WoW,

Just given a three hours trial to the Beasty & Laurentius 2.08.01 with my Motorlla HT820!

All I can say is WoW!

From Allman Brother to Janis Joplin, Bad Company, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Styx, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Stevie Nicks, Pearl Jam, Santana, Moody Blues, Doobie Brothers ....... I am rocking away non-stop and non-fading out!

WoW! Even couple of times restarted the Uni in the beginning to see the effect of soft reset. WOW!

I am lacking for words for my appreciation to BeastyLeo!

Best regards,

KOR! :) :D

Hi there,

Seems like the masters BeastyLeo have outdone themselves again. Kudos to them! :D

When they promised that they will have the Motorola HT820 working flawlessly in their latest ROM, I was skeptical. The claim that it has been working for them for the two weeks while testing their latest ROM was taken with a grain of slat by me.

So, when Beasty & Laurentius 2.08.00 came out, the first thing I did was to peek in the registry at A2DP Settings. What I found is what we have been usuing for a long time.

UseJointStereo = 1
BitPool= 30
MaxSupportedBitPool = 30

What? Isn't UseJointStereo = 1 is mono sound and if the UseJointStereo = 0 than it is stereo sound. So, I didn't pair my HT820 and moved on.

Finally, when I flashed the latest ROM Beasty & Laurentius 2.08.01, I decided to give it a try. Boy, was I in for a pleasant surprise! :)

And, the stereo sound is perfect with the t UseJointStereo = 1! :D

Both of my Motorolas HT820 sound perfect now, even though they are not genuine. Though, Sony Erickson DS970 sucks big time.

Thank you masters for bringing my music experience to life! :D

Hi Antigen,

No, I haven't tried the Jabra BT620s. I hear that they are excellent. Some people say that Jabra 8010 are better.

I own two pairs of Moto HT820 and a pair of Sony Erickson DS790. All three sucked until now. The DS790 still sucks.

What A2DP settings you use for your Jabra? Do they work without a hitch or you hear glitches sometimes?

I believe that the problem has nothing to do with the BT stereo headsets, but rather with the A2DP settings.

Thanks for your input! :)

Hi there,

The moto 820 are awesome if your into rock and roll music. The bass is excellent!

But after a while they do feel heavy. But it is a trade off for good bass!

Thank you Ivan - do you have a link to V3?
BTW - V2 is the fastest and most stable ROM I have seen so far (and, boy - I am flashing frequently)

Good News!

I have tried masters BeastyLeo settings for A2DP in other ROMs. My Moto 820 rocks with these settings in other ROMs!

Thanks again to masters BeastyLeo! :)

I wonder what do people think about the following headset:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&hs=NOx&q=logitech+freepulse&btnG=Search

Technical Details

* 2.4 GHz wireless headphones with Bluetooth 2.0 Enhanced Data Rate technology
* Delivers clear, interference-free audio with range of up to 33 feet
* High-carbon, spring-steel headband provides secure, reliable fit
* Integrated volume controls and Bass Boost mode; soft-touch comfort rings
* Wireless receiver with 3.5 mm audio plug
* 2-year warranty
* Patented stereo plug can be repositioned for device compatibility.
* Transmission format: digital

The pros:

1. Big earphones, thus excellent bass.
2. Protocol: Bluetooth® v2.0 implementation with Enhanced Data Rate.
3. A2DP implemented in a separate dongle which can be plugged into any 3.5 mm audio plug, thus bypassing the ROM implementation of A2DP and the problems associated with ROM implementations.
4. Can be directly paired with any Bluetooth device such as Universal without the dongle.

The cons:

1. Might be heavy and may become tiresome after continuously using for more than an hour.

Any views on it,

KOR! :)

How do you tweak it? Personally, I must always switch on the BT8010 AFTER I have switched on the bluetooth on the Universal. I would be interested in your experience.

Hi Eric,

Well, part of the tweaking is definitely the order in which you turn it on! :)
The rest of it is basically setting the right bit pool values to get the quality up without streaming breaks/disconnects.

I guess we're all on the same boat ;o))

Cheers,
San
