These cabs are perfect for building extrom or UC folder for BA, i made them because most of the software we use in BA is outdated. These cabs i use in my current extrom + a few more for personal settings and my device working quite well. These cabs should work on all devices (maybe except MMS software)

Hi,

Some quick tips for HTC Album that will probably sound stupid:
- Once installed, HTC Album is in Programs/Multimedia
- Rename /My Documents/My Pictures to _My Pictures, as mentionned by xplode, but do it before you install HTC Album, otherwise it won't pick up any pictures (at least it didn't for me until I re-installed).

I tried the keyboard/keypad....looks very good and easy to use, but I HATE the predictive text input. Even when I turn it off in the settings, it still does it, so I had to uninstall it....its a pity because the actual keyboard is a brilliant size.

I'm deassembling the file to make it work on WM5, and I see here that you guys can specify a parameter on the lnk to open a specific directory

Looks like they are a complete version of skins. And sadly, the previous HTM Home plug you uploaded with the DSK cert doesn't work. I can't get the AudioManager to work with the HTC HomePlug.

I'm having problems though with installing the CommManager replacement. I get the message that installation was unsuccessful because the program or setting doesn't have sufficient system permissions (attachment). Any ideas why I'm getting this?

@Mamamam the first one id the touchpad, the second one is the keyboard - as i said they only work whenever text inputting is needed (PIE, Word, Windows Live ...)

The keypad should be 16 keys, the keyboard should be 20, honestly i don't use it i ise hardware keyboard for inputting it is more faster and easyer, but you can try to read the treads related to the keyboard, look at hermes and elf sections there are some really interesting threads about it

The keypad should be 16 keys, the keyboard should be 20, honestly i don't use it i ise hardware keyboard for inputting it is more faster and easyer, but you can try to read the treads related to the keyboard, look at hermes and elf sections there are some really interesting threads about it

How to use Touch Style Skin for WMP because after installation, nothing happen...cannot locate the new skin in WMP? any1???

WiFi not working is an old problem, it needs two steps to make it ON, first to start WLAN Mgr and then use the Comms Manager to start it. Two steps are needed after every soft resetting of the device.

Data connection doesnt require any pre-start. It starts on its own whenever there is a need for internet connection and WiFi is off. It can be easily switched off by pressing and holding Phone off button for few seconds.

WiFi and Bluetooth connections consume enough power and are drain on to the battery, thus should be definitely switched off after use.

My wifi button is working properly, but I can't seem to operate the 'Wireless LAN Settings' from the comm manager. I check in the the windows directory that WLanMgr.exe does not exist. Any idea to solve this problem or remove the 'Wireless LAN Setting' menu?

Having problems with the HTC ALBUM xplode.cab file for the cube and touchflo interface. I have been trying ridiculously to install the album but the touchflo has it as a exclusion how do I fix it? Is it something with the registry?

Does anyone know if the patched HTC Home plugin that's in the first post works properly on a Treo 750???

I am using the Comm Manager on my 750 (although only 4 buttons show up) no biggie.

I've had a long week of trying different versions of the HTC Homeplugin with limited success.

By working properly I mean... with all the regular functionality - Ex: Active call screens work when making or receiving a call / Send/End buttons work correctly / etc.

Thanks for the input and the help... I know that some guys have had success with the HTC Home on the Treo 750, but a lot of that info is outdated since the WM6 update has changed things.

I had the same problem... Soft reset then install or kill the comm manager process before installing.

1. what's the issue with audiomanager.exe? the device tells me that it cannot open it? as far as i've understood it's a known issue for which there's no solution, is it?
2. how does the weather stuff works? will it connect to the net through the cellphone ($$$) or just when i connect the qtek to the pc (like with pocketweather). the problem is that i don't wanna try: last time a program tried to automatically connect to the net, i spent 25€ for nothing (shit)!

I installed the HTCCube_FTouchFlo_TFloCubeCtrlv110_Config-xplode.cab both on newly flashed Xplode's 6.1 ROM 5.2.19199 and the 5.2.19716 hoangdat_VT ROM but both times I cannot add any contacts to the respective Cube page. Otherwise the Cube works perfectly.

Do I have to install anything else to get the contact page working, or is a special setting required?

After doing a little searching(alright, a LOT of searching) it seems that in order for Album to play videos, it needs a CAB of DirectShow codecs. I managed to find a Dshow cab over in the Diamond Apps thread but when I try to install it, I get an unsuccessful install. Thank you for the nice comment. I will take a look on my Installer and check what the problem is. However, I still use my version of HTCAlbum in my device because it's runs well in mine. :)

That appears to be the problem. As I understand it, Opera has to be installed to the internal memory.

I've been using you last versions of M2D with great success. To install it, I install the following order:

1. HTC_Enchasements.cab
2. AudioManager_2.0.1819.3326.cab
3. FSP, DShow, WMP, YouTube, Video Fixes.cab
4. Manila2D_1.0.1820.3328-xplode.cab
5. the manila2D.exe file.

With you new version, do I still need to install the HTC_Enchasements.cab and the Video fixes cab file or are they included within the new cab installation files?


Also, can the Opera be installed on SD or only in main memory?

If someone with a Qtec9090(with cam) could provide a registry backup when the cam is present.. ON and OFF and someone with experience in Registry would compare with a BA(w/o cam). Would changing the registry to the settings where the cam is present, either ON or OFF, allow the program to launch? Or would an actual emulator be needed to simulate the cam being there.
Note: I don't know what the Footprint software is or does, I'm just using some logic based on conversation.

