He is making 2 other roms .. one in dutch and one in german .. that means there will be 3 roms !

You could make a french rom for our gentle frenchies and here is the link for the HTC backup rom (it's what I use as base rom .. so it is a working rom :) ).

First go to:

HKLM\Software\HTC\Biotouch\MediaHubMini\

in there you find 3 folder's:

App1_1 == Music
App1_2 == Pictures
App1_3 == Videos

Since I have no problems with the settings for music, and i don't use the video's that much
i will only explain here for the app1_2 folder, but i works exactly the same for all three

enter the App1_2 folder in wich you will find an entry called Path and a entry called Param

For this on you only need to change the Param setting in which the default location is saved

change the param setting to "-directory:\Storage Card\DCIM\100MEDIA\" without the quotes ofcourse

softreset and you are done...

played around with all the SIP..and finally decided to use PCM Keyboard.
However it seems that whenever I open PCM Keyboard now the HTC Touchpad xT9 automatically is activated.

Nope, You can only get the updat if you install everything again.

The bug in home plug coused the device to freeze at third bootscreen after a couple of soft resets.

It's now fixed

Endkey is not in the rom becouse it's a rather unusefull prog. Actionscreen is in the rom located in the programs menu.

All the app of the touch dual are in.
And for x-button, youre right that its currently at ver 2.0, but there are many bugs in it. So to make a fully working rom i chose 1.5

I found a little bug,

and i am thinking it might be something with this ROM..

When i use CMkeyboard...
in some area's when i type something, it just fills in blank, as if i was pressing spacebar..

i thought it was the CM version (0.11b)
so i installed 0.10, because on my original ROM i did not have that problem.

But the problem is still there...

Any idea what this could be?

p.s. i noticed that even when i use the CM keyboard that in the top bar it keeps showing t9 and abc.

p.p.s. 2 field that i found the bug is:
config file for s2u2
device owner info, the address field, other fields are fine

Think so, i've been busy for 2 days on one stupid(but big) thing.
The start menu folder in windows is in the german version Startmenu with a dublle dot on the U, if i want to place programs into that menu, the system dont cocognise that symbol and places a square, so that will be startmen(square)
it cant be fixed, and if so, somebody tip me!

The older version has memory hog problem as well as the playlist is not sorted according to audio track numbering, and some other hanging up issues. Build 706.716 is a lot more stable.

Nope otherwise Ofiice would ben in the included apps list. Office will be in the 1.1 version. 1.01 was just a minor update.

In initflashfiles.dat When i flash the rom all the programs are placed in Folder startmen(square) so the don't show up in the programs folder

I am having some problems with the WWE 1.01 version :( After softreset the weather part of the HTC Home plugin is dead and wont come back. And some strange thing happens at random:

Sometimes a little Abc icon appears in the top bar next to the [G] Icon, whenever that happens, the left softkey on the todayscreen changes to "Notification" but when tapped nothing happens, this will stay that way until next softreset.

For all the other stuff :) Great work!

So this is a new ROM for the Touch, I understand it, but if I update my ROM maybe I will lose my garantee from my PDA, I realy don't want it if it not safe. So if someone tried it please tell me. I have a hungarian edition and I would like to use english I don't know, this is compatible with my edition or not bytheway which is the good version for me, I can download 2 copy.

as far as i noticed now it bugs me in:

only way for me to type an email now is to open the dual keyboard, hit the abc button, and change back to CMkeyboard.

Maybe if you would mail HTC that after we peeps took a raw dump of their new device that wasn't even out yet with halffinished Software in 1 case. And we then duct taped it all together with any references in registry files we could find. Maybe they will fix it in their final releases. And someone will propably extract it from that as well. But at the moment there isn't a lot of fixing to be done on the Album. Even the folders it looks at are two default folders for ELF that can be changed in the registry for the Camera settings.

after installing officemobile 6.1 and adobe acrobat reader2.0 and custom calc skin plus Slide2Unlock (which is everything that was missing that I used) this ROM is really responsive. So far I have had Zero issues and it is super responsive. Im impressed. Also After a full day at the office I still have over 70% battery life left.....

It will work on your chinese touch, but you need to perform a uspl first.

Look @ the first post to Readme, follow the link provided and do the uspl.

In the rush of releasing the dutch variant as soon as possible i forgot to edit the old build numbers.
The roms build is the build number from the first post, but with porting the dutch language to the rom i obviously copied this build number also.
Will be changed in the next build.

Stability, speed, good look in that order of priority of a good ROM, IMHO.

This rom is not based on the newest Build or whatever just like Pdaviet's rom, But it's based on the rom wich i had the most stability with.
A newer buold will not immediatly mean that its more stable, faster, better than an old rom. Particulairy the pdaviet, becouse they port the os from anther device. I don't say that that roms are not good or whatever, i love their work, but my rom is especially for the HTC Touch.

