hi...

ive looked around here for a while and i want to cook a new rom for my xdaComet/atom life with more free ram (if there is a possiblitiy) and i will try to get the touchcube on my atom life because the touchcommander eats my ram.

ive red in the atom wiki that its saver to cook without flashing the bootloader.

now my question: if i only flash the os it is still possible to kill my Atom life ?

i had a xda mini before.. i flashed this one with a custom rom without probs. My second try was a return to service try and i dont now why, because ive used the same way as my first try. so i will be sure that i dont kill my new xda comet / atom life.

thx for help...

if you have read the thread for the atom life kitchen. It's not working as of the moment. only mamaich tools worked... there are always risks involved. even the official ROM bricked some phones. you can work hand-in-hand with scorpio16v because he is doing that project.

If you realy want to cook and flash a ROM, the best and fastest way is the flash via MiniSD.
I've f...ed up my Comet several times and he's recovered every time.
You need an MiniSD 256 MB or 512 MB (and NOT bigger :D ) and of course a cardreader.
The Howto is described in Wiki and in several threads here at XDA-devls.
But the biggest problem is the way to cook a (working) ROM.
If you try only to flash the OS and Extended ROM it's save. Don't flash the other parts like bootloader or radio.
