Orbit touch screen broken

Hi everyone, sorry to ask a question on my first post but I'm a bit p!ssed off. I dropped my orbit yesterday, and now the touch screen won't work. The display is fine, and when the screen dims once the keypad is locked touching the screen will brighten it again. It also worked for about 5 minutes the other night.
Now for the questions:
Do I need a new screen or could it be a connection come loose?
Can I fit/repair it myself?
Where do I purchase the parts from?

I think you should at least try a hard-reset.. perhaps that will do because you state that the screen does brighten up when touched. Just a thought tho.

there is a small ribbon type connection between the screen and the main board, this may have come loose (caution: it is VERY fragile). Have a look at the Wiki for a repair manual :)
