Guys,

pls include an empty extended rom in the package if it is meant to be empty. Otherwise a lot of people will again flash with "old" extended roms still in place.

Just a suggestion,

looking forward to the update!

Laurentius26
16th November 2007, 04:50 PM
Yes you making a point here.

Extended ROM isn't empty btw, today black theme and MS Voice Command will be triggered from there. Extended ROM should be unlocked before you flash.

Extended ROM (hidden) is included in ROM.
Please keep it that way if you want everything to function ;)

Cheers,

Leo :)

But.
What is fixed?
Which bugs are fixed which ones not yet?
Battery drains itself quickly after %40-50 level.
This is not battery problem!
Sometimes Iexplore and Opera and other internet apps closes themselves.
RealVGA 1.1 seems not included? ( 128 dpi mode better than older version )
sometimes phone rings too late ( while wifi open )
My friends says : "Why you too late answer to calls"
and
I say "Nooo I take it at first time..."
but when I've self proofed then I saw that was real.
Phone ringing too late.
I must to use regedit for changing msn account?
There is no way to changing account.
HDD-mode still has problem with SDHC cards ( sometimes unaccesable and sometimes very slow )
SDHC cards works slower than normal SD's
Exm : I can put a mp3 (3-4 min / 128 bits) file to SD card with in 20-25 seconds but with SDHC cards takes more than 40 secs.
With usb SDHC reader it's takes 10 seconds.
Transcend Class 6 : 6-24 mbps
But no problem I can live with this :)
important things are :
RealVGA 1.1, Battery ( most ) and internet.

Other side:
This rom is Faster! which is I've ever seen.
Fast boot, quickly ready for use, fast bluetooth, no problem with wifi ( I've never problem seen ) Perfect SD read/write speed ( internal )
Good sound quality ( Has universal a sound processor? like Axim? )
Good graphical interface. ( not dialer )
useful softwares, useful tools, useful menu.

I think I don't need latest rom upgrade ( if like this )
Beasty can you write more about your new rom?
Excuse me for my hard reviews :)
but these are real.
Many thanks for your masterworks. and you have not any salary for this job I know and I give my gratitudes to you.
Regards.

More will be revealed as and when I have time to list everything.

Tonights release will be Business Rom as you see it.

I will make another full flavour with this build and also Vanilla.
The Full Flavour will be much improved over the last one, with better graphics and speed and more apps.

Hard reviews are fine, if you don't tell us the problems we cant fix them, no offence taken at all mate.

The SD speed is related to the speed of the Bus, we can increase it a little but stability will be lost if we do.

Hi there Beasty and Leo! First of all I would like to thank you for your great work and the big efforts you guys put in making us some very nice ROM's!

But I've got some questions about the upcoming release which you guys, the experts, might be able to answer... Let me give them numbers, so it will be faster for you to refer to the different questions:

1. I've recently updated my T-mobile MDA Pro with your 2.07.04 ROM (very nice looks and quite stable for me). Ever since I updated my battery can't last longer then about 12 hours (no WIFI enabled, network set to GSM instead of UMTS). Will this be the same in the new release? (Or did I forget to change some settings or so)

2. The A2DP works but the speed is not very high... When I set my car-radio to be my bluetooth stereo audio output, I get a few seconds of music and then I don't hear anything at all for about 30 seconds or so... Perhaps the problem lies in the hardware, but I'm not sure about that. Please let me know whether this is a hardware, software or radioversion specific problem

3. When I try to call a person from my contacts list by typing his name (starting at the today-screen) the dialer opens after pressing the first letter, but I can't search for names or so. Also dialing a number by using the keyboard is not possible. Will the new dialer fix this problem ?

Please let me know whether these "bugs" are fixed in the upcoming release (which I would like to install anyway). Keep up the good work guys! Very much appreciated!!!

Last question; any idea when the full flavour will be released to the public?

Hello Everyone,

I've just flashed the new release and was testing some parts of it while I was syncronizing.

I love seeing all the opened programs above in the task bar, which is easy to switch to any of them, and close any (just like our PC's windows)

I also tested the Camera, and I'm happy to say it is working great (till now, will test again when loading all the programs into the phone memory..)

