HTC ALBUM-How are images sorted?

My pictures (all from camera) appear in a weird order-it's not by date, date modified, date taken, date created, or by name. Any ideas on how they are sorted? It's a nice program but this seems it's only flaw-and you cannot choose how they are sorted from within the program.

Pictures are ordered by descendand date and time of the files (not the date when the photos were taken, but the timestamp of the image archives).

Anyone knows if the sorting criteria can be changed anywhere (in the registry, etc.)?
