Egde Icon on Tmobile 2.26 Rom

Hello XDA Crew and forum members!

My G3 HTC Wizard is currently running with T-mobile 2.26 WWE Rom.
ROM: 2.26.10
Radio: 2.15.11
Protocol: 4.1.13.12
ExtRom: 2.26.10.105

My question is on my Today Screen, i have only GPRS icon (labelled as G). So where i'm sitting now, with an EDGE compatible cellphone, i have EDGE signal.
So i wanted to enable EDGE indicator on my Wizard.

I have gone through this topic:

Documentation i've found explains which registry key to change for EDGE indicator.
Here's the key which must be affected, found in the documentation:

9. Different GPRS/EDGE Icon
Registry: HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL
Key: EnableDifferGprsEdgeIcon (dWord)
Value: 0 = disabled
1 = enabled




I've used Mobile Registry Editor (http://www.breaksoft.com/Blog/Utilities/2005/1/Mobile_Registry_Editor.aspx)
and edited the key mentionned for EDGE indicator, and soft-reset my device but i didn't didn't succeed to get EDGE icon on today screen.
