HTC album(no cab yet!)

I'm posting here so everyone can discuss their tries and possible solutions to get this boy to work on our prophets.

I'm using prophet touch VIII and as I start the app it just shuts down. I'm guessing not having the new htc camera botches this one... but if we install the camera then battery consumption will go up the roof.

So, anyone got any ideas to share?

does it actually start before it closes down? when I start the exe the waiting cursor pops up and vanishes... and that's it.

It does the same thing as yours on both cabs

there seams to be a problem with the coredll.dll that is not the same on prophet and the devices the Album is working on... so we need to patch the album to make it work.
It starts to load but it's wanting to start something that is missing so it's not there so it just closes again... it will not help to install the camera 4.11 sorry

so it's worst the i thought... no missing dll no missing reg key, coding needed...
I suppose you're all over this one now right? any ideia how long it will get for you to work your magic?

maybe prophet touch X will have it but who knows there might be a breaktrough tonight :) I'm shure I'm not the onlyone trying to get it to work on prophet so maybe someone else comes up with the solution and shares it with us

I think we all just have to wait. Someone will, as always, figure it out at last.

If I had the time to work into programming and stuff I'd love to figure it out myself, but I fear I am lightyears away from being that good...

something is wrong with my s200 running on Touch7,it doesn't show picture from sd card,even when I have changed My pictures to _My pictures in My documents on SD card?!:confused:
Can anybody tell me where I go wrong?

works perfect on my jamin. donno if anyone noticed but it slowed my device a little, even the touch scroll is slower now...using transformer 1.1...

it does slow down my system, too. (mysteriuos 1.0). Good news is that Storkwong has redirected the needed files' pathes to an excluded folder other than the default windows folder to minimize the effect of slowdown^^ >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=341131&page=3

the speed might be dramatically improved if it is incorporated in the cooked rom at the first place^^

rename the _My pictures back to My pictures on sd only card and it should work the folder on main memory is needed to be changed

But,it is probably my stupidity,what is a move to get at menu,to see all pictures after I saw one in big format?

just a single tap and a menu pops up with some options press the bent arrow
this menu can also be called by pressing the midel button of the phone

I'm trying the Album, and I like it very much but I have problem with the zoom function. It' very difficult to use the zoom in command.
Another thing is that after Gullum suggestion (every time he has the answer) are showed all the picture present in the pda, I mean also the gif file form internet site. There is the way to open only the picture present in My Document folders?

Also it acts strange sometimes,when I choose picture from album to view in full size,and then get back to album again and choose other picture,it shows me that picture for a second and then shows the previous picture i choosed.
It just stuck at that picture and it shows it from time to time.maybe I was not quite clear but problem exists.

album was quitting due to pics in program files on sd card so i removed those programs and now it quits no more.

I tried it and it looks quite buggy :S

no way to choose directory, tried several:
1 - renaming my pictures: showed all files from everywhere :S
2 - param directory: to no avail
3 - changing the default in registry: nothing again
4 - Copy files to \storage card\my documents\my pictures\ -> again nothing

and some bugs:
I don't even get the tap center to see menu, it just appears sometimes.
Also over sometime it starts to overlap pics and zooming is easy to fail and result in rotate...

it almost looks like a beta :S
