Hi Beast and Laurentius! I've been downloading a lot of your roms for some time now but I guess it's time I become more active. Thanx for a lot of grreat releases. I'm trying to modify your great rom a little bit to fit my needs. So a cooking question; If I want to remove the performace tool, is it sufficient to just remove the .exe file or are there more files to be removed (trying to save my poor battery)? Wouldn't it be great to start a cooking thread regarding the structure of WM6, where to find different apps and what files they usually consists of (and usual whereabouts)?

1. Double-push Green Call button is non-functional

2. Snazzy new Phone Interface has a dud "Talk" button

3. PocketCm looks awesome, but is buggy and is not "input friendly" even though its "user friendly". Try entering/editing any contact info and you will know what I mean even though full-screen has been diabled.

4. Voice Command fails to respond when "Owner Info" screen is displayed by default. If you remove this screen, Voice Command is OK again.

5. Failed to upgrade to radio 1.18 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1679753&postcount=51


Even though I have not tested the WiFi, I will be moving away from this ROM and use Jwright's/Ivans 2.12.06.

Sorry ... I guess I should be more explicit with No. 2

When you input a number, say 0707070 and then press "Talk" ... it works and dials 0707070

After you end the call, you are shown that the last call you made was 0707070. Now, if you didn't enter any new number and then just pressed the "Talk" button ... nothing happens! This is the problem. If you press the "Talk" button at this point or even press the Green Phone button, it should dial the last called number ... which is 0707070.

We do have other jobs too, which pay the bills, I also mentioned that a great deal on at work at the moment, so the time I dedicate to my hobby (this forum) is very limited.

All the known bugs have been posted in the thread along with the majority of fixes, the RGU's are in the Rom and they were also in the last full flavour rom.

If you have time on your hands Equancy, you can decompile both, add the Full Flavour items you wanted along with the fixes and recompile the rom.

Try and see if this works for you. First see if you can Sync via Bluetooth and if you can then you can try this. Start---------------settings-----------------connections--------------------USB to PC and uncheck Enable advanced network functionality.

Not a hard time paying the bills mate, a hard time with the paid employment, currently I have six projects on the go at once at work, and my team is two men down, so I am busy as hell and having to take work home too.

So as much as I enjoy my work here, I've got to get my projects out on time, which unfortunately impacts how much time I can dedicate to you guys.

I have done a bit more on the new kitchen though, I'll post a screenshot in a minute.

I'll try to get the FF (with current bugfixes) out within the next two weeks.

I need another three beta testers please.........first to PM me will get the Betas, I allready have a few, and am guessing Equancy would like to be on the beta too, so I'll PM you a link when the Beta's ready Equancy.

I use my Mda pro which now has your latest ROM 2.08.01 as a USB Modem from time to time. However, I've noticed that in in this release, the two important registry values "idvendor" and "idproduct" in USB SER CLass location are quite different from your previous rom release. Is there a newer version of htc modem driver for windows XP which recognises these new id values? I've manually changed these registry values back to their old values and my WinXP driver successfully recognised the Mda pro as a modem. Perhaps if your time allows you could look into this.

My humor Improved? That is something I never been accused of and I was under the impression, I was always very impressive. Now I have to rethink a few things and look at the whole belief system. I was wondering if there is going to be a beta shouldn’t we all be testing it? A lot more suggestions and a lot more ideas and a lot more work for you but look at the bright side at least that will shut people about the new release for a while.

I think that enabling power management for VPN type L2TP and PPTP won't help much, maybe enabling this for infrared serial port (irsir) will have bigger effect but I think that problem is somewhere else...

I agree ... however, people also tend to forget thinking about the operator network status .. i.e. if the signal is too weak the Radio part will consume more power to keep the call or even to update the handset location while moving .. or in case the network is inforcing frequent location update than average ... also, switching between GSM to WCDMA (if band selection is auto) might increase the power consumption

i have the Vodafone VPA IV, i installed (Beasty & Laurentius 2.08.01) but i have a problem now with the incoming calls!!!, the most of my incoming calls freeze my universal : i dont feel by the incoming calls, when i look to the screen from time to another i see that i got an incoming call but the universal is freezing, i must make a reset to work again!
plus it gives for the caller that i'm not answering for his call!

please is there any solution for my case? and thank u.

i have the Vodafone VPA IV, i installed (Beasty & Laurentius 2.08.01) but i have a problem now with the incoming calls!!!, the most of my incoming calls freeze my universal : i dont feel by the incoming calls, when i look to the screen from time to another i see that i got an incoming call but the universal is freezing, i must make a reset to work again!
plus it gives for the caller that i'm not answering for his call!

please is there any solution for my case? and thank u.

