed the info inside the cabs, so every cab you install, will have it's own name, and that makes it easier to identify in case you need to uninstall.
Also managed to solve the duplicate office folders in Start->Programs (thanks to a good friend's tip).
NOTE:
Zipped the files so i could upload them here ;)
Inside each zip file you'll find the corresponding cab.
