Another Hybrid Rom Build 20000.0.7.0 with CE OS 5.2.1921
This Rom is based on my last Rom but with a more stable CE OS taken From Helmi_C's Rom and also a new Build which might be a fake build but what doesnt break can go or me. This Build is superb:eek: I had to fix some files and .dlls and edit some registries for it to get wroking so far so good

This Rom so far is very stable and also most bugs in previous roms are now fixed.

Yeah, I've noticed a lot of Russian in here, but otherwise it's a great ROM. I mean, I've only been running it for 20 minutes or so, but it's fast and I like all the included software.

A small issue I had the with the prevoius version (russian), do not now why it drained out battery at night :confused:

Great work. I wanted to let you know I still see some Russian when I send a SMS. the To and Subject Lines..... Not a problem for me.. In fact now I increased my Russian Vocab by 2

I had the same problem. It would connect but sit for 5 minutes and not sync. After that it would give error 0x80072EE2.
Not sure how I fixed it but I did many reboots of both PC and Phone and also removed and renamed the partnership.

Just another thing: when I power on my kaiser, my startup screen "windows mobile" begins with green colour and later on (a few seconds later) changes to blue colour. Anyhow I would appreciate if it could have the same colour but anyhow I am still happy with this ROM! :o

just wanted to give some input as well....after using this ROM for a whole day i find it smoother than the last ROM....for any ATT Tilt users if you experience internet explorer freezing up you have to install the remove hidden proxy cab, soft reset then everything should be good to go....other that the russian text in sms, mms, email, etc this is a pretty solid ROM...gps works, sms, mms, opera mini, wifi, etc is all working pretty solid...

OH, but one more thing...dutty maybe on your next release you can take out the customer feedback app...

someone correct me if I'm wrong but what my understanding of the ROM numbers was that those numbers indicate the version for that particular region...for instance this ROM is based on a Russian ROM so that number maybe an updated version of the Russian one and the one you have maybe an updated version for what ever region yours came out of...but they can be completely different as far as how they made and can be an upgrade from your ROM...i think what you have to look at is the build number and OS CE number...

worked with my Tilt...are you using XP or vista? on Vista it works fine, although I will agree with you that I do sometimes get problems syncing with the computer, but that problem always goes away with a quick reboot of the PC and/or phone.

Thanks guys, boy this one was a bugger. Still not sure if the sound/sync problems were caused by this ROM. I had to re-flash three with a couple different AT&T Roms to get sound back. Now with the latest pure AT&T Rom, everything is working good. I'll wait for my heart to settle back down before I try this one again :) Knowing me, that'll be a couple hours from now... I never tried using the HTC comm manager to check sound status and try on/off settings, hmmmmm...

I am using Vista64 on all these tests. Very smooth so far.

The only sound problem came when i flashed New ATT rom aku 0.4.4 build 18128 radio 1.27.14.09 and then flashed with this ROM. anyone who read the thread about 1.27.14.09 knows there's no sound with that radio with any other OS. reflashing with ATT original rom and then reflashing with this one fixed the sound problems.

THERE is no voip enablein this rom or any kaiser rom around i think. i will look into enabling this feature in an upcoming rom in the future

Honestly dutty, for this kind of speed (compared to the Tilt ROM) I couldnt give two craps about a little bit of russian. Keep up the good work, I have not had a lock up yet on my Tilt.

Ah ha! This sound familiar to what I did to my phone before it really messed up with Dutty's fine rom... I'll try it and verify what I find (maybe tommorrow, 13 flashes in one day is plenty for my tastes...)

If You can tell me where the russian languages are appearing/ which i only could find two sms/email I will look into this later on.

seems the Rom is running ok for most one So I will hold on from cooking another version untill a major changes come through.

