View Full Version : [Update 04/04/08! v1.07.02] Skinnable Analog Clock Today Plugin "Retro"
thenext1

Retro PPC 1.07.02 for WM5 and WM6
~ Official Website (http://web.gemini.dynalias.net/?c=index_ek_rppc) ~
I've made this little plugin that displays an analog clock, similar to those wall clocks.
It is a PPC port of my previously-released Retro plugin for the smartphone (http://web.gemini.dynalias.net/default.asp?c=index_ek_retro)
You can make your own skin with your PC and REdit. Look below and download it. (REdit needs .NET Framework 2.0 installed on your PC).
News:
Development on Retro is stopped, for now. If you are really interested on bringing it ahead, please contact me by PM or email and maybe I'll release the source.
Main Features:
completely skinnable
skins work like photoshop files (with layers)
antialiased-grade graphics quality, better than alternatives (namely spbclock)
can be centered, left, right aligned with a margin
can create stunning effects: canvas shadows, hand shadows, transparent clocks, glass translucency, semi-transparency, etc...
real-time second hand motion (for faster PDAs)
How To Install:
Retro is compatible with WM5 and upwards!
Run the CAB file on your PDA, make sure to choose to install it into internal memory.
Put additional clock files (skins) created by others into the install dir, then you can choose them in the plugin options under Settings - Today - Items tab. The CAB file already comes with 3 basic skins.
I hope you like it.
Where to download:
Retro and REdit can be found on their official site (http://web.gemini.dynalias.net/?c=index_ek_rppc).
Known bugs:
- does not work correctly with non-square clock sizes
- clock will not update while the screen is locked
Version history:
Retro Update 04-03-2008 v1.07.02
- Added "Alarm hand" to Retro and REdit, that shows the hour position of one of the system alarms.
- Added 24-Hour hand.
- Added the capability to short-cut to the system Clock & Alarm properties.
- Added the capability to embed Author & Name info into the clocks.
- Fixed the bug that prevented Retro from animating properly while embedded in Wisbar Advance Desktop.
- 15-20% speed improvement.
(the new setting screen is shown in the second attachment)
Retro Update 11-29-2007
- Fixed plugin didn't appear in Today settings in WM5 devices
Retro Update 11-23-2007 v1.06c3:
- Fixed slow application startup from desktop due to deadlock in slow priority code (introduced in 1.06c2)
Retro Update 11-17-2007 v1.06c2:
- Fixed CAB install package for non-english PPCs (testers needed!)
- Lower thread priority for clock drawing - should ensure that apps start as quick as possible when opened from the homescreen
REdit Update 04-03-2008 v1.07.03:
- Fixed some crashes for stupid issues.
- Fixed a duplicate preview-window bug.
- Added code to support new features in Retro 1.07.02.

It's good. You should know that rlToday does this already and more. I do like yours better though as there is less screen flicker when going back tot he Today screen. You need more examples. Also when clicking on the clock it should open the clock applet liek the standard one does. A smaller clock available would be good, with a second hand. And the date printed somewhere.
Thanks!

I got informed about it, and I saw all that can do... I will not do all the calendar things, etc... but I will for sure add digital date/time display(it was already in the plans), if I see enough popular will :D
For the smaller clock issue, well, you can do one for yourself. Also REdit has an option to resize clocks, so you can resize the Austere clock which has the seconds hand (included with the package) to better fit your screen.

has kept me busy for the last hour making a rough and ready skin from the Omega Seamaster. Found an iage of one on the 'net and started Photoshopping from there...
Images are photographic so blurred slightly when resized, but generally pleased for a first attempt.
Might have another go at some point and make one from scratch.

i was also able to adjust options from there
the large VGA clock works fast with my qvga phone, but how can i adjust the size? do you have that black one in qvga form?

can you please provide some info regarding skinning, size & format adjustment?
THANKS..GREAT work..waiting for the one with digital clock & maybe date (long/short format please eg. Saturday, 17 November 2007 vs 11/17/2007)

clocks aren't resizable from Retro... you should download REdit (see 1st post), open the clock with it, and then use the "resize clock" function in the Tools menu. Be advised taht resized clocks forcedly look worse than the original ones!...
can you please provide some info regarding skinning, size & format adjustment?skinning...well....skins are layered files (up to 30 layers) with PNG files attached to them, so there's alpha transpparency... try downloading REdit and familiarizing with it ...
THANKS..GREAT work..waiting for the one with digital clock & maybe date (long/short format please eg. Saturday, 17 November 2007 vs 11/17/2007)it will have custom date format and custom text.
I will be available soon... now I'm in a hurry ... thanks for the interest!

