With my 8525, i connect just fine to all access points. However, when i try to browse the internet, I get the message "Page cannot be found. Please check spelling and try again". I get this message with all with web sites. I know there's something wrong becase this happens even on unsecured networks like airports, coffee shops etc. I recently upgraded to the to the new version that was released for PTT(Pust To Talk). Be sure that you are disabling the Proxy (assuming you are using an AT&T ROM). The WM6 ROMs from AT&T use a different method to manage proxy and it is ON by default. You should have two little apps called "Disable Proxy" and "Enable Proxy". Always run "Disable Proxy" before accessing anything besides your MediaNet GPRS account via the cell network. In other words, if you are accessing via wi-fi or if you are accessing "My ISP" or some other non-MediaNET account, disable the proxy first.

I've disabled the proxy on my 8525 and it seems to have done the trick. I've since been able to browse the internet using a wifi hotspot
i hope it continues to work
thanks

I've had success with the disabling of the proxy. However, sometimes in the middle of browsing i get the same message "page cannot be found...." and the the page progress indicator says "locating". it's like the proxy setting is not maintained. Can anyone provide some assistance in how this can be avoided......PLEASE?