So far this ROM is working great. I had to reset once but I believe that was because of another app that I had running. My screen would dim but it my Kaiser would not go to sleep after 2 min. I reset then change then changed the time interval for standby that seemed to work. My battery consumption has also dramatically improved. May me in part to some conditioning, but hey I aint going to complain. I am having a slight problem. During my testing of my battery, I shut off data connection in with the commManager.
1. What is the function of Data connection?
2. What is function of Internet Sharing?
3. What is function of Beam?
4. Why when I hit data the Comm Manager button for data Connection it won't go back to blue. In fact the Icon is grayed out. Not like the other options that are disabled, they are in white instead of blue. For Data Connection the Icon is grayed out but the text "Data Connection" is in white like the others. Why does Data Connection not work?

Can someone answer these questions for me?

I always disable the ugly and slow HTC Video dialer and with the default WM6 dialer you are getting som russian text under each button - it does not matter :)

In the email section, the bit of text that saud "click to edit original message" is also still in Russian, but no big issue, I'll hold up putting it on the wife's phone though until it's unrusianed, last thing I want is her moaning because there are some russian bit's in it.... even though she knows exactly what they say anyhow, seems as she has been using WM for 4 years now...

I think that the others have pretty well nailed the russian language locations...SMS, and when replying to an e-mail....
As far as the lockups, its been mostly on the start menu just hanging endlessely....

Another weird thing is that when I have the phone soinds muted and I install something that wants to do a reset (like TomTom say), when the phone resets the sound is back on. If I just do a soft reset, it's OK.

i reflashed it just now, and it seems to be happier, havent had it lock up yet....

The only bug i have noticed, as another user noted was that once the keyboard light times out, it will not light up again unless you slide-close and slide-open again. I have no yet see any Russian, but it would be nice to know that it's completely removed :D

I've soft resetted the phone twice, and both times the customer feedback message came to ask whether or not I want to participate. This is more of a annoyance than bug. Would be awesome if we can get rid of this "microsoft feeling". :D

Other than that, this is a 100% must keep ROM. Fast, stable, improved looks- GREAT WORK, dutty!!!

EDIT: Found Russian- when sending a text message, the "Type" field and "To" field is in Russian. (Reads "Ot" and "Komy")

First of all id like to say great work. I do however have a small bug report.
First, the rom seems to randomly freeze every now and then, requiring a soft reset. Secondly, the GPS on the tilt seems to be touch and go.

On the up side. I love the 3g icon, the speed, and the included programs as they all work great. As a mattter of fact I am posting this from a TIlt flashed with your rom.

T9? Are you refering to words suggestions? If so, you can disable it from Settings -> Input -> (Word Completion tab) remove the check for "suggest words when entering text".

Have you fixed the russian text in the default WM6 dialer ? And when in call the background still shows some russian signs together with the buttons for keypad, call history, mute, hold and so on. Not a biggie as I love this rom :)

You are definitely correct...if it came from the AT&T store it has to come with the stock AT&T ROM....I would go right back and demand a new one.

The bootloader 2.10 was the last version for the hermes (aka TyTn 1). Since Oli just started doing HardSPL for TyTn2 (aka Kaiser), he started with version 1.00/1.01. So yes, it is a HardSPL device. Otherwise you wouldnt have had the custom ROM on it anyway. Most probably smb. played with it and then smth was not functioning correctly and returned it. Surprisingly, the engineers from ATT didnt realise it had a different ROM version. Funny, huh? Maybe the guy that returned that phone is in this community, he should be, shouldnt he? :)

I can second that this has the opposite of problems with battery life, and with 3g turned off the battery life lasts for quite a while.

yup 100% sure...did it 3 times since i read that post...

can it be because i used the kaiser tweek to keep my keyboard light on for 30 seconds...after 30 seconds i press any key and then it turns back on....also, under the backlight options i do have the backlight sensor turned on...

I am using the Tilt as well, and the keyboard does not light back up. Maybe when dutty releases the final rom, it may be magically corrected. Also, would reverting back to the AT&T rom and then installing this rom have any possibility of fixing anything?