If your pocket PC is not english, the setup have placed the wrong key into the registry. Please uninstall and try the file i've updated in the 1st page.

I must say I wanted this clock from the time I saw it only for the Smartphone. It doesn't dissapoint, the hands are especially wonderful.
However, in the mean time, I got used to "Today's Time" plug in, with it's crappy hands, mostly crappy clocks, and it's resetting of options every time my PocketPC is reset or runs out of battery.
So, in order to ween me off of that, I have to do a much smaller clock (all these skins take up WAY too much real estate!) and beg that you consider adding in some other info to the sides it leaves open.
Of all the ugly clock backgrounds that come in the Today's Time, this is the best one I found, but still the hands, yesh! The animation feature sucks too, every time you come to the today screen, it winds the clock from noon, and paralyzes the system. Everytime the phone is reset, you must disable this again.
PS: Your clock installs in a snap, and works far better, you have to go to today settings at least twice to get the Today's Time clock to work.

yes, it's in there. I looked at the pocketweather reg settings, & their .dll is in the windows folder, so i copied ekpclock.dll into the windows directory & changed the registry accordingly, still isn't showing up in the today items.
All of this after uninstalling retro one more time, reboot, install again, not in today items, copied to windows & changed reg, reboot, nothing.

Can you please add a second hand for the modern skin and post the file here?
i have the red clock on vista sidebar & if its possible can you make a pale red second arm to match the one there?
I was also interested in a black skin like Austere but without the wrld map background (plain black with hour marks & a second hand)
Thank you

What do u mean? I have an official ROM which was in there when I bought my device.
I installed SPB time http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/time/?ru - it works :)
Installed LVM Time - it's appeared on today but I hate this stuff too :) There're little differences between it and standard today plug in. The strange app.
I need big analog clock on today screen directly (not as screensaver)
Moreover, I've installed your app on my friend's Gygabite G-smart i128 - same problems.

Same results than galonzo23, same error displayed with your ektptest.exe, and nothing in the today plug in.

1) REdit is to be run on your PC, not your pda!
2) You can't resize clock to bigger sizes, only to smaller sizes.
3) To position it lower, you would need to make a new clock with bigger dimensions... (i'm adding the "canvas resize" functionality for that, in short time)

Hi Friends,
I am new here und installed Retro-clock. It is very nice. But the skin (AustereVGA) is very big for the display of my Orbit (HTC Artemis). I have not enough experience to resize the skins.
Also I need a smaller AustereVGA-skin (more or less 60% of the originally size). could you please help me and send it to me? it would be very nice from you.:)

I reduced the Blue glass clock but I can't figure out how to place it in the install dir. Also, what does the reduced clock file extention need to be?
You can't figure how to place a file on your phone?
Simply connect it to your computer, ensure it is connected with active sync, browse it to the install folder (usually "\program files\retro") and drop the file there.
The file need have a .clr extension.
Redit should append the right extension for you when you save it, correct me if I'm wrong!
Btw, what blue clock are you talkling about? Is there a clock i didn't see?

Thank you for the quick reply. I wasn't clear on the instructions and thought it had to be added to the original install cab by mistake, the names being similar. Yes, I know how to add files to my phone. Thanks for clearing up my confusion. The blue clock skins are found in a post a few pages back, Blue Glass zip i believe it's called created by a senior member. I used Redit to reduce it 75%.
I would make other skins if I knew how since I have time and enjoy doing projects like that. I tried to used Redit to view each part of the clock image, get their dimensions and such, but, as you know, it's not used for that purpose.
I will place the clr file on my phone as you instructed. Thanks again for your help.
After following your instructions, it is now on my phone and working perfectly. And thanks also to davehutch for the Blue Glass skin.

I tried the smartphone version; any chance you can add y position in xml and break the one-line per-plugin restriction, to place it side by side with other plugins (as in MadBeetle clock plugin)?

You have to know that I am very busy in this moment, moreover, unfortunately I don't have a smartphone no more.
Breaking the 1-plugin-per-line requires a great amount of coding, because it has to be done explicitly (windows mobile home screen doesn't support it). I know only 2 plugins that do this.