Thanks a lot for boht of you Beasty and Leo, and thanks also for your patience with all the users :D

I also tested the Camera, and I'm happy to say it is working great (till now, will test again when loading all the programs into the phone memory..)

Thanks a lot for boht of you Beasty and Leo, and thanks also for your patience with all the users :D

By the way, I've no problem at all with my normal 2GB SD card on this rom ;)

Could it have anything to do with a visible ExtROM?

Redial problem is still on this rom (at least with me), when I press dial button, nothing happen, if I pressed VC buton ( it tells me that the 3G network is not available, do you want to make a voice call instead? then it works if I pressed OK) this is if I was choosing GSM as my network type, if my network type is WCDMA, both buttons are not working, the only way to redial is from the call history

did anyone faced this problem also.

I'm sorry for saying that

but I've opened a lot of programs ( word , excel, ppt, contacts, .........)
after closing them all (using the X button) I started the camera and I got the message of the buffer memory.

I restarted the phone and did all the above again, the phone hang :(

after restarting the phone for the second time, I did all the above but this time I checked the memory on start --> settings --> system --> memory, and found that after closing all the programs from the X button, non of them is still presists in the memory, then I used the hibernate programs which came with the rom, then I started the camera, but the phone hang again :(

Okay, I don't know what I did, but it seems to be working.
Is this 1.18 Radio release a fixed one, since I1ve had some problems with the original one. For now, I'm going back to 1.15, since that was the last stable release I tried.

Two questions though:
1) Can I upgrade radio ONLY by running RUU with only radio.nbf present? Will it need a hard reset, or will a soft reset do?
2) What improvements do radio upgrades offer? better signal quality, increased range, or what...?

Camera Buffer Error NOT CONFIRMED!
Works like a charm for me, even when set to Storage card(that used to cause the trouble for me).

However:
- 3GP files not playing at all, WMPlayer says: "The source filter for this file could not be loaded"
- In PocketCM, skin under "Phone" is misaligned, numbers slipping into the letters

So far, these are my issues. Besides not being able to customize everything, but I guess that's the limitation of the Business flavour:D

I1ll keep you posted on the updates.

- Radio ROM took some time to burn, but EROM and OS images were flashed very quickly! Overall ROM flash time very nice (~10 min)!
- Initial Vista Grass bootscreen and following stock Windows Mobile screen very professional choices
- First time boot + configuration + customization time ~ 5 mins (not bad considering what you get after the wait is worth seeing)
- Boot time ~ 1.5 min (again not that bad at all)
- Responsiveness/speed of OS very nice considering that it's loaded with probably everything you need in a PDA
- Phone Dialer is beautiful!
- Automatically picks up all the ringtones from the SD card, nice! Nice collection of builtin ringtones as well :)
- 30mb of ROM available (after installing my own tid bits) ... WOW :D
- New keyboard looks nice and different but i would prefer the black PocketCM Keyboard (installed already)!
- Camera working fine for me so far!
- Overall usability and choice of applications: AWESOME!
- I miss the pBar slightly, but we'll know in a day or two if thats something we can live without!

Hopefully, won't have bugs to report even after 2 days :) I just see ALOT of new stuff to play around with! Great work guys! really impressive!

catch-22
17th November 2007, 08:51 AM
thanks BeastyLeo for yet another WM6 release.

these are my initial findings & feedback:

looks stable at the moment

wpa-psk/tkip working great as posted above

the sim toolkit has no shortcut in the programs menu although it's available inside \windows directory. it's not working also even when activated manually.

the standard sip keyboard doesn't display well under pocketCM new sms application. it appears on the lower left side of the screen & bottom part is hidden.

pBar dropdown icon "overlaps" clock. it's not the pBar problem because this doesn't happen on other roms.

not the fastest rom around but overall aesthetically good & stable one! congratulations guys!

Hi there Beasty / Laurentius

Thank you very much for your effort in building this Fast & Stable ROM.

I just received my O2 XDA Exec exactly 1 week ago and my first order of business to flash it with your 2.05.05 FF ROM.

Anyway, i have been learning the HyperCore Kitchen and have successfully done the following, (again, thanks to Laurentius for his instructions in the forum)

1. Dump ROM
2. Remove unwanted CABs
3. Rebuild OS
4. Flash

My only dilemma left is how do i add my own programs to the ROM? I want to make the following softwares as part of the ROM.