I never used the ATT rom over again. I went from the factory ATT to the kaiser large storage to the last dutty rom to this one. I haven't gotten a lot of the things I have been reading in this thread. The only thing I get is the russian text which has been addressed so I'm psyched. I hated the T9 and that's gone and the customer feedback comment I agree too... don't need it. Everything else is good.

In regards to the google maps, people just need to grab the GPSTest cab. I'll attach it.

All you need to do is run that outside... wait for it to finish... it will say "GPS Running" or something to that effect. After that works, Google maps will work. I don't know why but it does. You DON'T have to run them both at the same time and you only need to run it when google maps doesn't work anymore (or Tom Tom for that matter)

The keyboard backlight is caused by the same problem that gives incorrectly mapped keys. After installing the keyboard fix, the problem should go away. I was too lazy to apply the fix since I thought "what the heck, I'm going to upgrade to dutty's next rom anyway". Installing the latest fixed rom right now...and will report back whether or not the keyboard fix resolves the backlight issue.

Hi Yannick a week ago I tested Sjphone Gosip the one from WM6 and another one that I can't remenber the name and the better one, source from the one I got and the phone is Fring. For me the two best is WM6 voip and fring. Maybe is because of my web connection.:confused:

This doesn't seem to be an issue for me. Haved had IE and WMP running and everything is still super quick.

OK, it seems that the G, 3G (E?)and H icons are done for. I used to get them as necessary, now I get none of them.

The phone connects fine, speed is fine, everything else seems to work, but I like to try to keep track of what the network it doing.

Anyone have any thoughts? Is this the ROM, something else?

The program screen seem to hang really badly. =(

EDIT: After pulling battery out and re-inserting, the hanging seemed to disappear. Hope it's gone for good!

EDIT2: Having any program/app running in the background, then choosing programs from the start menu would promise a instant lock-up on the phone. The only way to unfreeze is the pull battery out and stick it back in... Will reflash and see if this is still a problem =(

I used to have this problem too. I flashed the device a couple of times and still the problem exist. When I'm in my program screen, it'll just freeze while loading the icons halfway through. I soon discovered that its due certain applications that I've installed. The two software that had caused my device to lag is the gprs monitor and handago software. The freezing has cease to occur since.

One more tip, if your program screen freeze, do not take out the battery or perform a soft reset. Just leave it there for about a minute or so and it'll resume operation, patience is the key.

i suggest you reflash your device...sounds like something didn't load properly...make sure that no other programs are running while flashing, any little hiccup can cause a problem during a reflash...good luck...

also, make sure that everything is in working order before you start installing apps...then check it after each time you install one or two programs...

T9? Are you refering to words suggestions? If so, you can disable it from Settings -> Input -> (Word Completion tab) remove the check for "suggest words when entering text".

Thas not T9 i like when it shows me words, T9 I am referring to is bac when we had no keyboard it tries to figure out the word for you.

thanks mate but no problem whatsoever with homeplugin with weather updating and soft reseting. only suggestions is to hard reset and try again. if your using proxy settings you might need to remove them

Have tried the hard reset, with nothing extra installed, but the minute I select the city (Cape Town, even tried other cities) and it tries to connect, be it via AS, 3G or wireless it soft resets the phone. It happens every single time. I have no proxy settings, only the auto network setup for Vodacom SA :confused:

Great ROM. I also used the Sprite ROM-Restore feature and it too seems to have worked great.

The only nagging issue I've noticed (and this was true on the original Helmi ROM) is that GPS stops working when I use my BT headset. It starts working again as soon as I hang up the BT call. I had hoped to get lucky (since Dutty may not know of the problem) and find that this ROM fixed this issue.

But again, very nice ROM - fast, stable so far. Thanks Dutty!