I played around with Redit and photoshop and figured out the basics for making a clock skin. I don't think it's the best but for my first attempt it's not too bad. Thought I would post a screenshot of it to get some feedback. Thanks.

I made a black retro clock for those of you that have a black theme on your phone. Here is a screenshot so you can see what it looks like on a black background. I'm including a cab file with the black clr file for anybody who wants it. Unpack the cab file and extract the .clr file from it, then sync with your phone and place the clr file in the Retro folder under Programs on your phone.

This is what it looks like on my phone after using Redit to reduce the clock size to 75 percent.

1) REdit is to be run on your PC, not your pda!
2) You can't resize clock to bigger sizes, only to smaller sizes.
3) To position it lower, you would need to make a new clock with bigger dimensions... (i'm adding the "canvas resize" functionality for that, in short time)
When i've extracted the file's name " redit.zip" and then i click on "redit.exe", it couldn't work, here is:" The application failed to initialize properly(0*c0000135). Click on OK to terminate the app". Help me!

I am imagining you installed the cab on your phone when you were supposed to unpack the cab and zip packages and extract the .clr files and place them somewhere on your computer where you can find them, then activesync your phone and use explore to find the Retro folder under Programs and copy the .clr files into that folder. If that is what you did, I suggest that you activesync your phone and use explore to try to find where it placed them (maybe in My Documents???) and move the .clr files to the Retro folder where they belong. I hope that helps.

This is most probably because when the phone is locked, a transparent window is put over the home screen, and Retro stops redrawing when its window (the homescreen) is not in foreground...
Will look into it and fix it.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=353255&page=4
His post is post #37 and he included a zip file with all of them in it. Unzip it and store all the .png clock face images to a folder on your computer. They work great with the Retro Clock plug in. Use Redit to open the Blue Glass clr file found a few posts back in this Retro Clock thread and then highlight the top simple image, click the add/change button under "Background image:" and replace it with any of the .png files from his zip file. They are all 120x120 pixels just like the Blue Glass Retro clock so swapping them out is a breeze. Just choose Save As and type in a name and it will save it as a .clr file to use in the Retro Clock app. Really Simple to do. I'll attach a copy of his zip file here but credit goes to him.

I repackaged the cab for you. Try downloading it again then unpack it and save the clr file on your computer first, then put the Cartier watch clr file into the Retro folder on your phone with activesync. You can delete the first Cartier.clr file at the same time. Sorry about the problem you encountered with the original Cartier cab.

If I understand your question, UL supports embedding plug-ins. I attached a picture of my today screen.
The rest of the Today screen is Ultimate launcher with some iPhone icons for tabs (retro clock is default tab; also have tabs for e-mail, weather, GPS programs, and general programs), a background called reptile_black_blackbars.tsk, and a speed dialer from the Palm devices at the bottom.

Thanks. It's coz i've tried Retro with another plugin that, in theory, supported embedding plugins just like ultimatelauncher... i think it's from SPB, if I remember correctly...
But it didn't work... the seconds hand was still, and the clock had problems with background blending (garbled/corrupted images).
It clearly shows that UltimateLauncher is superior, and that Retro is well coded :D :p

There's a great example of it at http://www.tvradiobits.co.uk/idents/bbc1h.htm
It's the one from pre-1974 near the top.
Just in case anyone has any free time/talent :-)
Edit: Just found a flash version! http://625.uk.com/tv_logos/flash/bbc1_clock_72.asp

Shouldn't be too difficult. I'll see what I can do tonight. Was BBC still displaying the clock in the late 70s? It looks vaguely familiar to me (I was there '79-'80).
Edit: Looked more carefully at your links, and they had switched to a slightly different logo from 74-81.

Awesome! Thanks.
I found an even better link - the "official" BBC flash version. I notice the font is sans serif.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/cult/classic/testcards/
Kind of odd/clever the way each set of "numerals" gets gradually thicker around the clock face.
The 1980 BBC2 clock is also fabulously retro.

It was a bit more challenging than I expected, but here they are, BBC1 clocks '69-'74, & '75-'80. I made them in 3 sizes; you can always reduce them using REdit if they are still too big.

