WM6 RWE Version

Has anyone succeded in downloading a copy of this ROM

I am looking for unbranded WM5 that is official and shipped with treo unbranded

I am getting an error message when I try to download that link. From what I can tell, Palm requires a valid serial # to be entered into their system before they allow the download. If you have this install, would you mind posting it up on one of the many sharing sites and providing the link? I am guessing that this version may have a better radio for use in the US than the ROW version had which forced me to roll-back to the 3AUS install.

In regard to your request, I am fairly certain that the WM5 install is available from this site - I have seen it posted multiple times but I can't recall where?

I'm in AUS, using replacement unit from Palm (unbranded) on Telstra.
I downloaded the file using my serial number, I had TREO750-1.16-RWE.

Now have TREO750-2.23-RWE.

The file name is Treo750_2.23_ROW_EN_DesktopUpdater.exe
Maybe RWE means Rest of World English.

By the way, runs great, only have had an issue when I loaded Sprite Backup 6.1, so I have removed it.

The file is located in this forum under the heading

Yeah! You're right. I dug deeper into the temp files of the ROW updater and seen the RWE text on the payload XML. Mine is now saying Treo750_2.23-VFU:)

Dear Abs, I will do that, tell me where i need to upload. I tried for Wm5 a lot many times but no luck, I dont seem to find the UNBRANDED WM5 release that came with the device. I actually did not unlock the device. I bought the generic device itself so I am willing to have the original stuff.

Sorry I misunderstood. I checked my hard disk and I had previously downloaded from this site a copy of the branded WM5 Cingular rom. I don't know if Palm ever released the unbranded version. Perhaps someone else can answer that question?
