Did a search but didn't see any threads dedicated to this yet. I have an 8525 on AT&T's network. Love the look and interface my bro-in-law has on his T-Mobile phone with the ESPN service. And while I have no delusions of accessing that, what is the best option for me?
After all, I've got HTC Album, the touch's clock and a version of the flash cube, and many other customizations. Seems like there should be SOME decent way of following sports on my phone.

The four I have used (but no longer for various reasons)
1) Google SMS - scores only, lately has not been very up to the minute
2) Yahoo go mobile app - Resource hog!, too many steps just to get to a specific location
3) AvantGo - requires updating/synching (more for articles than scores), I personally did not like the interface
4) SPB Insight - similar to #3, does have a today plugin. But again, more for articles and not scores.

AT&T customers with a data plan can access the MEdia Net which allows up to the minute sports highlights and scores. I was out to dinner with my family tonight and we didn't miss a single point for the Penn State v. Michigan State game.. too bad PSU lost, but oh well. Anywho, I strongly recommend it if you're already paying for the service, why not use it? Plus you can get full team rosters with player bios, schedules, etc. Very cool, so check it out.

From the sounds of it, this app sounds great! However I was wondering if anyone has tried using it with wifi instead of a data plan. Everytime I try it does not recognize that I am connected.

From looking at the code of the program it looks like it tries to connect to "The Internet". I dont know much about this, but I'm guessing that is the name of the internet connection when connected through sort sort of data plan. Does anyone know if the connection name is different when connected through wifi? Or any other thoughts?