SPB Phone Plus (optional)
SPB Finance (must have)
SPB Time (optional)
Pocket Mechanic
TCPMP
Flashlite

Also, how do i edit the registry before building the OS, as i wish to make the following modifications.

1. Set my STORAGE CARD as the location for storing my emails (currently, it will store the emails in the internal memory but the attachments is external).

2. Set MY DOCUMENTS to be on the external card only.

3. Set STORAGE CARD as the location for any data such as Notes, pictures, etc. Although i believe transferring the PIM to storage card is not possible.

Thirdly, I am going to remove a couple of items that i dont need such as

Bluetooth Keyboard & mouse
Windows Live
Messenger

What is the impact of the changes? Do i have to edit elsewhere or just remove the directories in the SYS folder?

I hope you can teach me. You may PM me and exchange email address then we can pick up from there.

For this ROM, so far only minor issues.

1. I thinks there is still memory leak. I flashed this ROM about 13 hours ago, went to bed, then there is like 82 missed calls (I was in deep hibernation), and the RAM drops to 11 MB RAM even after using the hibernate function. There are no apps running.

2. The PocketCM phone skin seems to have overlapping digits and letters.

3. I cannot sync NOTES with my active sync (i cannot turn on the option to sync Notes)

Thats the issues i am facing, thanks for the GREAT WORK by the way.

- I just noticed that you're overclocking the processor to 624MHz by default. Since this can cause MAJOR damage to some (unlucky) devices, i would recommend that you change that in your next release and inform everyone using this

release!

- Can't find a Media Player that runs GVI, FLV, DivX and XVid formats ... missing TCPMP! (This isn't negative feedback, just a point ... people need to accept the fact that a ROM can't do whatever they damn well please, some things need

to be installed by the users themselves)

- Love the Adobe PDF Reader! No more repainting the entire page when you scroll down a single line ... very nice!

- Bug: I opened the phone dialer, went into phone history, closed phone history and closed the phone dialer ... but the phone history still shows as an opened process in the taskbar. Closing it doesn't help, you need to terminate :S

Anyone else facing this issue?!?

I'll drop in with more stuff in a bit!

Great Rom Beasty / Laurentius

This ROM is indeed fast and stable. No problems with SD card on my G4 Mda Pro. I would just like to confirm a couple of issues mentioned by other posters. I tried to report these in your bug tracker website but you haven't provided us with the login and password.

1- PocketCM for contacts shows letters and digits bundled up. The bottom menu items are not all visible, for example, I cannot see the options, close, minimise, etc. menu items. I'm looking into downloading original cab file for PocketCM to correct this.

2- Performance settings: Overclocking of the ROM is set to 624MHz by default which could cause display or software carsh issues for some users.

Thank you again for this brilliant effort.

Yes this ROM is less packed.....

I'm currently testing the ROM as well and it looks to me that power has improved. The battery life is a lot longer than usual.

How old is your battery?

Are you on the new build (2.08.01) ?

So.... if you use RealVGA 1.1 your not on 2.08.1 I assume, because it's not implemented in this release.

Update your device with the new release and let me know if it works ;)

Just spoke to Beasty and full flavour we release one week after yes, hope you don't mind!

I will wait full flavour ( cuz : I don't want install softwares again again again again... )

Backup-Restore Is not useful.( I've got boot-up and software crashes )

Meanwhile :
Helmi_c or Ivan may help about screen issue ( RealVGA 1.1 )
Cuz they're software developers I think.
May you are too, thats why I've asked about screen issue.
I'm also amateur-programmer ( but only Delphi 5 / 7 / 2007 versions ( I don't know .NET technology)
I've just began to C++ language (It's very hard, I've not any sources ( Turkish or Dutch )

Whatever.
Thanks for your hard work.
Regards.

Good luck with programming.

Apparently, the minimized tasks in the taskbar don't make me feel so bad i don't have pBar installed! :)

Had some trouble with the SD card (don't know if it's really a bug or just my luck) ... the contents of one of my folders went missing, and came back when i reinserted the SD card!