Is your device SuperCID and has the latest BootLoader?
If not please read the wiki and upgrade the BootLoader, SuperCID your device and re-flash the Rom, also please ensure that after flashing you clear the storage.

I cant't find any fix for my Jabra 620S; Phone ok but the best I could do with music is to play bad quality for about 5 sec after which it swiches automatically to main speakers.
Tapping the "talk" button reverses it for another 5 sec...and so on...

There is no SD flash method, not without USB connection anyway.

If the USB port is damaged, have it repaired.

It is easy to resolder it, most shops will charge around £40 to replace and repair.

Check if the USB charger is working to charge your battery and if you can charge, buy a new USB SYNC cable. Did you try to another USB port on the computer?
I have the same problem with one of my 2 qtek9000 I managed repair 1 from the 2. so I have one fully functional and one with screen broken and usb ripped off. I've managed 2 solder only charging contacts and I have the same problem. I'm from Romania and I haven't found any repair shops around so i'm stuck. I found a new display for arround 150€ but still no usb data

I noticed something interesting a while ago, but I took my time to confirm it, and now it seems to be confirmed: USB seems to be unable to fully power the device, battery level drops slowly but surely even when plugged into USB. Wall charger works perfectly, and if I close the lid, USB charges too, albeit slowly.

To confirm this as well ... I made a small test. I charged the battery till it's 100% then I opened the lid and it went to 99% in about 5 min .. then I decreased the brighteness to only one mark and it went back to 100% in less than a minute .. so I took the brightness back to full and the discharging happened again.

so to conclude, the USB charging with this ROM (or maybe all WM6s ?) can't handle any additional power consumption .. I imagine that if the BT and WIFI are on as well or Media Player is working and reading from the SD card, the discharging would be faster.

Sorry for not being able to help you with your Wifi and GPRS issues, since I'm not using B&L's ROM, but faraz.riaz has just posted stating there's nothing wrong there. Perhaps if you reflashed your device....

Just to confirm Beastys remarks, I have had no such problems with this rom either. Wifi and gprs,3G working a treat. Check your settings as well, I spent ages trying to get 3G working on another rom and it was just settings I overlooked. Ive used this rom with 1.17 and 1,18 radio with no troubles

The SD issue should have been fixed now, have you tried setting it to standard in the control panel? This should be working for all now, if not perhaps it is time to get another card................

Hi all,

This build has now been abandoned in favour of a newer build we are working on to support both G3 and G4 devices with 128mb ram. The Rom will still support devices that have not been upgraded, but since Laurentius and I are having our devices upgraded shortly, we both need to be able to utilise the extra memory.

Thus my appologies to all who are waiting for an update on this current version and the Full Flavour version, they will not be delivered now.

Once we have a stable build, testers will be PMd with the Alpha Rom and it will be released shortly after any issues found are resolved.

I know I was more surprised when I heard I have my own ROM version. I take that back, I was not surprised it came to me as a shock. No bad idea, seeing my face on that big screen will scare the ten years of my life and not to mention all the nightmares that will come with it. I wouldn’t mind if you put “Mandy Moore” as a Boot Splash though. No again bad idea then being stuck on the Boot screen would be so painful anymore.
Best of Luck with the new release and remember I really hate this one error more than anything. I will let you take a wild guess “GSM RADIO CRASH ERROR.”:D

Well done BL!! I just installed 2.09.01 yesterday and noticed:

1. Speaker phone not working
2. Talk button doesnt work for "Last Call". works for everything else,but trying to make a call from the "last call" display by using the talk button just takes you to the phone with keypad hidden
3. Volume must be increased to loudest on every phone call. It starts in the middle but I must increase it to the highest via the volume control button... but isnt that supposed to stay?
