Hi. I currently have an 8525 and have been using Outlook + Activesync
for a while now.
However, I recently downloaded Thunderbird and find it much more
intuitive than Outlook.
I wanted to know how to are sync thunderbird to my 8525.
I'm not very familiar on setting up "servers" so I would really
appreciate the help.
If you need, my AIM is "samz465".
A response back is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi Sam,
You may download a funambol plug-in for WM5 on their website and install it on your WM5 / 6 device, then connect your WM device to your computer which installed Activesync and able to make your device online, and make sure all your thunderbird PIM information sync to your Funambol v6 server already, at final - you start the Funambol plug-in on WM device and sync all information from Funambol.
BTW, I am using Funambol V6 on my WM6 HTC-Touch and my Vodafone 1210 SP also, found it is a pretty good solution for non-M$ push mail and wireless PIM sync solutions. :)

Ok, but how do I configure the client?
It's asking for like "server name" and stuff.
I have everything installed, I just don't know how to configure the client and DB setups.

Birdie Sync (http://www.birdiesync.com/) is a very easy alternative. It's cheap, updated almost weekly, and there's a good trial period. I love it, keeps all my thunderbird/lightning information synced and backed up.

I've used BirdieSync before.
I really liked it, but my trial ended and I don't want to pay $27 for something to sync my computer to my cell phone.
That's why I looked into funambol.

My phone had been fine since I flashed it in January, but I installed Funambol on the 11th, and the 12th my phone was dead. I can't access anything and no programs work. Has anyone else had this problem?
