I have an at&t 8525 and downloaded TCPMP to watch movies. Whenever I open a movie, the screen goes crazy. It looks like a TV when there is no signal, you know, like snow. It does the same with a few movies so I know that the movies are not the cause.

Did I download a bad version of TCPMP? Does TCPMP not work with the Hermes? Are there some settings that I am missing?

Thanks.

You don't say which version of TCPMP you are using, but try version 0.81 from DiStefano's CAB collection

Don't forget to follow the instructions in his 4Winmobile link which also has the ATI bug fix

http://www.4winmobile.com/forums/htc-hermes/10022-updated-hermes-tcpmp-v0-81-unofficial-hybrid-media-player-all-codecs-here.html

It all works great for me.

I was using 72RC1. I followed your advice and removed the previous install and installed .81. Same problem. The player opens fine, when I select Open File and then choose a movie the screen starts to shake to the point where I can't see a thing. Has anyone else seen this?

Try the ATI fix, and also change the video mode (options->video) to ATI IMAGEON. I had the same problem, and that fixed it.
