O2 XDA - phone number formating

I have a o2 xda mini s (UK) no when i type a number into to make a call it automatically formats it as an US number (xxx) 444 - 4444

if i go over this amount of numbers it just goes into plain format..

can i remove this formatting or change it to uk format. played with the regional settings with no avail..

Any suggestiions