On a much much much much more positive note, i've installed every app and game i have, on my JASJAR using this ROM (everything is working beautifully) and i haven't noticed any major memory leaks or hangups or show-stoppers. Everything works like a fresh ROM even though i've got loads of stuff installed! p.s. i'm not even overclocking the processor presently! Great stable ROM, cheers!

Still awaiting your response regarding releasing the Dialer, Keyboard and enhancement apps CABs!!

I've been in here for some time - Qtek 9K for 2years...
I won't be adding anything new, but this is the BEST rom among the 20 some I've been testing/using over the time. I will not say by far the BEST rom, because of the work that's being made by some other excellent devs in here. This community could move mountains, I feel the force and so does my sidekick.

Congrats on the finissimo job you did on this one. Stable, blazing fast, packed with the "PDA Essentials of What a PDA is 4 Edition" and insaningly fast.

Keep up the good work for ALL the developers at xda, dido for Beast and Laurentius and enjoy the deserved releaf from the project, will be checking your work ad aeternum.

PS: Not important but on initial boots, would use the thing 4 2 minutes and would get Random "GSM Radio Crash"es (so much for the stable component), tried downgrading R 1.15.00 and continued with GSM crashes, after some usage spoolup, the darn thing just stopped crashing and is now smooth as silk... (strange) Is this any known behavior? Can I try to upgrade back to R 1.18?

Hi Leo and Beast,

In your previous ROM, when viewing the Calendar in 'Week' or 'Day' view, each of the appointments had their description written on them (like in normal Outlook) - however in the new ROM they have reverted to being plain blue boxes

Other than that - this ROM is excellent!!

Hi,

It's great to see that you like the ROM so much!

About the cab's, I'm sorry but I'm not going to do that for you :(
If you like these apps so much I'm suggesting that you decompile the rom and take them yourself, I'm sorry about that.

Leo ;)

Upgrading to radio 1.18 I would recommend yes.

I know about the radio crash, I had it myself one time after hardreset.
It's realy strange and I can't figure out why this happens. (still searching for this)

Here too it vanished after that one time experience ;)

great work Broooo thxs.. today.. i'll try Imaginet.Arabizer.suite.v2.b342.Full.. :)

I installed IMAGINET 343 and works perfectly (see the 1st 2 pics) except the real keyboard .. but I can live very happily with the soft keyborad :)

my only concern with this ROM is the remaining program memory after hard reset ... the total memory is something like 49 MB and the remaining is 22 MB after hard reset .. and about 16 MB after some decent applications installation (only Arabization and CallSMS_Blocker are memory residents) ... I 'm not sure what can be done to reduce this utilization (if it's high) ... maybe to use a vanilla version ?

P.S: the images are in QVGA size just for illustration

Hi,

Even with that low amount of mem your Uni will rock because there's a pagefile (6mb) set which can take over when your mem gets low.(thanks Beasty) :D Great news Arabizer works!

About the hardkeyboard.... maybe this can be fixed too in later bug release, will see about that. ;)

For everyone, who doesn't like the default text in PocketCM for the removal of contacts, here's how to change it:
Use ActiveSync to pull "settings.ini" from the Windows directory of your device, and open it with notepad.
Then scroll down until you start seeing things that say "contactdetailpanel". Here, you need to add two lines to the end of this section, namely
contactdetailpanel.contactdetail.removecontact.dia log.title=<Title>
contactdetailpanel.contactdetail.removecontact.dia log.text=<Text>

Obviously, you replace title and text with the title and text of your choice.
Next, you need to use Activesync to push the file back onto the device, overwriting the previous. Make sure you quit(not just minimize, but fully close) PocketCM while you do this!
Next time when you try to remove a contact, the dialog will look slightly better with meaningful text instead of a variable's name.;)

Good luck guys!

In bug release version I will remove Pocketcm.

You can close it by tapping the upper right corner too. It will minimize like every other app when you press the X.

