Coming soon WM5 for magicians

A guy from UK who claims to be official "Orange phone trainer" (Orange is a mobile operator in UK) claims that Orange Academy both Microsoft trainer and Orange employees were claiming that ROM upgrade for Orange SPV M500 Pocket PC phone (also for C550 smartphone) is coming.

If this would happen, then also users of other HTC Magician phones (like i-mate JAM, T-Mobile MDA Compact, Vodafone VPA Compact, Qtek S100, etc):



... would also be able to upgrade to Windows Mobile 5.0!

as posted under the smartphone main section, I was at the Orange Academy today. Good news to come from the event is that Microsoft and Orange are currently busy preparing a WM5 upgrade for both the C550 and the M500!

We were obviously told not to tell the general public, as they want us to push the C600 and the M5000, but for existing owners, this is fantastic news

I own an M500 and he was blatantly waving one around in front of my eyes saying "Both these devices will have WM5 on them in the coming months..."

So god knows.. he did seem to know what he was talking about tho, being a MS Trainer and all.

thats great news, and no rumors like that ever appeared in these foruns... now I will finally be able to choose between WM5 and my pre-installed vista OS with a ps3 emu on my s110!

Im not saying it is or not possible just F***ING STOP POSTING ABOUT IT, RELEASE IT OR SAY NOTHING!

Even fakes are more welcome than those crappy posts "it is possible, one day it will work", "i think i have, oh wait, nop. i really dont understand english (wait, how did i manage to register here?)", "they relased it for my ipod, why not for magician?", "we can do it, if we just talk about it ONE MORE TIME!!!!!!"

When it comes out, if ever, IT WILL BE ATTACHED TO THE POST!
In the meantime, if you really want WM5 or 6 or 7, go buy an expensive phone with half the mhz and more RAM that WM5 doesnt let you use, just because it has that damm gps you really have much use for and its not to show-off all your friends.

I believe this rumour came out about a year ago from another forum, and still nothing. i will see it when i believe it.

Don't think it's going to happen. The only way that this device will get WM5 is if someone cooks a successful rom.:o

im pretty sure that this is an MDA Compact II or the HTC Charmer and not a magician, because i find it illogical that a telco will still produce a rom upgrade for a very old device which no retailer is selling anymore, and while i still entertain the thought that it may be an unofficial WM5 Rom, still, i would doubt it. Such a rom would have been posted already here.

It is better to hear no information instead of misinformation. There will never be WM5 on magician .

Come on now, I have been reading WM5 posts for Magician from a year. Fed up now. Magician is a very old device. Dont think there will be a WM5 for it. Even WM6 is released long back. So if Magician had to have a WM5, it would have come out long back.

Why dont you guys try to load Google's Android on Magician. Would be much better :)