From the reactions on my rom i can tell you this:

Stability: Reactions are good with this, thusfar no freeze of hangups.
Speed: It's not the fastest rom around but, its quite fast even without overclocking(Running my rom for 3 days now, no soft reset and no overclock)
Good look: Haha, i've designed it myself, and i liked it. Some others did ask for the tsk's and the home plug design, so i think it's good.

I know the problem, it's only in the dutch version, after sometime playing with the rom, the keyboard does work, so be patient, haha. In the next release(s) the htc keyboard will be out untill it's totally bugfree and all. Or if htc releases the official software(theyre planning to do so).

Jup with activesync it's connected to your computer and it can go in internet via the computer. So wifi is not needed then.

There's one in my signature but that's just the OS (Big Storage), there's also a full version of that around. So odn't worry if you get in trouble.

Bram you probaply now this but the design is just great it's one of the slickests i've seen.
But one downside is it's incompatibility with some other .TSK's the top bar becomes unreadable. But personally i would rather stick with your sustom Theme.

It's a very safe and stable Rom for a regular user that's new to flashing and just needs a working rom with some nice new goodies. Memory leaks are not as big as on mine.
And check out the skinable calculator version.

Yes Cooking Roms is using a lot of material that others have created.
Heck even i'm using Bram's Touch Icons for the profile tab and that probaply made him a bit mad and maybe not. But i think we are beyond that. Every cook tries to make his (or her, but i'm still waiting for a female cook) special or different. And if your friend is building a rom he'll probaply get more attention for it.

Heck even if you make a rom that's default and ask regular users if they would like custom graphics on it they offer assistance.

And for your problems with finding Rusian version you have to see it this way. The developers up in the very first threads have knowledgde of modifying exe and mui files based on what cooks experience using their tools. And cooks Modify their roms based on the users of their roms using the tools the developers made. We would all love to help with getting you Rusian versions of software that doesn't support it but a lot of us simply don't know how. Because we are allready learning more and more by the day and i think that goes for most cooks. So don't take it personal, you can't directly get sollutions for your problems. But see it as encouragement in finding stuff out. And believe you if you search hard enough the sollution is probaply allready somewhere on XDA.

So download the core kitchen for all the extra tools that come along with it. Try modifying the exe files with reshack and find out how to re-sign the exe files again so they get accepted by the rom. Throw the files in Notepad Winhex or whatever you can find and maybe you find the anwser inside the files.

Great ROM, but a bit disappointed cause I was hoping the Cyberon Voice app was not in it. I like to use my preferred Voice app: Microsoft Voice Command, but that's not working with the Cyberon built in...:-(

1. Audio Manager cannot launch Player (bug?? Anyone getting this??)
2. How to turn-off T9. (I'm so sorry but it's very annoying when typing)
3. How-to change font in Comm Manager. (it's kinda hard to read + small)
4. Could you please put the network wizard?
5. I did get some hang after soft-reset few times (struck on HTC Dual screen page) any idea?

The Touch dual keyboard is in this rom.

I installed this keyboard at a old rom made by seksona and i have the problem it always starts with t9. Hate this:P And when i typing the name of the contact it won't show alternatives which is really frustrating.

Can you conform this is gone at your rom?

I am using your rom WWE 1.01 which I like alot.

Unfortanately occasionally it hangs at the HTC Touch Dual bootscreen. Only the screen reacts when it dims but other than that nothing happens. Also the green led doesn't flash. :confused:

I am using the radio rom 02.97.90.

The only solution that I have is to hard reset my touch, which is a pain since I have to install all my programs, contacts and appointments again.

Nope, It does'nt include.
I find that an app that is used 1 time in a rom is a waste of memory.
You can easily add the correct settings for t-mobile with this method:

01. Kies in het beginscherm voor Opstarten
02. Kies Instellingen

Jup you'll have to do the uspl again, becouse in the original version are spl and ipl included. So the patched ones are overwritten.

Since you've flashed the dual 1.01, have you updated to another rom?
if not, it's safe to flash to the 2.01 rom, becouse it has no spl in it.

IF you want to have an spl( for warranty, etc) it can be found on the first post under download, spl. this is an spl only rom.

simply u can check if you have the USPL or the SPL by flashing:

USPL, flash works
SPL, flash don't work

Now I've got an SPL of 1.11.0000 or so, but the IPL is version 2.

Does it make any difference? (What's IPL for instance)

I first did the ELF_USPL , I coppied the rom 2.01 into the folder RUU.
Step 3/3 faild, I just started RUU in the folder and it's working!

Sorry if I missed something, but is this only for GSM devices or will this ROM work with the new Sprint touch (CDMA) that just came out.