The patched files seem to have a very bad signing issue. I had to re-sign them (but because signtool crashes on them I had to hex edit them first, for signtool to work). Try Extracting them from this package: http://winmo.sztupy.hu/temp/Manila2D_22_prebeta_1.cab (this installer will work on a WM 240x400 6.1 emulator) I also found some strange signature problems with the other files.

I only thought about some errors, because when I try to use signtool to sign the files it signs them, but after that the programs won't work.

But yes: the re-signed files work on the omnia too. (or well, only Manila2d.exe is re-signed (it works fine now). I didn't resign HTCalbum.exe, but compressed with upx. Strange, but this way it runs fine too)

Seems strange. Talked to other persons, some have problems with Manila2D.exe others with HTCAlbum.exe (and some others both), for some people my versions fixes the bugs, for some other people only your patches work. :)

I installed HTC streaming media and HTC YouTube from xplode's list above but streaming media doesnt show video, only audio is heard, whereas HTC YouTube generattes error when tried to watch video.

I have BA with WM6.5 and PIE 8.12.

Tried to istall dot net 3.5 and java too but that made me no difference.

Any clues?

Streaming Player problem got resolved when I downloaded the player from :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=58145&d=1195040893 and replaced with what xplode has provided.

xplode can analyze the differences, I feel xplode has removed some of the needed files as I notice this Streaming player has much bigger size than what xplode gave to us. xplode, we want your solution as you always make it perfect for BA, please let us know what did you exclude in your streaming player? To run YouTube I go to PIE, open .youtube.com and click on watch any video clip, new streaming player automatically opens up and starts playing. I tested with WiFi, its response is perfect, I am not sure if the displayed aspect ratio on the player is correct.

Problem of HTC YouTube app still exists. Do we really need HTC YouTube if we have PIE 8.12 with HTC Streaming Media Player?

Xplode, do we need Opera Mobile 9.5 for using manila 2D? I have PIE 8.12 installed and I am unable to browse using Icons of Internet of Manila.

you do not need either, yoi need a browser, of any kind, you can easy set it up to work with manila trough M2DC (manila 2d customizer) - now it uses by default opera

Other 2 problems only:
On the tab "people" I see the "+" button and the "Add" in every window, but I´m unable to add users to this list. What am I doing wrong? When I press the "All people" i go to Icontact, no problem.
Same behaviour on the "Programs" tab. I see the icons, the "+" button, but no action when press the button - it flashes when I press it, but that´s it... also flashes in the "people", by the way...

I´m not sure, but in Windows>Programs, the folder is empty.... related??

Final note: all HTC files are on Windows folder. When i browse it, it takes a long to open.

I´m using WM6.1Pro v3.02 (sun_dream) version.

Manilla 2D on BA is working fine except for the few issues:

You are right we should be happy to see manila working on 2004 device, it was an observation and not expected that to be resolved easily.

It could be that the path to the "New SMS" command is not right. Unfortunately, I have no clue where this might be located. Although it should still be in the xml file...

There is no default ring tone. I got into Settings and tried to play the default sound. No sound. Havnt tried to change it yet though. The other problem is with SMS. Sms does not open at all. It used to but after a while it stopped. Can Xplode help?

I installed this Manilla2d .cab and .exe on sun_dream's 21189.5.0.0 and it doesn't allow me add new cities in Weather tab and doesn't allow to add new programs to launcher.

Do you have any suggestions how can I make it work?

Also Opera browser from Iolite "untouched" .cab tells me - unsupported ROM when I install it exists the installation.

I made changes to Iolite Opera package so that it doesn't check ROM version anymore. Actually it is Setup.Dll that checks ROM version in Install_Init. I patched it first to bypass checking but later decided to remove the whole Setup.DLL from installation script as it seems to work without it.

Besides of Setup.DLL removal I also corrected install script and threw away all duplicate junk. There were few exactly the same files that only referred from script by different aliases. So the .cab size is now decreased from 7 to 4Mb. You can find it here:

I fixed M2D for WM6.5. I had to re-patch and re-package everything. With all respect to xlpode I found few mistakes in his release. The package below doesn't have problems with Contacts, Weather and Programs tabs.
This is a standalone installation, so you don't need to copy extra .EXE files to \Windows. Don't forget to check TouchFLO in Today settings.

just installed HTC Utils on my BA, but nothing seems to be added. I couldnt find any icon belongs to HTC Utils. As your explanations, HTC utils is for adjusting gestures (cmiiw), so that I installed it to adjust the touch gesture to be more smooth(hopefully), but found nothing.
Can you help me?

As requested i post some screens

First 3 are the 3 difrend states of Touch Dual Keyboard, the first one is the Touch Dual Touchpad , second is the Touch Dual Keyboard, third is the QWETRY Touch Dual Keyboard

Next is the skin for calculator (works on helmis rom i can not guarantee for other cooked roms)

Last is the WMP touch skin (found it on hermes section, tryed it and shared it with you - this is not from touch dual, it is created by user from this forum)

Next is the HTC Album in action with some of my pictures :)

After that is the Comm manager

I am still looking for the new dialer, it is amazing :)

as I am an enthusiastic user of your latest WM6.5 ROM I tried to upgrade the outfit of my commManager. The results looks not that sharp than it is supposed to be (as your black & white picture indicates).:confused:

Any idea why this is so?

Maybe the SPB MobileShell 3.0 or missing fonts?
