Hello Lads

Help, Just found out that there is something wrong with this rom.
Let me explain what happend. Was trying to use my sat nav as usual but unfortunetly after falshing new rom it stop working. I mean program is starting without any problems but when you start to plan your journey it just crashes. First it's asking to close task then "memory alocation faild". It was working without any problems on old WM5 and WM2003. I Love this new rom and would like to stay with it but love my sat nav as well.
Any sugestions??

Navigon always does give problems on universal, you need 24MB free RAM which is ridiculous. Did have the problem you describe, even on WM5. Navigon is Officially not supported on Universal.......

why not try jwright's wm5 rom. It has the USB HDD and it is pretty good.

Don't know if it's possible, but I just disabled it through settings and I'm now using SPB's task manager without any problems :)

You could give Schap's SetupVoIP_v0.3 a try. It is pretty good. It is here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=317070). Please, provide your data in portrait mode, because you'll notice it lacks a scroll bar.

no it was working fine on WM5 even with POI Warner loaded together, just a bit slower then on WM2003 but was working.

WM2003 has the advantage of storage/program memory switching, And 2003SE wasn't on your UNI. UNI has VGA which is heavier for memory too. Navigon and UNI memory problem has been mentioned lots of times...

Hence, I couldn't download the update from t-mobile website because I don't have a T-Mobile SIM card or number. Now, I read many threads in the forum in xda-developers.com but (you may call me stupid) I couldn't get my brain to understand how do I upgrade my ROM :-(

Well, you're making questions in the wrong forum, then. Universal ROMs here are meant to be flashed to HTC Universal devices only (in fact, its branded devices, like i-Mate Jasjar, O2 Xda Exec, Vodafone v1640, Qtek 9000, Dopod 900, etc.).

You could begin by taking a good look at the Wizard page at the Wiki. It's here (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Wizard).

Good luck in flashing your device.

fantastic rom!

the improvement in A2DP alone is worth upgrading.

the only thing i noticed, is lack of memory. E.g. camera app doesnt start if Media Player is running. Or sometimes bluetooth stack doesnt start because, agian, not enough mem.

Something is very wrong when 64MB is not enough for an embedded device. ;)

Ive never needed any phone number or ID to get a universal rom off t-mobile:confused: AND ive noticed they have updated the uni rom again, it now has a 1.17 radio

One thing I noticed untill now is that the recent programm list in the start menu isn't working.
Is this a normal thing in this Rom?

You'll find a file named startclean.lnk (or something like that) in your \Windows\Startup folder. Just delete it, and the next time you soft reset your device, all recently opened programs' icons will be kept there.

Didn't find the file, but I did find out that program's that are in the startlist already, arn't shown in the last program list. (very good)
All other programs wich are not in the start list will show in the recently opend list after using them.

Use the SEARCH function... find the WIKI page and LEARN... very easy actually, i dont want to explain it here since its already available in the WIKI... use the SEARCH FUNCTION.... and you shall prevail.. .any problems you find you may want to use the SEARCH again... :)

and to finally get my German keyboard running with the WWE-nglish ROM:
1. get a registry editor
2. goto key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\Qwerty]
3. edit layout-entry (in decimal) to 66567
4. finally softreset

Hi everyone!

Congrats for the new wonderful rom. I am using O2 XDA Exec. Rite now i am using Telenor in Pakistan. The ROM altogether is fantastic and i must appreciate its developers for all their hardwork. The problem is just upgraded to this ROM last night. Prior to this my GPRS was working fine. But now with same settings its not working. It shows a 'G' on the taskbar and also shows GPRS,3G line as connected but i cannot browse websites in internet explorer nor can i connect live messenger. Can someone please help me out as this is necessary for my professional needs. Thanks in advance. For reference i am also pasting gprs settings provided by service provider which i did used on WM5 :

Configuration for WAP
Access Point Name/Node: wap
Login name: Telenor
Password: Telenor
WAP Gateway IP: 172.18.19.11
Port (if required): 9201
Port (if required for HTTP handsets): 8080


PS: If its a bug and is fixed already in a new version kindly give me direct url of new ROM

Am a Senior Tech Architect in Aust & just put this ROM on my Jasjar - what a nice surprise. It runs so well.

I just stuck in a 4GB then an 8GB T-Flash & read them both. The network setup suits me just fine & the expanded bluetooth with stereo support is just what I wanted.

Dear all,

I used the WM6VOIP in this thread here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1869265&postcount=225), replacing rtcdll.dll with the one at the same place and everything is working well. The sound is quite good.
My ipdialplan.xml (at the same place) is specially built for France. For another country, it should be updated accordingly.

Any updates on the VOIP status Jason/Jwrightmcps? It would really be nice to have this feature working more usably. Specifically, the volume issue with speakers/bluetooth and rerouting sound to the phone speaker would be nice.

Download the file you wish for your device.
(i.e. "JASJAR_WWE_20108_20301_11300_wwe_ship.zip")

Step 2

Unzip the download.
(double-click the ".zip" file and then click on "Extract all files")

Step 3

Open the directory that you un-zipped the download to.
(i.e. folder "JASJAR_WWE_20108_20301_11300_wwe_ship")

Step 4

Locate the InstallSheild setup program in the ROM folder, then right-click it and choose "Properties".
(i.e. "JASJAR_WWE_20108_20301_11300_wwe_ship.exe")

Step 5

Once the file properties is open select the "Digital Signatures" tab, then in the "Signature List" double-click the "HTCCertificates signing authority" signature.

Step 6

Once the "Digital Signature Details" is open select the "Advanced" tab then compare the "Serial number" with the known one.
(My S/N: “ec b8 10 3b e7 65 19 ba 4f 05 48 14 e3 34 97 61”)

Step 7 (Results)

If the serial numbers match then rest easy because you are using a "TRUE" Jwrightmcps ROM that has not been altered and is virus-free.

If the serial number does not match then it is not my original work and should not be used!

NOTE: I did this is case these files make it onto other sites, it will give you guys a way to tell if it is really mine or not. I will always use this serial number (ec b8 10 3b e7 65 19 ba 4f 05 48 14 e3 34 97 61) from now on to sign all my work, so please make note of it!