The new versions of Retro And Redit work perfectly!!! All previous clocks still work with the new version of Retro. If the clock has an alarm hand, it corresponds to the alarm you choose (Settings->Today->Items->GMT Retro Clock->Options->Alarm 1, Alarm 2, or Alarm 3), and the alarm hand is only visible on the clock face when the alarm setting is checked under Settings->Clocks & Alarms.(Tap the clock and you will understand.)
I made a Black Alarm clock that is similar to my first black Retro clock, 120x120 each. There are 4 styles in the zip each having a different color for the alarm hand: Red alarm hand, Orange alarm hand, Green alarm hand, and Yellow alarm hand.
A big thanks to thenextone for this update!

Of course not. That thought never entered my mind. :p
Honestly, I was a lttle surprised when I saw all the clocks that I had added to my Retro folder were still there after I upgraded to the new version. That was a very nice surprise!!! You are amazing!
By the way, I have an idea for you to think over that you might like to add as an update. Is it possible to add a little symbol off to the side that indicates whether the alarm is set for am or pm? Maybe something like the small alarm icon that shows on the date line but with the am or pm letters next to it? Is that possible? See mockup photo below.

Here's another novelty sports clock - the RotatingBaseballClock!;) I used a layout similar to the SoccerClock, with a semi-transparent ring, but in a red, white & blue colour scheme. Sizes: 162sq & 120sq
Edit: Although not the original intent of the design, if you disable the second hand (i.e. the baseball), you get a candy-striped ring clock (see 2nd image). Note: This only works on Retro version 1.06c3 .

Since you have no new features planned, here are some suggestions!
- I am starting to have quite a few skins in my collection now, & getting to the options display to switch skins takes 6 taps. A shortcut (maybe a tap&hold) to the Retro clock options would be nice.
- An auto switch mode, to automatically switch skins after a given interval (say a selectable range from 1 -7 days).
- A Retro Clock for the PC desktop!
That's all I can think of for now. And thanks again for implementing & sharing Retro with all of us.

9 retro color clocks to choose from in one easy to download zip file. They are 120x120px each with a file size of only 16KB per clock. Unzip the file and unpack the clock you're interested in, resize it with Redit if you like, and use activesync to place it in the Retro folder on your phone. The clocks are easy to read and below is what it looks like on my phone after I resized them to 96x96px.

I would like to have only the retro clock on my today sceen & i hope i can have it setting in the middle & not high up
other soultions i have now is a CAB called spacer (but it have bugs) or i can put it in UltimateLauncher & put margin from UL

Here is a Retro clock that lets you easily edit the clock face with any image you want. Just take any image, crop and resize it so it is 120x120, and save it as a .png image file. Then use Redit, open the Portrait Clock and swap the image file at the top of the list with your new image. Name it and save as your own personalized clock to use with Retro. You can now have a clock that is also a picture of your girlfriend, boyfriend, dog, cat, or whatever!!! And for the business professionals, you can even use your company logo and really impress your boss with it. :D

OK. Here is the variant but without numbers. The black frame with the hash marks are a part of the clock. The white part of the sample image is just a background and not a part of the clock. This clock skin is also 120x120 in size and the same rules apply as before. Make a 120x120 .png image and swap it with the first image listed in Redit, name and save your personalized Retro clock. Also, so everyone knows, the portrait clock with numbers in the post above is unframed. That is just a black background that i placed it on in the sample thumbnail.

EDIT: now that I think of it, WinZip may display its icon and name on the CAB file and fool you into thinking it's a zip file... just copy the file on the device and try running it. If it comes up with a dialog asking where you want to install the program (if you have an external memory) you're done. Remember to install it in the internal storage!
___________
The file should have downloaded with the CAB extension.
You just rename it with windows, with the context menu.
If you don't see the extension ".zip" at the end of the file name, you should enable the option to view file extension in the Options window located into the Tools menu that comes on any folder on your pc.

I am going to assume you run windows mobile.
You merely need to locate the .cab file, then double-click on it. It is a self-installing filetype, just like .exe.

