Can't sync sub folders

I have an MDA Vario II which is getting quite old now but isn't up for renewal yet (arghhhh). It has lots of faults and it is really getting on my nerves.

The latest is that using activesync I cant sync all the outlook inbox subfolders each time with re-ticking the boxes each time - which is inpractical.

Is there a solution to this or is there another program that doesn't cost me money that will do it. I dont want to pay to give myself the functionality that it used to have and that my MDA3 definately had in the first place - I wish I hadnt 'upgraded' it has always felt like a 'downgrade' to me.

I went through this too, because I use Exchange and I didn't want to sync those folders. WMDC doesn't give you an option of which folders to sync. I would up buying PDASync from LapLink software because it was that important to me.

That doesn;t make sense. I do have the option to sync the subfolders in Inbox but I have to tick the boxes every time I need to sync- which I can't do because I have loads.

I had the MDA3 previous to this and it remembered what I wanted sync - and had older not newer software. Is nobody else having this problem. Does nobody need to sync their entire (or a selection) of their outlook email and attachnments on every single sync?
