I hate the guessing game as much as anyone, and I think the people who play it (http://forums.cingular.com/cng/board/message?board.id=gen&thread.id=115326) are idiots and only serve to piss off the folks releasing the update.
That being said, Treonauts.com (http://blog.treonauts.com/) is now reporting a likely date of Nov. 6. Yes, 2007.

Most peopl that already have the Unbranded latest version of WM6 probably wont find anything different from the carrier official version other than the logo

Wouldn't surprise me. I was told by someone within Palm Australia that they're hoping to have the Telstra version out by the end of next week. Perhaps the two ROMs have been developed in parallel, since they're both similar types of network (850mhz UMTS).

I was talking with my African Grey Parrot about this, and he confirmed the 6th of November. I asked him "When do you think the WM6 release is going to be for the ATT Treo 750, because I heard it was November 6th?". He looked me straight in the eye and said "November 6th". I said "Really, November 6th ?" and he said "Really November 6th."
This is really great news. Now if only he would stop smoking all my cigarettes.

I got sick of waiting for the Telstra ROM and upgraded last week to the generic ROM. It works perfectly on the NextG network. No problems to report yet!

Yep, I've been running the generic ROM on Telstra as well for a week or two now. I've found it to be faultless too :)

:D :D :D - I needed that mate!
Why do people have their panties in such a wad over the ATT "official" release??? You have several WM6 "official" releases from Palm to choose from. What silver bullet do you expect to receive from the ATT version???
Please, enlighten me...

My local ATT store doesnt have the Treo 750 anymore, they said they stoped sending them for some reason. So maybe there getting wm6 and getting sent out, but who knows just an opinion.

My friend, you are misinformed or lacking in understanding of what is a service and what is an enhancement/added functionality from AT&T. The only "enhancement" you offer in your list is the radio firmware - which is questionable as an enhancement over what has already been offered elsewhere.
I wish you luck in keeping the dream alive...it is Nov 6

Its funny how many people want the AT&T Rom. I on the other hand will do all to get a Unbranded ROM.
Even when I had Motorola phones I would always flash the factory Monster Pack on it or get a cooked one.

Guys, will I need to CID unlock the 750v to try the generic rom?
I currently have the UK Vodafone WM6 Rom and wanted to test a non branded rom, even though the vodafone doesnt have any branding!
I tried the generic one but it displayed an error saying something like wrong version.
Thanks in advance.

I agree 100%, nothing productive comes out of stating something just for the sake of stating it. Not trying to drag this out, but again you misunderstand. I was not "being mean" to you my friend, but pointing out that you may be misinformed or misunderstand the technology. The productive message being to take advantage of the wealth of knowledge and experience this site offers - I know I have.
I'm done with this one - Cheers

well you see i know people whowork for palm, and people whowork for cingular and this what they are telling me is being incorperated. honestly if younot a cingular user and are from another country these features will not be of much to you but i am and i am looking forward to them. if you have played with a Cingular Tilt youwill find the treo 750 will have the same capabilities as it as well as the added push to talk and HSPDA.. I talk to my buds at palm everyday..

For "knowing people" who work at both places, you sure do spend a lot of time with palm tech support and stopping by the att stores looking for an update...
So by talking to your "buds" at palm do you mean online tech support?

I sensed a discombobulation in his stories myself. That and a ripple in the space-time continuum has herds of arctic albino alpaca gathering in my front yard as I write this.
So..he's been in the USAF for 12 years and the WM6 upgrade is trivial and unimportant compared to the seekrit important stuff we wouldn't understand since we're not in his shoes, and, he knows people who work at Palm and Cingular. Yet he obsessively calls support at both companies and posts here whenever he gets a different story from the support person of the hour. Awesome!
PS: I hope he doesn't ever have to accurately spell "recall the nukes, it was just a training exercise"..if so we're all doomed. Hee cont speel gud.

I think you all should listen to him. After all he is a genius and a master of the Treo 750. Since joining last month, he has explained to us that Olipro doesn't know what he is doing and the best way to unlock your phone is to spend $40. He knows better about what is good for all of us.
Just because he can't spell doesn't make him an idiot. Look at the President. He consistantly screws up speechs that are written for him yet he is the most powerful man in the world. I wouldn't doubt that Jhowle isn't one of our finest at the CIA and is using the USAF as a cover.
Oh, by the way, I know someone on the inside of Old Navy and he said they will coming out with a new sweater vest next week with HSUPA and tilt sensors.

You have gone too far now! That is a violation of fashion security, punishable by up to two years in a shopping mall food court and a fine of having to wear your hair in a mullet for 3 years after that. I would be careful if I were you.