You're absolutely correct - It is Windows Mobile 6 . . . On a Treo 750 . . .
I took the "cab" file and uploaded it to the Treo using Windows Active Sync 4.5 . . . Once it was in the "Main" Program File on the Treo, I did indeed "double click" on the file to "self" install the program from the "cab" file into the Treo "main" Program folder (as you are suggesting I do now) . . . Once I was done installing the Retro Program, I went back to the Treo Main Program File, where I did find the Retro Folder, however all it had was the 3 files with the extension of ".clr" (I even un"hide" another file) . . . even so, I then "double click" all the files - however, a "warning" popped up that said there was no program associated with any of the file there in the folder . . .
Well that's where I am now . . . :o
I am wondering has anyone else had the same experience . . . Or is it just me . . .
Although, I am not an expert when it comes to computer programing & other technology . . . I usually am not this inept - I do know somethings (Matter of fact, I usually have to help others get around their computers and Phones/PDA/PCC - especially when it comes to the basic programs) . . . but this just has me confused . . .:(
BTW, I do thank everyone for their assistance . . . I just hope I can get this program up and running on my Treo - I do really want to see the time without having to put on my reading glasses everytime I want to know the time or have to start wearing a wistwatch again . . . ;)

You're absolutely correct - It is Windows Mobil 6 . . . On a Treo 750 . . .
Well that's where I am now . . . :o
Look under Start->Settings->Today->Items
There you will see GMT Retro, just check it and it will appear on your Today screen. The 3 clr files you mentioned are the different clock styles that Retro comes with. When you are at Items, you will see a button labeled Options. Select that to choose the clock you want to see on your today screen from the drop down menu. Understand?

Yep - I not only understand . . . I can comprehend what you are telling me . . .
So I followed your directions and guess what . . .
There was no GMT Retro listed in the drop down menu in the items list . . .

I happen to have made it in a 340x340 size. I don't have a VGA device, so I don't know what size clock is best for them???. Here it is in the larger size. This way, you can make it the size you want for your VGA screen with Redit.

FormGuest,
Just wondering if you installed Retro into main memory or SD card? I seem to recall thenext1 saying that it has to be installed in main memory. If you did install it in main memory, then I think you need thenext1 to help you out, because it sounds like you did everything correctly.
BTW, GMT Retro Clock is not on a drop down menu; it should be in the list of Today Items, with a check box next to it. If you are not seeing this, then something is definitely not right (maybe a compatibility issue).

Thanks for asking . . . I believe I did install the file in the main memory and not the SD card as thenext1 instructed us to do . . . As I mentioned in my previous post, I installed the file in the Treo 750 Main Program Folder (using the "explorer" option in the MS Active Sync Program) - double click on the file - which then created another folder in the same main program folder titled: Retro Clock . . . In this folder are the following files: cronometer; elclock; modern and system . . . nothing else . . . Is there a file missing . . . What?
Now if there is something that I am doing wrong I do not know . . .
I have even double checked both the Today screen items list (under the Setting option) and the Program setting for the Retro Clock . . . but alas there is no Retro Clock (or "GMT Retro") listed anywhere in a list or on a screen . . . I have even gone so far as to do a "Hard Set" on my Treo 750 to wipe everything off the PPC and reinstalled the Retro Clock cab file - so there was a "clean" set-up . . . and still nothing . . .
Okay - I guess it is upto those who know . . .
How about it - thenext1 . . . Is there something I am missing - ;) - no not that . . . I meant like a File or something . . .

Ok, I think I know what happened...
After you copied the 'retroppc1.07.2.cab' to your Treo's default directory (when you start Explore from ActiveSync - it is actually the "My Documents" directory), do not double click the CAB file from this Explorer window. Instead, you need to go to your Treo's list of programs and invoke the File Explorer. From your Treo's File Explorer, find the 'retroppc1.07.2.cab' (should be in "\My Documents" sub-directory) and double click on it. This should install it properly. Let me know how it goes.
Edit: I just tried double-clicking from Windows Explorer and that didn't do anything, so maybe that's not it either. thenext1, it's all up to you .. I am out of ideas.

OH - NO YOU DIDN'T - . . . You're giving up now - when in actuality YOU HELPED . . . I treid once again, installing the Retro Clock Program (retroppc.cab) using YOUR suggestion . . . I downloaded the program once again using Active Sync into the "Main" Program Folder (not as you think in the "My Documents" folder) on the Treo 750 . . . The 503EZM.1 by Sinn is the new skin I made for Retro. It is a military special-op watch and can be read about here (http://www.broadarrow.net/ezm1.htm). I made this in a 120x120 size and also in a 300x300 size for VGA screens. The image below shows the the watch with the alarm hand visible. This is a rare, expensive watch that I am proud of recreating for you and I hope you like having this version of it to use with Retro. :D :D :D

a 240X240 clock plugin so that it can be used as the desktop. also, if possible to make it run "behind" the other today plugins?
I also noticed that you have to disable the plugin before you can change the options. it is otherwise stable and awesome!