By the way, I like pocketCM, and it's not buggy, I just posted a way to fix the dialog text(I would have done it sooner, had my computer not gone straight to hell yesterday without telling me goodbye:mad:)

yeah, but the confirmation dialog for removing the contact in question, by default after flashing, has no title or text set, that's why it displays the name of the missing variables(I guess, I'm no programmer:D). By adding these two lines to the correct section of the ini, you give it the text to display, and you gotta admit having meaningful text there looks better than the original jumble;)

It would be nice, if you could make a CAB out of this, since I
a) don't know how to make one
b) no longer have the tools that might be required for the job since I formatted my computer:mad:

Thanks in advance if you do, in the name of all users of your ROM, and if you don't have time/want to/etc, guys, see my post on how to put sensible text there;)

Everything still working like a charm. I've got 2 issues that you guys might be able to solve:

1) I need to get rid of the default Contact Manager app, and since it's not listed in the Add/Remove Applications panel, i was wondering how i could get the WM6 default plain sucky version :) This Contact Manager, somehow, automatically sticks itself to the taskbar whenever i reply to a sms without me ever opening it!

2) Is there any easy way to make your own "Start Menu" (like Quick Menu 2.7)? Ideally the QuickMenu 2.7 is great, but i want to stick with that menu and YOUR windows icon (not the orange Q icon)! Quick Menu 2.7 doesn't mix well with the UI on this ROM.

Looking forward to easy ways to get this stuff done, as only B&L can do that!

Hi,

1) decompile the dowloaded ROM image, switch PocketCM for the default CM salvaged from another ROM, recompile, flash, voilá. About the easy way: there is none, just the hard way...It's integrated into the rom. As for the "stick itself to the taskbar", just disable WKTask, and nothing will stick:D

2) I dunno, keep asking around. Maybe you can change the default Q icon somewhere in the program. Use ResHack, and switch the icon to one of your liking.

Good luck friend!;)

Congrats on this new rom!! I have never been replied before, so i would like to ask how really can afect this overclocking set by default to 624mhz, should I take it back to 520 mhz? any recommendations?
Also I´m still having some problems with dialer, when someone calls me apears just the half of the information, maybe I can solve this with 128 dpi real vga.
And for last my signal problem persists, any recommendations?

@ orb3000
Overclocking basically forces your 520 MHz processor to boost up it's speed to 624 Mhz (and sometimes 670MHz) but it greatly increases the chance that your device will hang, crash, screen will go white etc etc, it voids your warranty as well if you still have that :) If nothing bad happens, you just get a good boost in speed! At the end, it's your call if you want to risk it or not!

@ B&L
Noob alert: I understand the process you described to get rid of PCM, and i'll let you know when i try that! But what exactly are RGUs??!? got no experience in ROM cooking yet! :)

This ROM is about perfect. My compliments with the great achievement.

One question though. Is it possible for B&L to remove pocketCM for us and give us back the old trusted contact manager without having to wait a week for the next version?? I have great difficulties with pocketCM's interface and will need to flash back to your previous version as contact manager is about the most used program next to mail.

I sawe the previous posts about decompiling the ROM, funny, maybe in my next life when I will be reborn as brilliant as B&L......

Hi there,

Go to Sbp Mobil setting and there you can change the softkeys. One of your softkey is set for the regular contact, which opens up the PocketCM and the other softkey is set for Spb contacts, which opens up the Spb contact menu.

Though to preserve space both the captions on the today screen show up as contacts. Just like your jpg image!

I noticed something interesting a while ago, but I took my time to confirm it, and now it seems to be confirmed: USB seems to be unable to fully power the device, battery level drops slowly but surely even when plugged into USB. Wall charger works perfectly, and if I close the lid, USB charges too, albeit slowly.
Has anyone else noticed this?

Problem : When playing music using my BT stereo headset, music stop for 1 or 2 seconds sometimes continuously. I've tried all the solution on this forum bt still the same. Just wondering if there's any solution to this problem. Guru's Beasty and Leo revert for the solution:confused:

Got the same problem. My setup is complicated: I have BT Headset, 2 wireless BT headphones and wireless stereo in the car. Car and headset work great. Headphones- same problem as you describe. The only way I can get it to work (I am on vanilla of previous release by Beasty & Laurentius)is having headphones turned on while SR the device. The A2DP thread started by Laurentius also mentions sbc.dll. I have not researched that yet.

Thanks for the rom Guys. Any chance of vanilla version?

