Hi all,
I have an XDA Orbit on O2 which I got last week.
I have TomTom installed on the phone with the maps and voices etc on the MiniSD Card.
I went to use TomTom today, and it showed be the EULA and said No Maps available. I checked the SD Card, and I could access it and launch other applications which are installed on the SD Card.
I soft-reset the device, but still no fix.
Re-installed TomTom, and when it launched after installation it ran fine, however when I shut it down and opened it again i failed and showed No Maps once again.
I read http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=285511&page=1&highlight=Storage+Card thread, and installed the HTC Patch incase this was affecting me, however there is no change.
It seems that I can run TomTom if I re-install everytime I want to use it, however that obviously is no use at all.
Any help would be grately appreachiated, as I'm a little annoyed by this being that I have only had the phone for a week.

have you tried putting the maps on the device storage rather than your SD Card? some applications dont like being split over device and SD.
I have TTN6, and have the maps on the device under 'Program Files/Navigator/Zip/'
Hope this helps.

I had TomTom installed in this way on my XDA Mini S for 18 months with no problems, and as far as I am aware this is the way TomTom is designed to be installed.

Is the name of the TT-map map correct on minisd?
Check spelling.

I had the same challenge.
There are one or 2 ways to resolve the issue.
1. Delete the maps, un-install TomTom software, you also need a reedit software to delete all references to TomTom in the regostry. Delete all other TomTom relevant files on the device /Program Files/navigator; /My Document/TomTom. Then soft-reset before installing all over again.
This I did for a friend.
2. In my own case, I reflashed with a new ROM, then installed all over again.
However, my friend had a cracked version, and I told him to go pay for the original, as you only need to pay for the maps these days. I cannot guarrantee 1. will always work.

I am currently using a cracked version also (tut-tut) but am getting the Western Europe edition for christmas from my other half.
The maps folder is named Great_Britain which worked on my Mini S on WM5 no problems.
Can you please advise where the TTN registry keys are, as I looked in HKCU and HKLM but couldn't find anything relating to TomTom. I did not remove all the existing stuff before re-installing so I may try this.

Just to clarify the technical points:
I am running the O2 WM6 ROM that was pre-installed on the device, and am using a SanDisk 2GB MiniSD card.

Can anyone tell me how I can find out my TTN software version being that I cannot get into the application itself, as I am stuck at the screen showing the No Maps message.
Is the version displayed inside a file or registry key used by TTN?

I'm using the same version now as previously on WM5 - Is that my issue?
I don't have the Mini S with me now, so I can't fire the software up right now, however I will look tonight and post the version, unless someone can tell me a way to find it some other way in the mean time?
Thanks

I'm having problems locating the software build version.
I've started TomTom on my Mini S which is working perfectly and loading the maps ok etc etc, however I can't see anything with the build or software number on it - Sorry for being a noob, but could someone point me in the right direction.
Many Thanks

Just open TomTom and press where the signal strength is shown, it will show at the bottom right, at least in version 6.030.

Hi all,
I knew I wasn't being stupid trying to find the version number, so I've taken a picture of the GPS Signal screen - Attached.
I disbled Bluetooth Explorer and this is now working again perfectly, without changing the maps - These maps I have used on WM5 and WM6.
I personally don't see why Bluetooth Explorer would do this, unless TomTom is foolithly trying to look for maps over Bluetooth, but thanks for the help everyone.

to find the version number with TTN6:
-Start TomTom
-Tap on the bottom right of the screen where it shows time/speed/signal strength
-it should bring up a screen which shows your last route, signal on the right and bottom right of the screen the version, which you can tap on and get a detailed view.
Hope this helps.

I also have the same problem, where it says no maps found. It used to work and then all of a sudden it stopped. It is not a cracked version.
Can someone please help me!

Hi,
I found out that TomTom would say "no maps present" after changing the setting for the bluetooth "enable bluetooth explorer"
When you do this, the bluetooth is an extra volume next to internal storage and storage card. This causes TomTom to be searching for the maps in the wrong destination. If you turn off the bluetooth again, it is resolved. Maps that were installed to internal will show normally.
I think behind this there is a bug in WM6 that confuzes the volumes.
Hope this helps some people,

TT6 on my XDA Orbit (WM6 O2 ROM) suddenly complained there were no maps for no apparent reason during the Xmas break and I was _really_ annoyed about it, as it always seemed to happen when I really needed TT. It had happened a couple of times before I upgraded to WM6 which I put it down to the SD card corruption problem.
Anyway I was all set to reformat the SD card and reinstall TomTom when I found this thread and remembered I had been messing about with the Bluetooth settings. I checked if BT Explorer was switched on, which it was, so switched it off and everything is hunky dory again.
Many thanks for saving me a load of time with this advice!
