What is the triangle next to GPRS icon?

Im curious. I get this triangle next to the GPRS icon occasionally. Clicking on it does nothing, and it seems random (although its probably not). What is this sign and what does it mean?

i believe this icon signals, that you are roaming (using some other network, not your own) ...

Ya, that triangle is only visible when on roaming. Its a roaming indicator.

Makes good sense as the network I'm on is currently piggybacking of two others while they expand their footprint. Thanks alot

I have the roaming icon all the time even in my own city ( Hong Kong) , guess because the default country of the rom is US, can I do anything to get rib of it?