Got the same problem too

Hi all,

The problem with Bluetooth is the many different devices, their capabilities and the capabilities of the stacks.

The reason this stack is included is because I modified it to work perfectly with the Moto HT820 and my Car kit.

Can someone with issues try the Broadcom stack, or JWs Rom and report back if the A2DP issues still occur, they shouldnt with JWs as it is a newer stack, however it does not work with my Moto or car kit.

If someone can provide the above feedback, I may be able to implement a working stack for the rest of you in another release.

Cheers,

Beasty

Hi Beasty Leo,
This new ROM is verry great !
I Like this ROM, but I have one small problem with IR.
IR not correctly work :-(.
In Noiremote Deluxe, or Vito Oscioloscope. Appplication write: The Infrared port is already udes by another application, but i not used another application :-(. I tested setings IR port on COM port no. 1,3,6,7,9.
Interesting is write IR commands from TV infra remote to my Universal, this operation is without poblem....

not all USB sockets get powered evenly. also 500Ma gets split between 2 ports usually so if one port has something plugged in it will be using part of the shared supply.

Try another USB port.

hope this helps

Hey Beasty,

I'm running Jason's 2.12.06 ROM. A2DP works really fine with my Lubix NC1 stereo headsets. AVRCP (with WMP) fails to accept the "stop" operation, though (Play, Pause, FF, and Rew are fine). However, HFP is truly buggy. It refuses to handle the Lubix, and sometimes fails to properly handle my Samsung WEP410 as well.

Jason's old 2.02.02 ROM (build 15341.0.0.0 (if I'm not mistaken) had a perfect BT stack, IMHO. I could use my Lubix for phone calls (both activating CVSD for outgoing calls, and answering incoming calls) with that ROM, besides its truly working A2DP and AVRCP (in which the "stop" operation worked). I think he might be trying to port that stack to a cab file now, but he's facing some problems. Fingers crossed! :D Perhaps you, Leo and Jason could work together on this complex matter (if you are not already doing so :) ).

Cheers!

Hi,

Yes this ROM is less packed.....

I'm currently testing the ROM as well and it looks to me that power has improved. The battery life is a lot longer than usual.

How old is your battery?

Are you on the new build (2.08.01) ?

Nope, I just want to install 2.08.01. My battery is just above 1 year old. Almost one and a half. Will installing the new ROM fix this battery problem? Thanks!

Ηι. Ι have just installed the previous ff version and i have the gsm crash problem whenever the battery drops low. No other rom has ever caused a similar issue. I have seen several reports about that so forgive me if i am asking that once more but am i going to face the same problem with your newest rom? I need to have a reliable phone. Anyway, congratulations for your admirable job.

The same problem in my device. But I found that after crash I can connect to power source to charge for only boot, later without long charging device is working properly until 40% of battery. Charshing was at 60% of battery.

One problem more ir WiFi signal level indicator. It is only full or empty, but not percentage.

 Beasty/Leo please consider the 'release' of PocketCM. Version .16 is a development version, which is not even in its beta stage. Is this really the version that should be in a good Business release?

 This seems a contraversial subject as people are asking how to remove it. Personally, I love it - BUT it has to be configured correctly. Please take a look around http://www.pocketcm.com/beta.php for downgrading to a much better version (.15) for normal use. The theme I use is Orange Glow (Q)VGA (just save it to "\Program Files\PocketCM\" and select it from PocketCM.15 [after installing .15]) read more about it at http://pocketcm.com/phorum/read.php?8,3617,4569 (you can download it from here and see some shots of it).

:) I love the additions you put in your ROM, many which I didn't know exist (a memory free bar which takes 1k, wow, takes me back to my P.E.T). I don't know if the recommendation came from Quentin to put .16 in your ROM , but I have switched back to version .15 with a good theme. It really sells the product and hopefully keeps those that are on the fence looking forward to the .16 beta release.

Thank you,

It was a mistake to implemente PocketCM v.0.16, it's cool and I wanted it because sms is fixed in this version people where telling me, so I gave it a try :D

In the next bug release I will take it out and will wait this time for a stable version, it's a pitty but I think that would be better.

This way people can install the app them selves if they like!

Hi guys,

Great work on this ROM, looks to be exactly what I am looking for.