I find the solution, when you unselected show sim contacts DO NOT RESET you have to choose NO when "some changes will take effect only...bla bla bla... Do you want to soft reset your device? " show up

Seems like Wisbar Advance had a little problem this time. I'll have to fiddle with it and see what happened, because this hasn't been an issue in the past.

I also seem to have a wifi problem with this rom.
It works for one session, but then if i fire up the wifi again it wont find any pages or nothing.
Soft reset solves the problem. But obviously for 1 session of wifi only.

Here is the story.

I had my Orange UK TYTN II unlocked after a series of unfortunate events!...

Just before I entered the simlock key, I had loaded the folloing package:

RUU_Kaiser_DOPODASIA_WWE_1.81.707.0_radio_sign_22. 45.88.07_1.27.12.11_Ship.exe

After unlocking, I apreciated the better speed it offered in comparison with Orange UK ROM.

One application I was running was TCPMP and I was streaming a radio station called Afterhours Radio.. in short..its a radio station that streams nice trance music @192KBs..

I had SPB GPRS monitor running and it showd and amaizing (at least to me) 425Kbs... the music was comping in without buffering, disruption or anything.

Now.. After I read about the Super Duper ROM you made.. I decided to install it from the Link at the begining if this thread.. I did that. and WAW even faster that to dopod one!

But what came to my attention is that running the same radio stream at the same hour of night (on a different day though).. the data connection was only able to read upto 140KBs.

I am aware that there might have been some network impact at that particular time.. but My question is:

Have you experienced any slower internet connection via 3G whilst using the latest Hybrid ROM.

I just grabbed the latest rom with the fix and it hasnt changed. The russian is still in the to and from and subject.
Also if you try and send a contact as a txt it is all in russian to from subject and the body of the message.
Im not sure if it is supposed to be in there but the function key mappings are not fixed either. I still have to use the fix from the other post.

Other than that I am very pleased with the rom its quite a bit faster than the orignal and the bluetooth connect disconnect with a call is stellar.... I hate having a 10 second delay when transfering to headset or vise versa.

Well 1 other thing I noticed was that my keyboard only comes back with lite if i use the space key no other keys.

Just my thoughts and notes..

Nope Russian is definetly gone, also for those (in the UK at least), make sure the auto net config has not added the 149.xx.xx.xx proxy to your connection, just goto, start-settings-connections-connections-advanced-select networks-edit(top one)-proxy and untick the use proxy box, you will then see that the speed of the connection is a lot better.

The program screen hanging disappeared when the various caching settings were increased. It seems like a promised fix.

Is it just me or does the battery only charge until 95% and stops when charging via usb -> pc? I haven't tried the usb AC adapter yet.

I also got that problem - with all other roms there were problem when pressing one button two times to get two of the same letters. Often I only got one of them even tough I pressed lets say T two times. Now it is the opposite :) I press two times and often get three letters instead :)

try going into settings then button and on the up/down control tab adjust the Delay before first repeat...you just have to move it a little bit away from the short side...this worked for me...hope this does the same for you...cheers..

also, for people who want to toggle between the vibe function do a search within the kaiser forums and find the thread regarding remapping the PTT button and in the beginning of the post someone attached a cab that will install the vibe function to assign to a button...cheers...

It works fine for me both with WPA and WPA2, the only thing is that it is very slow to connect but when connected it is working fine

I never used the ATT rom over again. I went from the factory ATT to the kaiser large storage to the last dutty rom to this one. I haven't gotten a lot of the things I have been reading in this thread. The only thing I get is the russian text which has been addressed so I'm psyched. I hated the T9 and that's gone and the customer feedback comment I agree too... don't need it. Everything else is good.

In regards to the google maps, people just need to grab the GPSTest cab. I'll attach it.

All you need to do is run that outside... wait for it to finish... it will say "GPS Running" or something to that effect. After that works, Google maps will work. I don't know why but it does. You DON'T have to run them both at the same time and you only need to run it when google maps doesn't work anymore (or Tom Tom for that matter)