ALso, if it doesn't work (which I suspect that it will not, is there a way to get that splashscreen and the dark "theme" for the sprint version? I like that design (the drawings in the background and the splashscreeen).

If anyone could post a link I'd be grateful!

Some suggestion for the Problem with the german "ü".
Are you sure your ü had the right encoding (maybe it was UTF-8 but you needed ISO-8859-1(5) or the other way around?).

I have used quite some english roms on my neo all of them being perfectly able of handling german "Umlauts" so i can't imagine this is a system-related problem.

Flashed the 2.01 WWE version just now, and so far its a nightmare :( I got it to boot once, but when I tried syncing it everything locked up and now it wont boot at all... just showing the Touch Dual splash screen.

I find the HTC Keyboard/Keypad a true wast of space though. It actualy takes me longer to type on them, than get the stylus out and write on the default keyboard.

For now, back to something that works as I do use my Touch for everything :)

matthew232: use the artemis splashscreen changer (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=317726). Install .NET framework and CID unlock first. You can then use any custom image as splashscreen, either from the net or ur own design, as long as it is 240x320 png, jpg or bmp

Hmmm... I havent got any problems sofar, and no-one has the same problems as this. Have you tried flashing from bootloader?

If i know were the problem persists, i can do something about it.

I deleted the files from the rom exept for ring-windows, but somehow the entry's are still in the dialog box.
Fixed it! Next rom they will be out!

I think, 6MB PagePool is great for Elf, but I cant do it. Try to change your ROM's pagepool, if it will work.In my own ROM, based on 2.20.707.1B it doesnt work. After softreset its RAM is about 20MB

When pressing the power button to put the touhc in standby modus. it won't work. Press it again and it suddenly works.

Second bug:
At startup the profile is set to vibrate.
When checking out the profile tab you can see that the vibrate option isn't selected...

Third bug:
In live messenger when you talk to someone in a conversation and hide the dual keyboard to see the messages that are typt in the conv.
And when you unhide the keyboard it will be back in the t9 modus. Doesn't happen in sms mode.

Hope you can fix them:)

Good thing is that it should have no effect to rom if the files are not on SD.

Always try to make a back up of any ringtone you can find in a rom to Storage Card\My Documents\My Ringtones\

As the Phone settings also look in this folder for Rings ;)
At least i thought so.

I would not advise this.. In a new ROM, do a synch with your outlook on pc, do not place back anything with a backup. I've had several hangs after I replaced backups previously, and non when doing a synchronisation...

Eventually we all upgrade to newer Roms and Using Some Backup Apps won't work. It's a bitch but it's also hoping some off the apps are have the latest bugfixes.
just a few questions, are you using the 3tab home screen for this? and the camera album application, can it work using pictures from the memory card instead of the phone memory? i have tried using that application but it wont show pictures that i have in my memory card.... thanks and awesome work!! cant wait to download and use it! ill be giving you feedback asap! :D

1. Find The original Full Stock Rom for your device ipl/spl/radio/extr_rom/os the whole deal.
2. Forget USPL for now.
3. Remove Simcard and SD card from phone.
4. Press Reset Button with Stylus, then press and hold Camera Button (do this allready connected to USB and PC.
5. Start flashing when you have tricolour bootloader screen.

If you can get into bootloader your phone isn't dead.

Touch has a bad processor but the rom chip rocks.

Found another point:
I want to remove the 6th tab. The one with the contacts, but I cannot remove it. Not with HTC home customizer and with Advance Configuration it also doesn't work.


But I'm still extremely happy with this trom. Like a little child:D


Another thing that caught my attention is the background image in the today screen. The quality is bad in comparison when you open up the image in the new htc album. Better colours and much sharper. What could be the problem of this?:confused:

This might be a stupid question but what do you mean with "Flash from bootloader"? Do you mean I have to flash my HTC Touch again with the ROM you've provided?

I've used the ELF USPL in which your ROM was placed in the RUU directory to flash my HTC Touch. But After the flashing is finished, I've discovered that the free memory which the device has left is only about 8 MB. Don't really know what's happen with My device.

Would you please explain it a little more specific

Thnx for testing and reporting, I'll search for the problems that you have, but that's getting resal hard becouse i dont have that probems on my touch.

it seems that the problems come up randomly. I've not noticed all those problems you mentioned.

But i have 1 time encountered the problem with the third boot that hangs. I think it has to do with the homeplug that i'm using.
I'm gonna flash my rom without the homeplug and see if the problem persists.
I'm gonna replace the homescreen with another one bcouse this one is not editable...

There is a dutch version available in first post, but it is version 1.01.
You'll have to wait for a dutch 2.01 becouse there are to much problems with this rom.
If all the bugs are fixed, then i'll look at the localisations.