I foolishly flashed my SPV M5000 with this ROM without updating the bootloader or super CID'ing my device (I used the patched RUU that bypasses CID checking). Now my device will not boot at all! I can get into the bootloader menu but cannot start the OS.

Can someone help me fix it or tell me what I did wrong?

Thanks.

Hi,

Enter Bottloader mode, and upgrade the Bootloader, then re-flash the Rom.

If it still fails after this, use MTTY to format the DOC.
If you still need help post back.

Hi Beasty and Leo,

just a simple question; Will all the minor tweaks and updates (as described in the posts above, after the great 2.08.01 release) be implemented in the Full Flavour version which you are planning to release soon? I'm still running on the 2.07.04 version (don't have enough time to test all releases you guys bring us) and would like to upgrade to the 2.08.01 FF Rom once it's ready. (Can't wait for it to be released, have to be patient, I know)

Could you perhaps give me some short answers to my previous questions too?

Keep up the good work!

Guys I love your ROMs and had the previous build installed and didn't want to change. Then I upgraded to 128MB RAM and had to change to mamaichs letest ROM to take advantage of it. Any chance of seeing the Patch included any time soon? It would be much appreciated.

If it could be included in the new kitchen thats coming out that would be a BIG bonus!

I'll even offer some replacement RAM chips for the 128MB upgrade as an offering . (Would offer to upgrade but wouldn't trust myself with someone elses device)

Hi Beasty,

I tried to update the bootloader following the instructions here (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Universal_Bootloader) but my bootloader is still at version 1.00. Someone noted on that wiki page that they are having the same problem I am. Is there something else you have to do to get the bootloader to update?

Hi, do you mean changing JASJAR ROM to 128MB? if so, how?

10x

Just to so that everyone is clear.

The ROM is still the same i.e. 128MB

I have upgraded the RAM from 64MB to 128MB and yes with mamaichs build I have full use of it. It involves taking your universal apart, desoldering the old chips, putting new ones back on, shorting two pads and flashing to a new ROM.

If you look under the Universal upgrading section you'll see what I'm talking about. - Many thanks go out to Mamaich for his hard work!

To my opinion, they are great addition. I just love PocketCM, the skin & everything.

The PocketCM definitely needs some tweaking for proper display in Landscape mode.

The WMTask, need to be configured to EXCLUDE certain tasks such as tmail.exe (SMS & Outlook) and PocketCM so they will function and appear fast. Otherwise, the message centre takes ages to load.

For the charging via USB, yes it is much much more slower.

Battery drain is good, but my remote desktop app looses connection when i shut down the lid or the device auto power off. Is is suppose to behave this way?

Battery life even more amazing. at 8 am this morning till 6 pm, only used up about 25% from 62% till 37% (usually will suck up 50% at least)

ZERO crashes, hangs, freezes, whateva problems...

Only Notes not syncing with Outlook

Used SPB Finance, Bluetooth Voice + Stereo (around 1 hour), WiFi (around 30 min), made some calls, lots of SMS, picture viewing, played some music (about 15 mins), watched short videos (5 mins) , tinkering around....

Anyway, my UNI is still brand new, only 11 days old.

Got problem with this rom. I've upgraded the rom and the final message is showing the upgrading successful. Even the msg from Uni screen indicates upgrading successful. But when I rest the Uni, press 0 to restore system with new room. The rom indicate clearing and okay msg but that were the last sign my Uni can show. By following it the screen going black. Dunt know wot to do. Any suggestion?

Hi,

Have you upgraded your bootloader, if not please do so and re-flash the Rom.

You can press & Hold the BackLight and Power Buttons whilst pressing the reset button with the stylus to enter back into bootloader mode.

Cheers,

Beasty

Hi Beast and Laurentius! I've been downloading a lot of your roms for some time now but I guess it's time I become more active. Thanx for a lot of grreat releases. I'm trying to modify your great rom a little bit to fit my needs. So a cooking question; If I want to remove the performace tool, is it sufficient to just remove the .exe file or are there more files to be removed (trying to save my poor battery)? Wouldn't it be great to start a cooking thread regarding the structure of WM6, where to find different apps and what files they usually consists of (and usual whereabouts)?
Thanks again
