What happens when you turn the device on ? Does nothing happen or do you get a white screen or something like that?

Hi,
I have this problem too and I got "the nice white screen of death".
The phone's working (can recv calls) but the white screen...
The press and hold the red btn is not working in this case and I thing it could be HW problem.
Now the device is in the drawer waiting solution! :-)
Did You find?

If you can receive calls, It may be a hardware problem. Try entering bootloader to see if it still displays the white screen. If it does, try a hard reset, and if that fails, try reflashing a ROM (It shouldn't matter that you can't see what's happening on the device as you should be able to control it all from the computer).

If all that fails, I think the most likely cause is a loose connection between the screen ribbon cable and the device mainboard.

Thanks,
The white screen remains after hard reset , after reflashing rom and after changing the LCD with the working one.
The ribbon connector is prooved !
Because of the block diagram showing that CPU is directly connected to the LCD I think it could be the CPU. But if the CPU is malfunctioning the whole device must be dead!!
That is why I try to find some scheme to observe the connection but ... nothing on the net!
The other one is to change the CPU ( I have the other one not working Prophet) but at the test I could receve an error msg because of the chaged CPUs ID.
Do you have any idea what is better to do!?

Waiting :-)
