View Full Version : Number Keys Don't Work In-Call

Hi All,

This is driving me nuts - posted before in "TNT" discussion but didn't get a response.

I am unable to use any number keys when in a call. Can't "select 1 to reach...blah blah blah" or press "7 to delete this message", etc.

I've installed, re-installed TNT, tried different radios, etc. Only seems to happen with TNT, but would like to keep it as the other features are great.

Anyone have a fix or suggestion? Here are my pertinent stats:

ROM: TNT.1933 TouchFLO Edition
I/SPL: 2.25
Radio: 2.19.11
OS: 11.0.0.1

Any suggestions would be massively appreciated as I do NOT want to have to uninstall TNT again, futz around and re-install (it does seem to work for a short while after doing so, but then stops, and what a pain in the arse!)

Thanks,
-tynk-

Sorry, should have been more specific, but I've got the flu, so not on my toes!

I can view, press, and even hear the keytones in call, but they do NOT register on the other end. No matter how many times I press "7", and hear the tone, voicemail doesn't hear it (I end up with a full mailbox pretty quick!) Or when trying to "press 1 for...", I can press 1, hear the tone, but the system on the other end doesn't register it.

Okay, it may be "junk TNT issue" (or it may just be related to TNT in that one of the progs bundled in TNT or settings I've ticked is the culprit), but what ROM or fix do you recommend? Not a particularly helpful post? Why bother?

Thanks!

I had the very same problem. Check out this post as he answered the question for me...

Yep, I had this issue. The solution is simple however - change the following in the registry:

[HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL]
EnableDTMFSupport=0x0

In previous ROMs it looks like the setting 0x00000001 enabled DTMF support and in this ROM 0x00000000 enables it.... Bit weird but it worked for me.

Andy

It worked perfectly for me.

Thanx.

I used CeRegeditor and that did the job for me: in registry find DRIVERS\BUILDIN\RIL\ and put EnableDTMFSupport on 0 (it was on 1) strangly after reboot it works for me! (and before you change or open anything first 'unlock registry' in de CeregEditor (tools)

if you dont know how to get into the registry there is a cab floating around that correct DTMF tones and I think some software. I had this issue on a rom and I downloaded a cab that fixed it. If I find it on my computer I will post it for you. Do a search for DTMF tones.