No, you can't make it run below other plugins by standard means.
You may try using Wisbar Advance Desktop or other similar desktop replacements, but I haven't tried what you ask ....

As I wrote elsewhere, the only requirement should be NET framework 2.0.
If it doesn't run on XP SP1, maybe SP1 isn't compatible with NET 2.0....

Only redit doesn't work.I believe .NET Framework 2.0 needs to be on your PC for REdit to run. To check, on your PC, go to:
Control Panel->Add or Remove Programs
and look for an entry that resemble something like this:
Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 1 Size: 186.00MB
(see picture)
If it is not there then you need to install it (from Microsoft).

I have noticed an issue and a fix:
when you change the settings of this plugin, it MUST be disabled. also noticed that I have to disable the plugin; exit settings; then go back to the settings, change them; exit today settings again; then go back to the today settings and reenable the plugin.
also noticed that the best size I like is 186X186 that way it still alows for another plugin at the bottom without making a stupid ugly scrollbar in portrait, and is fully round in landscape.
Great plugin!
have to look through redit to see abot changing the clock hands. already made some cool faces. Thanx for the plugin! may I cook it into my rom?

If you think your users will appreciate it, you can for sure.
That way you'll also bring some much-needed audience to this plugin :D
Anyway, plugins are disabled only when you close the today settings screen, so it is normal that you have to do that way. This is nevertheless a bug and I'll look into it when I have time.

Here are 2 variants of the mEarth clocks. mEarthA is a more traditional type clock with a second hand. mEarthB has a second hand in the form of the Hubble telescope, & has an earth/woman composite background. Both mEarthA & mEarthB have a ring which can be removed using REdit. Available sizes are:
mEarthA - 119sq, 198sq & 299sq
mEarthB - 120sq, 200sq & 299sq

I cooked the thing into my rom and discovered that I had to change the reg to reflect that it was located in windows with all the clocks.
Here's the funny thing: that issue with changing the clocks with the plugin still working is gone now. just a short delay and works flawlesly.
I do have a (probably a stupid question): I have changed the size of the clock to be the main today plugin (pretty huge) but I would like to be able to change the clock hand sizes to be better visible (and to have them take up as much of the radius as possible 187x187)
Is there a template for the clock hands available? Or do I just make a square transparent png with the hand pointing towards 12?

1st question: If you want me to solve the crash bug, you should find a way to send me the dump files Windows creates when a program crashes, that shuold be "shell32.exe". I don't know if there's a way to save them directly to a file, instead of sending them to MS. May be WM automatically saves them into some Windows subdirectory (like in WinVIsta).
Or else you can copy-paste the crash report data into a Pword file and send it to me.
2nd question: You have to get the source PNG used for the clock (or make a new one on your own) and resize it to the size you want. I haven't implemented scaling because that would take too much time of mine, and much more additional CPU-time, too :P
Yes, the hands should be pictured right at 12 o'clock.

There are a couple of ways you could get the 'hands':
1) Go to REdit & set time to 12:00:00, then disable (uncheck) all the image layers except the one you want. Then simply capture the image and crop/resize.
or
2) Ask the publisher of the clock skin for the hands you want - we'd be happy to post it if you need it.
And yes, hands need to point at 12, but it doesn't need to be square. A rectangular size larger than the clock hand itself will suffice.

Yes, the hands should be pictured right at 12 o'clock.
So the crash bug was fixed with relocating the plugin to \Windows\. That's it. done. Unfortunately, I do not know how to save that crash info... but I do not have to. It may have something to do with it searching for the file in "other folders since most of the today plugins are located in windows and maybe the system wants it there...
My question about the clock hands came about because I could not take the old clock hands out and edit then replace them. I would assume that If I made a png file the same size as the clock, but with the hands set to 12 it should work... right? I wanted to make the hands look kinda like different color and size "radar" as if the old Swatch "seconds" hand that was actualy a circle with a drawing on it. so that it would look like this or something similar with different collors.
